    -----------------------------------------------------
Summer's turning colder, I feel like a soldier
Fighting in a war that was already won.
Positively lonely, for a battle only,
I'll be someone else when I'm young.
Autumn songs are made of poverty and new love.
They come from the past and they exit unsung.
    Adulthood rehearses adolescent verses,
Maybe I'll sing them when I'm young.
When I'm young, I'll be much wiser
And these eyes will learn to see.
    Now I'm old, I'm compromised
    And hypnotised by falling leaves.
Birthday cards and greetings give me sombre feelings.
I just want a drink and my schooldays to come.
There's nothing engaging in the act of aging,
    That's why I won't care when I'm young.

At this point I'm forty, soon I'll be just thirty,
Basking on the beach in the warm summer sun.
Redesigning all time can be done with good wine,
See you down the town when I'm young.
When I'm young, I'll start regaling
You with failing, life and truth.
Now I'm old, I've stopped explaining
As my train's in to my youth.
