I was thinking about the process of making this healthy jelly: how did you know from your tradition to take seeds out and squeeze it and so on.... Amazing ideas and precious knowledge. They are a fig. It's called creeping fig and it's more of a very thick vine than a tree. I'm not sure why it's called lilac fruit in the description. As far as I know lilacs and figs are not related not even distantly. You'd have to go very far back to find any connection between the two and at that point it doesn't really count. Now, lilacs do have edible fruit, they're called lilac persimmons. But they look like little yellow berries they don't really look like these. The title is very confusing. 🤔
Never seen this type of fig. I looked it up and it is called a climbing or creeping fig (I think). Pretty cool knowing you can make jelly out of it. I have never done this. Here we use powdered pectin. Grandson is a good helper. He will remember this when he is older. I see your husband has a rear tine tiller. Smart man. It's back breaking to try to work the earth and break up all the dirt clods with a hoe. The rear tine tiller is much easier to use and digs deeper. They are a fig. It's called creeping fig and it's more of a very thick vine than a tree. I'm not sure why it's called lilac fruit in the description. As far as I know lilacs and figs are not related not even distantly. You'd have to go very far back to find any connection between the two and at that point it doesn't really count. Now, lilacs do have edible fruit, they're called lilac persimmons. But they look like little yellow berries they don't really look like these. The title is very confusing. 🤔
