I put this video together two years ago, before Wubby had any official MTG stuff out. It's been really cool to see this video resurface, but I do want to say that Wubby has an official channel for it now: @WubbyMagicMonday
The way the cards are sealed in the case is very easy to re-seal as if it was fresh form the manufacturer. Both ends are heat stamped closed. Really easy to open carefully and reseal without looking sus
There's no proof of purchase on stream though. As far as any legal action is concerned, Wubby did this to himself to try and make a buck. I know he didn't, but the evidence of being scammed ain't there
Idk how that pack could have even been sold by a collector in that state. If he trusts his source, his source is obviously not familiar enough with vintage magic packs if he didn't notice a weight different of 25% (2/8) cards missing. Like that's a big enough difference to where you don't even need a scale, if you're a legit collector/seller. Maybe im wrong, but that just seems stupid to me, and either his source is directly scamming him or is incompetent.
Wait? Seriously? 25% of what? If the pack weighed a few kg then 25% is alot but 1 card weighs under 2 grams or 0.064 ounces. You can really sense the weight difference? Are you sure thats not imagined? Like the feel of the pack and the thickness of the stack is what you are noticing. Even i as someone who doesnt buy magic cards could see the pack looked a little loose as they normally look pretty tight when sealed. I mean im probably underestimating the feel of 2 grams but it just seems so unlikely. Amazing if you can tell though
@@D4nnyC4tz it didn’t look much looser than these old ones look. Most collectors or people selling old pack like this know to weigh them. They don’t have to feel it. They should be weighed before buying. This is why I don’t buy sealed product online, also I ain’t that rich

Started playing back in the 4 horsemen days. Never had to weigh packs for legitness but when foils came out in the second set of the urza block you could weigh a pack and if you had a 3 decimal point scale you could see which packs contained and extra card and thus a foil.
what blows my mind is that a sealed arabian nights pack is $3k. I turned down buying them at $10 new back in the day but didn't trust that a shop didn't already filter them
I bought a full booster box of Legends back in the day (1996) that had no rares in it. Collation was fairly primitive back in the dawn of time when Magic first came out. Sometimes you got god packs. Sometimes you got land cards in the Uncommon slot. Sometimes you got no rares. Hell, it still happens today. I bought some recently printed packs from Target a couple of months ago that had no rares in them. I hope homie you bought this from gives you all or at least some of your money back.
Maybe he was scammed, but unlikely. For 3k that’s a good scam. You just heat it up, open it, and reheat. They didn’t even BOTHER to replace the cards. That’s why it opened so perfectly. Most people would replace the cards, so his friend should weigh it from now on since someone close to him is not replacing them
You don't open a $3 K pack of magic. You save it and resell it. Just buy the singles, it is cheaper in the long run. The printing wasn't bad then, in fact, it was better than it is now.
you dont weigh old packs because there were no foils, BUT i have bought a bunch of blisters once blindly and one of the blisters was empty. could be a manufacture error because scammers arent stupid (moost scammers). i do think you just had some really bad luck
Elaboration: it's possible, not common, mind you, for some old packs to be all rares or without any rares, (although Arabian nights specifically has 2 uncommon per pack that can be rares(technically not rares but that's even deeper)) so it's not too far off for me to believe that it was actually just a factory error
How do you open so many booster packs and not learn basic preventative measures in knowing if its a scam or not is beyond me. Plenty of ways to prevent loss like this. At least it was recorded.
