I love how Egyptian the ship is without being kitschy. It's AUTHENTIC Middle Eastern décor, and it really inspires me and my own aesthetic sensibilities.
It’s a beautiful ship with some lovely Egyptian decor - we especially loved the lanterns in our suite 😁

Obviously, I'm anxious to see the inside of your cabin! It'll be nice to get some info on the tours available as well. It looks like alcohol is served onboard. That's actually a tiny bit of a surprise given that Egypt is a Muslim country.

hi David. Suite tour coming very soon. Alcohol is allowed but it's not all inclusive so I can only guess that being a muslim country, they do not allow by law for resorts or ships to be all inclusive. You can buy all your favourite cocktails though and beer and wine is included at both lunch and dinner (and they were very generous with it too)!

Great video! A very ornate vessel, certainly more luxurious than our trip to Cairo and Luxor. We went on a very simple felucca on The Nile.
So did my mum! 😆😆👌🏻👌🏻She was in her 70,s as well and loved it!

Your lovely film brings back happy memories of our 2011 Christmas and New Year holiday in Sharm El Sheik. The hotel management and staff laid on fantastic food and entertainment throughout the entire festive season. Snorkelling in the Red Sea was an amazing experience.
I have now subscribed and look forward to watching the other films in this series.
Uniworld sounds a great company. It is essential that tourists select a recommended company as we often felt unsafe and vulnerable outside our hotel complex, or when not on the official tours. The local street sellers were excessively pushy and were selling the same low quality souvenirs and refilled bottles of water that made some people very ill, therefore only buy water from supermarkets, or larger stores and don’t buy food from street vendors.

Hello! Just discovered your video's. The two I've watched are most enjoyable. What time of year were you there? Wondering about tummy upsets and bugs-flies, mosquito's, etc.
Hello. Thank you for watching and commenting. We went in February. The days were warm but early morning and evenings cooler. We didn’t have any issues with tummy bugs (but only ate in the ship and used bottled water) and no issue with mosquitos or flies either. We thought it was a good time of year to go, before it got too hot 👍

Hi, what was the cost of a massage and did they have both male and female staff? The public areas look lovely. Can’t wait to see the cabins.
There were only male crew in the entire ship, including in the spa. Sorry, don’t know the cost of a massage 😞

Well, Uniworld we’re fabulous but there’s a huge choice for all budgets so best thing to do is ship around for what fits your budget. 🙂
My wife and I are on the Sphinx in late Jan. early Feb. 2023 What is the dinner dress code?
It was quite casual in the evening. We always change for dinner but no need for formal attire on here 😁

Did you feel safe. I know uniworld are amazing. But just wondered
this is a great question. Uniworld made us feel super safe and all will be explained in the following vlogs. Egypt is not somewhere I'd personally recommend you experience without a decent organised tour company (Uniworld work with one called Spring Tours) but they do absolutely everything to make you feel safe and confident. :)
