I think i might be addicted..... but Curry on Sunday! :-D
Curry is good everyday
I always make sure to have curry once a week, its very good
*ding*
Interesting to know you're into Indian food 😋
CURRY FOR EVERY MEAL!!!
This is basically every stream haha. Pizza, curry, and tea, the X trifecta.
I think you mean... Trif-X-ta?
@@lima7132 😱I KNEW a pun would fit there! THANK YOU, ITS GENIUS
@@lima7132 trif-x-tea
cant miss out on using part of the mix as pun part of course
@@Apothecartea hahaha glad you like it!
It is quite hilarious to listen to X saying hindi words in a slightly wrong way but yeh curry is great and as an Indian, it is basically curry all day everyday and depending on what u eat with, a curry can be made with varying spiciness or heaviness even if the same ingredients r used. A slight change to the method of preparation can drastically alter the taste. Eg: adding just chopped up chilli vs adding chopped chili that has been roasted
The counter going back 1 step at 3:13 is a cool little detail
Take a sip (of curry) whenever Xisuma said "curry"
Get yourself someone who talks about you the way X talks about curry
XD
I am an Indian and I remember clearly how excited and delighted I was when you were talking about various curries during HermitCraft Weekend!
Haha same!
Being an Indian, it makes me laugh when people refer to our regular food as Curry. Curry is just a part of most dishes, at least in our household. There's also a different dish called Curry itself but its very different from Whatever you're talking about. Lol but it's always funny when i hear foreigners refering to regular dishes as curry!
So true... When I realised what these foreigners referred to when they use the word 'Curry'. This emoji 😑 was my reaction..
Not Indian myself, so your insight is appreciated. The way foods are seen by their originators compared to foreigners is always interesting
Oh absolutely yeah, as another Indian. Also, his accent kinda butchers the words (absolutely not his fault!!) and I can't help but smile a little bit on them
The word "curry" in English has a weird origin, with it being linked to both the Tamil word கறி (kari) and the French word "cuire" (which means to cook). I guess nowadays, the English term curry basically covers any savoury dish that uses a sauce based on Southern and Eastern Asian flavours.
It is a bit weird though, it would be like calling every Italian savoury dish a "bolognese".
EDIT: Or even more so, it would like calling every single European savoury food a "bolognese".
@@stormflower2567 X is super Honest and respectful so i dont blame him. I know he means no disrespect lol
All this curry talk makes me want to have some myself. Also, glad to know you liked satay sauce, which made the Southeast Asian in me smile. Did you have some satay at the buffet by any chance?
Youre in the SEA gang too?
SEA gang!
Well, here in India, we got curry and tea for each and every day.(atleast once a day) And to stop it from getting monotonous, each curry has its own flavour. (the lemon/curd ones are going right now, creates the beautiful flavour for summer days)
I literally just had dinner, but a curry does sound pretty good right now...
I seriously underestimated how much you love curry LOL. I've only had it twice so far and its pretty good so I can understand why LOL
I like how x is literally making his own compilation of himself lol
Really should try some thai curry, it's coconut milk with green curry paste, lots of different veggies plus bamboo shoots and poultry
Yesss, Thai curry is absolutely amazing
Weirdly I've had curry variants from other countries: Filipino style curry, Japanese style curry, and Korean style curry and I love them all but I've never had the authentic indian curry. This video made me think of changing that soon.
I mean, can you blame him? Curry is sooo good!
Im getting a slight feeling that X likes curry...
Waiting for the Xisuma curry cookbook
Opened the video and a few seconds in I go "awe hell yeah."
Really when I first came across your content I wasn't sure what I was going to expect from "a minecraft doomguy" but I love listening to you just talk as you do fun things.
X i recommend a curry dish called Kori Roti from Mangalore, A port town in southern part of India. I don't know which restaurants have it but look it up to expand your curry repertoire.
Its really cool listening to X talking about indian cuisine as an indian.
On average he said curry every 12.731343 seconds
As an Indian his pronounciation is way better than I thought it would be
edit:I change my mind
hahaha that gulab jamun was brutally british
Same tho, probably my favourite food, it just tastes so fricking good.
I'm indian and he knows about curry more than I do !!
