Thanks for answering those questions that we and many other had on fields or areas outside of the medical equipment side of the BME industry. It seems as if some undergraduate schools focus on one of those three areas as a concentration which is good if one know what that specifically want to study or do as a career which may be difficult for student to pick out until their last two years. I did take some time to do some research to know that there were other areas beside instrumentation arena since many schools seem focus on this area only.
I completely agree, I did not know about my field of interest until the end of second year (microfluidics). I wish they could change the curriculum such that people can explore different ideas during undergrad other than just learning bits of everything. I really recommend finding different types of internship to find your area of interest. It helps out a lot as you get to experience things in real life than just books!
A really informative video. Thank you for it . Best wishes for you and your future endeavors. If it's possible can you please tell us a bit on the prospects of BCI in USA and the universities offering them in PhD level

Which degree is more effective/helpful in procuring a core biomedical job in the US/Canada/UK etc, doing MTech from an Indian Institute or MS from a college abroad? - Please share your views on this Saloni.
There is no one good answer for this! Most of the undergrad degrees do not help you specialize in a specific field, which is why I had to come to US for a Masters. Therefore, I highly advice you to find your area of interest early on and then think about what's the best option for you, a masters that field or apply for a job.
@@CrazyMedusa Thanks for the reply. But suppose one has done his UG in BME (or any other field) from India and is ready to do a Masters and after completion of that wants to get into a core BME job. Now, doing the Master's degree from India or abroad, which one would put him at a better position in procuring a job outside India?
All the best for future endeavours.. Ps are there any internship, fellowships or other academic exchange programs that one can look to pursue in biomedical engineering during bachelor's or masters to gain exposure and improve profile. Would be helpful if u shed some light on this topic too
tried studying but kicked out after finding a bunch of professors were perverts that messed with students . Had such hopes to be a doctor and do some good in this world .
I love your videos. Full of energy and very informative. I've developed a lot more of interest in biodmed once i started watching your videos. However, I've pursued my undergrad in computers and was planning on pursuing biomed for my masters. Could you shine more light on the same. Like whether it requires any prerequisites? Whether a person like me is eligible to pursue? And if yes, which are the best universities?
Hey, the cool thing about biomed is that you can combine it with a number of different fields. Right now, the hype for artificial intelligence, genetics are at the peak which all require core computer science fundamentals (python, java, css, etc). I highly suggest working on a project combining two concepts of computer and bio before applying abroad!
Hi sis... Later seeing your video about biomedical engineering... Am just join biomedical engineering few days ago... I got ma admission in cbe clg... I hope i can get a gud job in this field after finishing ma course... Thnx for your videos... ♥️
It's normally said that the people in medical field makes the most 8n usa. And I personally believe that. Since you're doing the one you would be obviously knowing what are the career paths and what salary you might get. Normally a normal doctor in usa makes upto an average of 200,000 $ to even 500,000 $ . And in your case i am assuming around 250,000 after you complete your degree and actually starts practicing. So a real quick question:- What salary are public health workers, health consultant, or epidemiologist are paid? I have come across several answers about this like normally it's about 100,000 to 180,000$ in which 100,000 is obviously less compared to what normal doctors make. And will I have to give 'usmle' after doing my bachelor's in public health? Or master in public health?
I am currently in 9 th grade .How can I become a biomedical engineer ? I am planning to take Physics Chemistry and Biology in Class 11-12 So,After 12 th how can I pursue it in US ? hello ma'am, can you explain the whole procedure of applying for masters in BME in USA....the required exams, minimum percentage in undergrad and scholarships? thankyou
It really varies from school to school, as of right now, GRE is not required in many colleges, but that was one of required exam. You will have to give TOEFL/IELTS. Min. percentage is not provided by any school but it's always good to have higher grades. The most imp. part is having good extracurriculars.

If you want to work strictly on the research ends, go for Biomedical!
