Narcotics should be given to patients with back, and neck pain. I heavily believe that if you're in pain, you should be able to help that pain.

Non narcotics don't reduce pain more than an opioid have you tried them? Have you had extreme back pain?

Oxycodone got me through my two knee replacements. Within two weeks I was easily off of them. I can't imagine going through this with just Tylenol!

want to know about acupuncture for chronic back pain & neck pain (mild disc bulge ld4&5).
Stretching walking medication or ozone injection are not work.

I have a back situation. The first 12 days I took aspirin then came to my senses. My son in law has lupis and uses what we use to call a drug, marijuana, they call it medicine now. I didn't want get dependent, so I have suffered.
I didn't go to the hospital (because I feared being out of control. I got up once a day walked to the bathroom to deficate. I would feel so much pain I felt like throwing up. I peed into plastic containers, standing up. My neighbor, god bless him, emptied my urine on the days he would visit. On a daily basis I would push them with my foot, to the bathroom and empty them. All of this I started to think of as physical therapy. I found different degrees of excersizes. Later I found the Australian Ballet Co. is known for rehabilitation of Hips. Four of their excercises I have been working with. It has been about a year. I can stand and walk without my walker for short times, I walked to the post office yesterday-I am on 10th, the post office on 1st. Took the bus home. Didn't really feel that good. High blood pressure that came down and bs as I am insulin dependent. But I accidently purchased decalf 3 days ago and the chemicals used in processing decaf can raise BP and be. Feeling better today.

Oxycodone is the only thing that has helped extreme arm pain and headaches resulting from cervical spinal stenosis. It's just not realistic to think ibuprofen or acetaminophen will help with severe pain. You have to take the risk of becoming addicted to a narcotic in these situations...there's no other alternative. You can't just live in severe pain your whole life.

15 advil liquid gels or 20 is better than a toradol injection, drink 15 to 20 advil liquid gels and sit in a couch, comfort couch, not a bed, close youre eyes when youre on the couch and listen to something of 10 minutes or 20 minutes, music or anything, or prayers, when you get up you will feel with much less pain, it takes away much of inflamations, remember 15 to 20 advil liquid gels and sit on a couch, close youre eyes and wait 15 to 20 minutes and the pain will be reduced a lot

Dr Shim.. I have little numbness, i would say feel like sand on both toes and front sole of both feet. At time numbness would spread right
up to the calves, Is this a sign of lumbar stenosis,,nerve got pinch by herniated disc or whatever. I thought these sign always happen to
one side. But mine are both leg,, is there a possibility it is due to herniated disc, or could it be symptom of diabetes,
Maybe i will go for a blood test later to see whether i have diabetes.. Thank for reading such a long post, God bless you

Sounds like it could be a pinched nerve. Have you had any recent accidents, like falling, or slipping?

Obviously you have NOT told us which one works best. You say that all of the non narcotics have problems so is it I have to risk liver damage or kidney disease instead of taking pain management with a low dose opiate? That's because the law is interfering with pain medication. How draconian can you get? Are you a police officer or a doctor? You work for them.

So,if you have spinal stenosis with a lumbar fusion, you tell us not to take narcotics although with ibuprofen and acetaminophen you have a chance for liver disease, blood thinning, higher blood pressure and possible kidney damage. Isn't there anything better to take than ibuprofen, acetaminophen and opioids for pain after spinal surgery? I am concerned because I am going for a lumbar laminectomy and spinal fusion for degenerative disc disease on my back. I don't want anything to happen to my liver because it is slightly elevated and I don't want to be another addict for opiates.

Also a common medication. It has a high rate of causing stomach issues, so make sure to consider that if you are taking this medication long term.
