What moderators did Whatnot choose? I remember filling out the volunteer form and never heard back. Whatnot should have live support so when something looks suspicious, a moderator can show up without appearing in stream and watch over and look at the earlier recording.
Same they never did it was all a half ass play if they did I wonder if this would be as rampant......
I'm now a moderator for whatnot. I let everything go by without care. Banning and removing individuals means less for shareholders, investors, and whatnot as a whole. If robbery is taking place on our platform, we get paid.... its a win win for our team. Just wanted to take a 5 second break and pause for station identification and provide that insight directly from the minds of whatnot and the trust and safety team. Come on over and get in on some of the action.... we like to have fun at your expense at every turn of the money counter :)

It's crazy that there's soo many companies of other genres that scam and there's no rattle to help out. All of whatnot is a scam and they know it they like the scams to bring in that money. Rattle you are doing God's work
Not all of it is -legit streamer. Most of it is yes, however not everyone on that app is an asshole there to scam. Don’t lump all of us together please, and thank you 🫶
Not to defend this guy, but Rattle didn't do his research here...
This stream was from 9/2. This guy made a pull box with 103 pulls. The 4 slabs were in it, plus packs. The slabs names were written on white slips of paper, placed in a deck sleeve, and inserted into the top loaders. The pack pulls were written on blue tape, with an energy in the top loader. I only saw 1 pack or 2 pack pulls showed on the feed.
At 38 minutes into the feed, only 1 pull had been purchased. Someone came into the feed and just wanted to buy one of the slab prizes (Blastoise slab). The seller agreed to sell it outright, and took the slab out of the prize pool. Then he took the whole pull box off screen so he could go through them to remove the pull with the white slip of paper for that prize he had just sold.
Then he put the pull box out and continued the game. He didn't replace the pulled card with a new one, he just reduced the pull box count. Some people did call him out for selling a prize but he blew it off.
Since blue tape seemed to equal pack prize, I think he just oopsie doopsied and forgot to write how many packs on one of the pieces of tape. So when he pulled it and it was blank, he gave them two packs, which seemed to be the max pack prize.
Instead of explaining it all to chat and having to show the slab prize slips again, I think he flashed a 2 pack pull that had been pulled earlier. To his credit, it seems he gave the max pack pull prize for the blank blue tape. It appears it was the mod who bought that pull, and he says nothing wrong was done with his pull.
Now the bigger issue I have is that HE SOLD A PULL BOX PRIZE OUTRIGHT!!! I don't think that is how you should run a pull game. However, at that point, only one person had purchased a pull. They had a 4 :103 chance of pulling a slab (3.88%). Then he sold a slab, leaving the prize pool as 3:101 (2.97%). So the first buyers odds were improved and not reduced from the sale, so no grounds to refund the first buyer.
Everyone after the prize pull was sold knew the new odds before they purchased, so no real reason to refund there.
I just don't think you should sell your prizes in a pull game. And you shouldn't take your entire pull box offscreen to sort through them because you sold that pull.
It was a sad stream. I believe he sold 9 pulls in 3 hours 20 minutes, plus the one slab he sold.

He didn't scam anyone. Rattle did zero research. He didn't even bother to watch the full original stream. And then he belittled a veteran... Normally I agree with Rattle, but being so lazy to defame a veteran without even bothering to watch the full feed as research, has sort of p-ssed me off!
Slab prizes were on white slips of paper in a sleeve in a top loader. They were shown live in the full show. Pack prizes were written on blue tape. Everything else was a card (you got that card). Blue tape prizes were either 1 or 2 packs, also stated in the full feed.
The MOD bought the pull in question I believe. The seller made an honest mistake and hadn't written 1 or 2 packs on one of the blue tape pulls. It was blank. He awarded the buyer the max 2 pack prize for an energy pull, which was the right thing to do.
No one asked to see the prize again. He voluntarily showed a previous 2 Pack prize that had been pulled earlier, because it said two packs, instead of being blank.
So no one got ripped off. The mod who bough the pull says he wasn't ripped off. It was stated that the blue tape was a pack prize and the max pack prize was two packs. No prize got swapped out despite Rattle's claim.
This is Rattle being lazy and not doing any research. He gets views whipping the crowed into a frenzy, so he has no motivation to do actual research here. I normally wouldn't have watched a 3 hour and 20 minute feed, but attacking a veteran sort of motivated me to actually see if there was any context in the feed that might explain what happened, and there was plenty!
Now let's see if Rattle does the right thing and addresses the error he has made in a future video!

I use whatnot for weiss schwartz cards cause no store in my state has them and I don't trust online sites since there's designated case hits. But I've never had a problem with the weiss category at all

Still so happy i found your vids awhile ago and quit whatnot, eventually closing my account. In the field asking for a reason, i stated there are too many scammers and whatnot isn't doing anything about them
If more people close their accounts and give this as a reason, maybe whatnot will wake the F up and finally take out the trash

I believe there are 2 reasons you see these pop up a week early from bigger streamers: 1) Pokémon International supplies (in some cases) and/or gives the streamers dates in which they can open up new product (as marketing). This date is almost always a week before launch. The second reason is that many of those streamers also buy directly from distributors as a business, and have received their allocations this week, just like stores and LGS. Typically, as long as they don't sell/distribute early, they are allowed to make content. Many LGS open a number of products early, so they can have Singles' Day 1 as well, so keeping it under wraps is pretty hard at this point. Someone might know better than me about the rules for content creation, though. All my knowledge is from people telling me things that seem plausible, so I might be wrong.

Please keep thee videos up, as a person who got back into Pokémon after years I started on WhatNot and now questioning my entire collection. I have bought from alot of different ppl on the platform. Please keep these vids coming so I can be better educated on what to look out for when buying. Sometimes it is really hard to see the cards with different types of lighting but when they get delivered I can clearly see differences in the color of the cards the back and sometimes the feel. But as someone who is still learning I want to know if I’m getting scammed , these cards are expensive!
