My favorite thing about the Muppet Show is the poignant, quiet moments like this. The Muppet Show, while it had the ability to be funny, also has the ability to convey very powerful messages.
I remember watching this when I was just a little kid. This has stuck with me ever since for some reason.
Me too! Not sure why, but it really stayed with me too.
I remember seeing this when it aired, and ever since then I always play this in my head when I hear the real song.
I love The Muppet Show. I would watch it all the time back in the day.
Wow even the writers of the Muppet Show get that Hunting is reeking havoc on nature... a most brilliant video and message... ty for sharing this... as an Animal rights activist, it's really encouraging to even know this kind of video is out here ... mgf
Jerry Nelson is a great singer.
Whoa... very interesting... not how I remember it, but... respect for the art 🎨
They changed the lyrics from the original version (from a protest song to an anti-hunting song). But it still works.
1:00 that hunter parts i remembered when my brother shout look of those dudes lol😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Haha, I love that they portray hunters as bumbling idiots.
Now when I think of this song I think of this video. I loved it by the Buffalo Springfield but love this one more.
Thanks very much for putting up this video. Very much.

Kids nowadays just don't know...
Considering this was an anti-Vietnam War song. I"m surprised they got away with it.
I thought it was because of some sort of riot in California
tell me about it, if it's in 2020 they would be get chewed by twitter for real
Especially with this episode, the host was Bob. Hope. He was famous for doing USO tours. This is a very interesting choice for that evening..
And here in Brazil, they for some reason dubbed this music, and honestly, it didn't sound so good...
