- The Restoration Room at James Madison's Montpelier is left "unfinished" to show visitors how the Montpelier staff has restored the home of our fourth president, James Madison. Join the @BobbleheadGeorge crew for a look at the lath & plaster walls that make up James Madison's Montpelier.

My home was built in 1906 and I have been lost on how to hang (or repair) anything bc it has lath and plaster walls. This was so informative! Thank you for taking the time to create this. 😊
Mine was built in 1952 and I'm having a lot of plaster cracking upstairs. I have to repair it all, which is going to be very time-consuming, and I'm not sure how to do it. Definitely don't have the money to hire someone, so I'm going to have to figure it out myself. Got to love UA-cam lol
Please make more videos like this! Great information for homeowners
You got it!
I do a lot of work to homes in Edinburgh, Scotland dating from 200 years ago. Exactly the same construction, except the lath is much smaller / thinner. I wonder if it come down to different timber species between UK and North America
Lathe is a wood wall so for most wall hanging just drive a nail, it will hold.
