Loved it! Really good job and always improving! Nice to see both of you working on the presentations now! Had a few interviews for stryker in Ireland before :P
Dr Daithí Ó Scolaidhe PhD thank you! This was a friend of ours and we hope to have him on for more videos 🤓 and omg that’s so cool! I’ve heard their interview process is pretty intense!
I wish I could be a Stryker member team. I am a Biomedica Engineer lover mixed with Clinical Engineer, I hope I get the technical services specialist at Stryker here in Brazil.
Hi, I'm a biomedical student from Mexico, but I want to work in US, is true the pay is bad? It's hard have a job like international BME? 🥺 I really want to know that, please help me 💔 P. D It's usual a Mexican BME in US?
Cristal Salazar Hi Cristal! My name is Meri, I am originally from Mexico as well! I’ve never personally met a BME that got their degree in Mexico and works in the US. Not to mean that it’s impossible, but maybe just harder to get a visa sponsorship. Usually international bachelors will choose to do a masters in the US to get their foot into the system here. So in summary, it’s possible but I wouldn’t say it’s common or usual. And no! The pay is not bad. It is pretty good but it’s definitely better for other kinds of engineering. But no; BME it is not bad. Hope this helps! We do have LIVE Q&As every week so stay tuned for our next one if you’d like to ask more questions :) thank you for reaching out!
So do you recommend doing a master's degree there? About the Visa, I'm a US citizen, that's no problem. I just study my career in Mexico for other reasons Thanks for the answer, Meri ✨
Fantastic! And great to meet a new face! FYI Stryker now on my stock watchlist :p
Hehe yes, gotta keep them under the microscope 👀
