The same fellow who had a mare of a match and also failed to find touch in the first minutes, missed a penalty, kicked out on the full and kicked away possession. Cannot see him playing for Ireland unless Pendergast and Frawley are both injured.
Castres were always going to be tough away from home with their unbeaten home record. Munster could have won that one . Still think they will progress from this group .
Fair result, we just weren’t good enough, set pieces let us down, terrible discipline , too many handling errors , 3-4 forward passes at clinical times… we had an extra man for 30 minutes of the game and still couldn’t capitalise.
A lot of hate is going around for Crowley in this one so I thought I'd add my two cents. Its true, that was far from Crowley's best. All of his mistakes were not directionless in the match though. Crowley has a good head for a 10 and has all the right ideas. The penalty was a decision to get some points on the board and settle the team because just previous to that, the team had already suffered a line break in the opening play, knocked on a ball in the air and were out of shape in attack. It was the right idea, but he didn't put enough power into it and just fell short of the bar. The missed touch finds while also poor, were a result of pressure to get as much distance out of the kick as possible. The distance is important for Munster's maul set plays as if they're too far out they're at risk of pulling the trigger too early to give it to their backs and leading to a turnover. The last one of the game was a perfect example of that, Crowley wanted to get distance out of the kick but sacrificed sending it into the stands to get the extra few metres. Again, the right idea, but lacked the accuracy to make it work. The kick out on the full was again, a great idea, the Castres defence had gotten tight midfield and a gap had been created on the right wing with a huge overlap. Crowley put in a cross-field kick to capitalise on it, but lacked the accuracy to pull it off and just overcooked it by a metre or two . TL;DR Crowley made a lot of good choices in the pressure cooker but is seriously lacking in accuracy to make it work.
Because there was nothing wrong with it. Knocked out of scrum halves hand by Blue, went backwards, picked up and grounded. Absolutely nothing wrong with that.
Hate the richious commentator who say is was Crowleys fault and if he had got the last kick down the line, munster were definitely to score. Bs. The chances of scoring is probably 20%. Stop blaming him. We need to be building him up, we need 3 good 10s for Ireland
The International Rugby Experience had nothing to do with Munster Rugby. Paid for by JP McManus' charitable foundation. He offered the building and business to Limerick City Council FOC but they could not come to an agreement.
I think the only team running well enough to possibly win it, is Toulouse. They look sharp, all other teams seem to have quite a few kinks to iron out.
Munster are a pathetic shadow of what they once were. Abysmal rugby team. Ah well, you can always go support La Rochelle like you did last year. SL4GS.

How can they not show that last Crowley kick and just end the highlights without showing the biggest moment of the game
I watched this earlier so can save everyone some time. There are no highlights, it was a shocker!
This ref is brilliant.
Dont tell me the game ended with a "not finding touch" .... who the F was that?... dont tell me it was ....

Come back Joey Carberry all is forgiven.
Munster underperformed tonight and still performed
Bonus point
The referee was quick to give soft yellows to Castres, but somehow forgot which pocket they were in when it was Munster who transgressed.
Result I'm happy. Castre needed a 5 pointer & didn't get it. Could be a decider.
How can perpetually watching TMO decisions in progress be called Rugby highlights! The most frustrating highlights I've ever watched.

That bonus point could be crucial.
Saying that, it feels like points dropped. Not disciplined enough
Hate the Munster Kit
Negative
That was extremely poor from Munster. We need an experienced manager to turn things around
Only thing worse than Munsters performance is that french crowd
Appalling editing. Unwatchable.

He wouldn’t lace Prendergast’s boots
@@sl_721 Exactly, Prendergast's feet are too small for boots. It's more like lacing ballerina shoes. @sl_721
Good 10's and great 10's. Great 10's make good decisions but they make them count too.
How was that second try from Munster allowed? 😂

Who's fault was it for not finding touch?
Munster in freefall just like its cash gulping white elephant "world rugby centre" in Limerick.

Munster were rubbish !! 😆😆😆
Not as bad as the Bulls Stormers and Sharks. Pure comedy 😃😉

What the hell god aweful editing is this??

Bit more subtlety Ed. We aren't saffers.

Haha, great input from a Kiwi. You can always support the lastest new team in Super Rugby. Surely they will make up one soon .
