Interesting to see Archie do its own take on Sonic Adventure. Also, wouldn't teething on a hedgehog's quills be painful? Also, I wonder when the Freedom Fighters will find *the Hidden City of the Ancients* ?
Not really. To be as brief as possible, in the Archie Comic, there was a countless amount of chaos emeralds to find, not just 7. The Master Emerald was created as a prison for Mammoth Mogul, a immortal villain that had emerald shards lodged in his body. That happen between Robotnik's death and Eggman's arrival (between issue 50 and 75, IIRC). In Robo-Robotnik/Eggman world, he was defeated years before his "death", and was forced to roboticize himself and upload his mind into a broken-down satellite.
Ligtning Dog wait I thought he succeeded in roboticizing his world? And it wouldn’t be a stretch to suggest that his dimension had a more “game-canon” master emerald than Mobius Prime.

Sonic and freedom fighters became an unstoppable army of cyborgs, hellbent to tear Robo's empire to pieces with their bare hands, literally. As far as the Master Emerald, it's possible, but not likely. "Robo-Mobius" was meant to closely parallel Mobius Prime, with the same history, just with the one twist of Robotnik trying to zap the world all at once and not one person at a time. I don't even think the Master Emerald was even a thing in games when Robo-Robotnik was introduced.

Just start from the very beginning, issue #0 of the original miniseries. If you go to the wiki, it should tell you how many issues you have to read and their chronological order.

It hasn't aged very well but at least it is more fun than many recent Modern Sonic games.
I actually played that game 6 years ago and it wasn't that bad....
