i am so happy to start on the front , right now, my ribs are my challenge big time, i feel this tension around my whole torso.
i get very confused when to the oppsites as with leg and head.This was doing similar to hip lift and reach on the front,I will aim to try both today to hope to understand the differences.
Anyone reading can share their thoughts.

Are these static’s the only exercises you need to get rid of arthritis, and joint pain ? What about strengthening the joints or fascia release etc ,hip flexor stretches etc or are these needed in addition to your somatics ?
Hi Helen, The goal of Somatics is to reduce muscle tension and improve your awareness and control of your muscles. Thats different from strengthening. Once you have improved comfort and control you can strengthen of your wish. Stretching is not usually necessary once muscle tension has been reduced. Lifting left leg off the floor causing Right Lower Back pain. Any cues to eliminate that or should I just not do this movement?
