I rode it two weeks ago it was an awesome ride did it both ways I highly recommend it big sweepers and lots of switch backs toward the end heading toward the Harley shop that Restraunt across the street from cherohala hd was pretty good too

Last time we were up there Cherohala was closed. I don't know where you stayed but check out 2 wheeled inn in Robbinsville. Each room has it's own garage for your bike. That trip we headed up toward Knoxville and headed back east through WV/VA headed back home from around Roanoke. 1800 miles
I rode it last year and part of it was closed for some repairs or improvements, but this year I was able to go through it. I love that road, such a nice ride. I’ll check out 2 Wheeled Inn, heard good things about it. The las few years I’ve stayed at a friend’s house by Young Harris GA.
My self and 7 friends road down from 15 miles north of Boston to Robbinsville if you have a group we rented a house at the tail of the dragon rentals it’s actually located on 143 ended up costing us 180 dollars a guy for the week the owner Ron was super friendly.
