Great review!!! An Unknown company building a look alike Hobie charging hobie prices must be insane. Unknown performance, drive/ hull reliability , quality and customer service. For real, this kayak should be about $1500 taking all those things into consideration!!!
3k is about right for a rotomold yak of that size, 1500 is about what pelican is charging for their thermoformed clone (its why hobie introduced the Passport when the patent expired.) Hobies prices on the otherhand are absolutely absurd for what it is, they just charge it because they can with the 180/360 patents on lockdown. Literally everything but the hull is produced in china for pennies (only reason they don't have the hulls made in china is shipping costs). Want a 20 dollar Rectangular hatch, Hobie will happily sell you one 170.
Better drive? How? Did you try the drive that comes with this fisher 14? I did, I own one and we also have an outback in the family. Absolutely the same drive except for the reverse thing. It has been flawless for 18 months so far.
@@cyberyakeradventures I'm not talking about other drives, I have not tested them all, I'm just talking about the ones I have in the fisher 14 and the one in the hobie outback. With a skeg down the turn will be less impressive as you are fighting the skeg to turn. It will turn slower . The 600 pound all up weight capacity is good. But I agree with comments below. An Old Town is a better buy. There is a seat upgrade for $150. The official site showed a pic with a trolling motor attached where the pedal drive was located. Steering handle and all. That may be an interesting add-on. The molded in storage would be a great place to install the batteries. The price is just not conducive to a good buy.

Hobie kayaks are already listed extremely high, this thing is more expensive than a PA14 yet it doesn’t have 180 or kick up. Biggest advantage it has is the weight but imo it isn’t worth that much more just cuz of weight alone.
you bring new brands no one ever heard off to the Kayak world. Without you Aliex no one would ever hear about them. I hope you are making at least $5,000.00 for each of these new brands. Otherwise you risk becoming the channel only people who want to spend less than a thousand dollar on a kayak watch.
Thank you. I was unaware of the Stroke brand. If nothing else, you at least are giving the brand exposure to the kayak community. The cheapest I saw this kayak for was $2950.00 and the highest $5000.00. I don't know. At that price point, I would look at an Old Town Sportsman Bigwater PDL 132, or get a a Hobie.
