One of the few things 343 actually succeeded in. Remastering Halo 2 and substituting an already awesome song with another awesome song to switch back and forth to.
It took me some time to like this song since Follow has been something I care a lot for. Halo 2 is my first halo, it took a minute but, it holds up with the beautiful melody and sick licks from the guitar, found myself just head banging and flying around idky
Probably a hot take, but I prefer this over Follow by Incubus. Even with the nostalgia attached to it. It accomplishes a lot of what Follow does with percussion, guitars, and frequent time signature changes, but it slows things down juuuust a bit. It gives it a more subdued and 'pretty' sound, with more soft accentuations, more like other Halo music. You can tell they wanted it to sound similar to Follow though, and that goes a long way in making it work as a substitute. I honestly think this rendition is more consistent with how Halo typically handles music, if that makes sense.
While the song is nice, I think Follow (1st movement of the Odessey) was better and not because of nostalgia for 1st Movement either, but mainly because I can't hear this song without thinking of ATV Off Road Fury 2, as for some reason it reminds me of some of the song they had in that game and as a result it sort of messes with me and takes me out of it.
I'mma just gonna come up with some alternate titles with completely contexts and y'all tell me hard hard one of them goes, ight? Destruction of Beauty Shorelines War for The World The Climax Uncertain Death Escaping Death Glassed I'll Take You With Me Finish this Fight Hope Difference Between Life and Death
This gives me "turning point" vibes. Like it was *this moment* that diverted the timeline and saved Humanity in Halo.

That makes 2 of us.
@Split Jaw and Microfusion Cell or lookin for that grunt party that's dancing to this awesome song!
"WE SHALL GRIND THEM INTO DUST!"
"And continue our march to GLORIOUS SALVATION!"
I’m assuming there were reasons for why they couldn’t remaster follow, but this works perfectly as an instrumental substitute
Because Follow was by Incubus
Because copyright

Licensing. Same reason they didn’t remaster Marty O’Donnells tracks, they’d have to pay him
Cos follow was shite, sounded like it belongs in an Anime Game
Misha did not have to slap so gd hard but he did and blessed us with this amazing track.
As a Periphery fan, this song got me hooked since the first time i played this mission on H2:A, Misha is such a genius.
Thank you for doing this.
honestly this is my favorite track in the game
Misha Mansoor is great, check out his band Periphery if you haven't already also his solo project Bulb is pretty good too.
@@Vulkanzed-117 i see you're a man of culture
Don't forget about Breaking the Covenant
this soundtrack is underrated
My absolute favorite in H2A

This track truly gets better with time.

This is what I listen to at school, and breaking the covenant.
@@UnderusedWeight I personally prefer Blow me away, than Breaking the Covenant. Although I do enjoy both.
Real
For anyone that wasn't aware, this song was done by Misha Mansoor of the band Periphery. (originally an incubus song)
Beautiful. Now this is what I call Epic Battle Music!
Can't stop listening!
Who would have thought Djent would mix so well with Halo
Arbiter Banshee theme 🔥👍
thanks, I love this track

Just beautiful
I feel like this is the music that they play over the speakers aboard the Shadow of Intent
This track is a masterpiece

I'm picturing Halo Legends animation quality with Arbiter flying after the heretics.
Would be a great substitute track in Ace Combat 7.
Especially in the Fight with Mihayl or Rage and Scream.
AMAZING !!!
Why does this feels like a song from the Calamity Mod?
I mean, I love the song but... wow. The resemblance every now and then is a little uncanny.
You might be onto something!
I much prefer this version. It's heavier, more aggressive, matches the adrenaline of the dog fights
