Approximately 70% of their genetic makeup is East African indigenous Cushitic, while 30% is West Eurasian, with components of Middle Eastern Semitic and North African origin.
The Somali people, originating from the Horn of Africa, are a Cushitic-speaking group of around 23 million individuals. They call Somalia, Kenya, Ethiopia, and Djibouti home, and are considered one of the most ethnically homogenous nations in the world. Over 99 percent are Sunni Muslims, known for their devout religious practices.

We Somali's arnt black we are just Somali. If your African you shouldnt believe in the white colonizer racial identification, because it wipes out your culture language history and religion. We Somali's are proud to be Somali and from Somalia. All African should identify like this.Once you say your black it wipes out your heritage.Even in America White people dont say "oh im White" they will let you know Im Italian American or British American so why are African's ashamed of there heritage? So Im a proud Somali and also proud to be African but Im not black because that and insult. No African is black you have a heritage!
