The pig skins can be bought already fried here, with several flavors to choose from. I like to add them to my soups, menudo or make salsa-soaked pig skin burritos. We call the lard dredging's "cracklings" and they are delicious baked into breads or softened in soups. Never ate taro root. I wonder what it taste like. Your puppies are looking at you with hungry eyes, waiting for their time to eat the delicious food you cooked.

Basically, pig's skin is bland, but deep fried pig's skin absorbs gravy well. So when you bite into a stewed pig's skin puff, the gravy would burst forth in your mouth while the pig's skin puff is chewy 😋