Hey X
Couple of things
Naan is pretty easy to make at home I’ve made it a couple of times with my parents and it’s amazing
Second you should come to India sometime and make a vlog of you eating curry that would be an exciting thing to watch considering that everything is so different to the food you mentioned in this video. Also everything is much cheaper in India in comparison to the curries that you order. You could probably get one for around 20 pence at the right place
Thirdly Indian curries are mostly referred to in South Indian cuisine in the form of something similar to Thai
But most of the dishes you mentioned are North Indian dall’s or sabjis
Ofc x, you and your curry’s. You love them :D!
My favorite line ever from X was: “after the stream I’m gonna zonk out on a curry!” I’ve never laughed so hard in my life. 😂♥️
X's streams are so chill and silly
I wish I could catch these streams, they seem like such a fun time, sadly I'm never awake during the times and I don't like watching replays
Curry on a waffle? Poor Grian...
I have never had curry and have not a single clue what the man is talking about, but I can appreciate how self-aware he becomes over time
As a British Indian, I approve of this message
Finally some Indian representation 🤌🤌
He’s British so he can’t help liking India…
As an Indian myself u made my mouth water with those dishes. Especially love the curries with paneer in it.
I swear Indian takeaways put nicotine in their curries. I’m completely addicted.
I'm terribly fussy and just eat basic white guy food, but curry is the one food area(?) that I've been actively trying new stuff and I love it. Very happy to know Xisuma is a 'chad curry enjoyer.' Also, I agree that portion sizes are always crazy!
I love these conversations related to india as an Indian myself.. and it's called Sadhguru not sadaguru
are you the indian scammer
Sadguru is what happens when you don’t fall for make a million dollar schemes.
@@Beetless wait what?
These replies feel unnecessarily racist or stereotypical. Just as a contrast... want you to know that I appreciate your comment Hriday 🙂 Good to know the correct way to say it. And also love curry! 😋
@@LeigerGaming thanks ❣
I've recently been really enjoying lentil dahl, along with some (admittedly not nearly as good as you get in a restaurant) homemade naan. It's also really easy and convenient to take as a packed lunch and you don't even need cutlery if you get good at eating with the bread lol
Whenever i saw my mom making curry i go crazy
It just too good
I literally just had a korma! I love Indian food, much better than boring, bland British food! I'm addicted too X, though I haven't got onto the twice a week yet 🤣
My family especially my mom love curry and have put our own spins on it like one time we made curry soup and it was delicious. I approve of your tastes.
As an indian who eats different curry everyday i can confirm curry is good
I had chicken curry last night! It was so good and I keep the leftovers so I can have more tonight!
Yes, go for kurma/korma if you can’t eat spicy food.
My family owns a literal takeaway and they’re specialty is curry’s like u were naming all the curries that we sell and like u we’re on point with the explanation bro u know ur curries lol
You are a currious man!
Me who lives in India
Who eat masala food every single day
And curry almost every other day.
You will love to know when u see in Indian cuisine every single curry has different base curry and masala so everyone has its distinct flavour but in the restaurant oversees I have seen all chefs use the same base for curry never tasted it but i can imagine that everything bwill taste like the chiken tikaa masala curry except not the chicken but all other items.🙂
Btw loves ur videos and occasionally when get some time i always catch ur stream.
The Curry I would suggest- Chicken Makhani and Chicken musallam. In veg- Veg Kolhapuri. In dessert- Moong daal halwa.
This has made me crave curry
I'm from the US and the only curry I ever had wasn't too great. Not too many people here are into Indian food. I'd say what's way bigger is Mexican. That's my favorite food. A great chimichanga or tamales or a giant burrito or tacos in general, refried beans and Mexican rice. Enchiladas and chili rellenos....man I'm getting hungry thinking about it!
a mutton or lamb madras with a cheese naan dipped in the sauce is phenomenal, but kind of hot of you aren't used to spice
FYI Masala is just what you call the spice powder IDK what its used for in Britain
Yes! This is the content I subscribed for.
me (an empath) sensing x likes curry
Had a yellow curry from a local Thai restaurant the other day and it was so good
Who doesn't love a natural laxative
Your curries must have been too spicy for you mate :p
I mean, curry was the whole point of Britain having an empire, so I get it.
Hey X, you should try Japanese Curry! It's made with a salty roux, onion, carrots, potatoes, etc., and chicken or tuna. I'd recommend golden curry roux, it's so good!
Keep Calm, Curry on
I'm not sure how close it is to a proper channa masala, but Mudhur Jaffrey has a great recipe for "Spicy Delicious Chickpeas" in World of the East Vegetarian Cooking... so easy to make too!
