I still have my 95 NH. I played in a country rock band and there wasnt a tone I couldnt pull off. You get enough of a LP sound t be passable, and enough of a start sound, with everything in between. The big mistake people made is comparing it to a LP. Its not a LP, its a nighthawk, and many passed on this guitar, not knowing how great it is. Now its developing a bit of a following. Ive been offered pretty big money for mine. Ill never sell it.
I favour nighthawks over most guitars. Every available tone in one guitar. Makes them amazing for playing live! I have 3. One 2011 limited tobacco burst with the quilted maple, and two Epiphones. I'll compare them all sometime. They're amazing guitars! Let me know if you ever want to sell this guy 🤘
I love my Nighthawk! It's such a versatile instrument. That being said, the single-coil sound isn't "great". It's not quite a strat, but it definitely is a tonal difference that is useful in a gigging situation. I love the humbucker sounds! Especially the mini in the neck position. This guitar can really scorch! And sorry, I won't be selling it anytime soon :-)
@@frantisca Thats a good description. I find mine to be the most comfortable neck of all my guitars. Its not like a strat, it fills my medium to small hand in a very comfortable way. .
Thanks for taking the time to make a proper demo of this. This is the video i was looking for
Glad you dug it! That's why I did it!

😮
Beautiful.. How much did you paid, may i ask?
about $1300
+Scott Tofte 1300 is so cheap to a Rare Gibson Nighthawk Standard .
How does the neck feel on it? Chunky or slim? Describe please!! Beautiful top on the guitar. Wow.
Reminds of the 64-68 SG's: a bit narrower than a LP, round w/o being fat, medium-carve C
