  • The otter trail is a beautiful 45km coastal hike on the southern tip of Africa. It is arguably one of South Africa’s finest hiking trails and we were lucky enough to hike this incredible trail.
This is a vlog of our hiking adventure along the Otter Trail.

I think I enjoy this long version better. This way I can enjoy a pint and some popcorn while I watch. 😃 I have a gear suggestion for Di. I was heating water in my cook pot for my Mountain House when suddenly the canister with the MSR Pocket Rocket and pot fell over while I had my back turned. The flame from the stove shot out like a blow torch. So I bought a three legged stand that snaps on to the bottom of the canister to keep it all from tipping over. They fold up and weigh almost nothing.

I think I prefer the longer videos also, thanks for the feedback. Much appreciated 👍🏼 our pot as fallen over quite a few times on trail now, that sounds like a really good idea. Thanks for the tip.

I've always played the balancing game haha and I have to keep an eye on it. I know exactly what you're talking about and 4 years ago when I got our set with it, I dismissed it as unnecessary but it does make perfect sense except for when I dig the canister into sand to lower it: ironically for stability😅. Ok, I'll take the pot stand and use it - good advice!
Glad it saved you from a fire by the sounds of it!
And here's a 3rd vote for all on one videos in future😊