Around here, curry usually means thai with a coconut base... It's an easy way to use a bunch of veggies when you need to clean out the fridge at home if you're too lazy to go out.
butter chicken is my fave curry, which I learnt five seconds ago is apparently traditionally known as Murgh Makhani, the more you know I guess
I regularly visit buffets in different cities around the states. Before I go to a buffet, I will place 6 corndogs in my jacket pockets. After entering the buffet, I sneak the corndogs into some of the fried food section trays. It is such a joy for me to see other customers eat
I love me some curry too. 6 out of 7 days in the week is curry. No idea what kind it is, but I always have the same base. Just don't get sick of it.
A good Tikka Masala (chicken or paneer) is always tasty, but I've always liked Thai curry (particularly Massaman or Panang) as well. There's a place in the International District in Seattle I used to get it often when I worked over there.
I agree! There is a Thai place fairly close to my house and their curry is fantastic
Curry is definitely a high S-Tier Food
CURRY!
good starter curries. masaman (cinnamon flavor- spiced but not spicy if you know what I mean) and panang (peanut flavor- don't eat if allergic to peanuts!). coconut curry (self explanatory, warm but also cool at the same time).
honorary mention that's not a curry - lemongrass soup
So X is a curry preacher now xD
This is brilliant 👏🏻 👌🏻 🤣
This is gonna be amazing
I should have invested in curry powder stocks last week…
I don't know what is weirder: X's compliation of eating curry, or me actually watching it?
67 times? Wow
anyways let's curry on. (pun intended)
curry is like a traffic light.. green is go
the title is genius
Scott Morrison also loves curry.
Homemade raw chicken curry.
Curry lover
A true brit! Haha
i like curry, but i dont like the chunks due to a sensory disorder. i do love it with rice though
Suddenly, I wanna see a Hermitcraft x Tsukihime crossover…
We got a curry loving doomguy chilling with a curry loving doomgirl, Arcueid going full ultimate one mode 'cause Moon big, Nrvnqsr providing the dogcatcher with literal hundreds of dogs to catch, Shiki singlehandedly winning Demise, Akiha holding a tea party at the teapot and so much more…
Check out Sakhoni's in London, it's one of my go-to curry restaurants, fantastic selection!
This was absolutely hilarious 😂 miss India and Indian food but yes curry ftw 🙌
Man just really like curry
i think i can only make it 4 minutes into this video and i gotta get myself a curry
CURRY YEP
Yes, now I want a curry.
i live in Oklahoma U.S.A. which is very much middle America, i think a lot of people or most people would assume there isnt much going on here but we have rather large Asian and Eastern communities in the city which means lots of foods places. there are 5 different restaurants i frequent that are various mixes of Indian or Pakistani or both, and one of the interesting things is they almost all have VERY different selections because the people that run them are from different regions of their home countries so the variety is fairly large. im no expert on the food so im not sure if any of them qualify as Curries but i really like Mattar Paneer, Butter Chicken and of course Chicken Tiki Masala. my favorite dish at one of the places is called Paneer Butter Masala as i prefer it without the meat. one of the places also has a variety of fried rice dishes that i really like, i usually think of Fried Rice as Chinese or Asian food but of course it is made with Basmati rice and different spices and its really good.
Nan bread is amazing
Curry doesn't sound like a word anymore
Japanese Vermont curry is also amazing, apparently the English took curry from India, and imported it to japan, so Japanese curry is a Japanese idea of the English idea of Indian curry
With the amount of love for curry I’m surprised he hasn’t heard about Sword and Shield.
The pronounciation of chicken tikka masala cracks me out
Glad you like curry visit India sometime we have much more than just curry
There's a family owned restaurant near me called Curry Kitchen and it is fantastic.
curry must be an awesome dish
Know this comment is pretty late but since it would be Sunday by the time you read this, a bit of advice from and Indian is that most coconut curry tend to be on the sweeter spectrum, and since I am not a big fan of sweet curry I usually avoid them in restaurants. Also you mentioned that meat curry tends to not be that great because the meat flavor overpowers the curry, seafood curry with fish or shrimp is a lot better though I still enjoy chicken and goat curry.
Curry for the win!
Man was 2 away
Butter chicken masala + garlic naan is the best combo 👍
Thanks now I want curry
Right I'm absolutely ordering curry tonight after watching this
I just so happen to make one this today, it's great
I'm honored
This is the best video I have ever seen
