Hi Anthony, This series is super lots of info and how to's. So far looking good and cannot wait to see it run as I am sure it will as you have put all the hard work in to it well done. Cheers Robert.
Hello, Robert! I am going very slowly and carefully, so hopefully keeping it step by step and making sure things work properly before going to the next step. I successfully did this once, then tried to upgrade, and it's been a mess since. As always, thanks for your kind words and positive vibes! It is always a pleasure to see and hear from you! Anthony
I don't feel like it is so much patience as abject nerves and fear. The big issue is the motors which I finished installing Sunday and Monday. Now to look for bumps in the lines before covering them and making sure the bus still follows them.
Well, I do not know about epic, but it has had a personally dramatic build-up for 3 years before getting to work on it one more time. I have had my sanity questioned before, even by me, but usually there is a sound logic to the perceived madness. lol
Howdy, Andy, my friend! I am glad folks find something informative. I am just preparing to do the power testing tomorrow as long as nothing comes up, then I will try the modules. Then add the reed sensors, although I may do the motors and sensors all in one go. We shall see what happens. Tonight, I am hoping to test the car with some adjustments to the track I have made since filming this. Fingers crossed! Thanks for your good vibes! Cheers and greetings to the family!
It was a bit of a godsend for my situation with the changes in Faller's bus top track. It also let me avoid trying to level everything. Now, if I can get the motors and reed sensors to cooperate... I may find some success. Thanks for your great support to me! Cheers!
I love the progress and the layout buddy. When I move home. I think I will be using Kato track so I can run longer trains on it 😊. All the best. Peter.
Well, this Faller Car System is a focal point, and I really want it to work again, so we shall see. Kato track is excellent stuff in N-scale, so it is a good choice to use it!
Well, it was easier than trying the Faller track and worrying about leveling to grade. Now comes the most intense and nervous parts for me... getting the motors operational, and that will not be until next week, with Arty coming in a couple of days. Thanks for the views and positive vibes!
Hi, Clive. I am in such a slow mode and still ironing out some little issues after I installed the motors- little areas the vehicle catches on and making sure they won't be problematic when I put the road strips down. Then, the real issue- making sure the motors work. Thanks for watching!
Hello Anthony! Your making great progress there, Really looking forward to seeing the system up and running. Thank you for sharing your honest opinions of the ups and downs along the way.
Hi Deano! More downs than ups, but maybe I will get lucky this time and it will all work! Still a week or so away, if I am able to work on it tomorrow, as I will have Arty here for the weekend, so tomorrow (Wednesday 2/7) and then Monday are my next two chances to work on it. Thanks for commenting, my friend!
LOL... Definitely feasible, but will it work. I had it working once, then I cocked it all up. Now, finally found an idea I felt would solve most problems, but the biggest... getting the motors to work in conjunction with the reed sensors. And the worst part is, as I write this to you on Tuesday evening, my brain is suddenly suggesting I try to plug it all into the big module that led to the epic fail the first time around. "Hey, maybe with all new stuff it will all work right this time!" Oy vay!
Hi Anthony that was very interesting and a great deal of thought going into it, i like that. Funny on Friday live I sore the expanse of gray on one of the camaras and I was thinking what's going on there and now I know. Look forward to the next part. Colin
Hello, Collin! Thanks for the good vibes! I am definitely not a pro at this, as simple as the ideas are. I did have this running and running well 4 years ago, then messed it up. Now, seeing if I can do it right a second time. Hopefully, I will have a good idea within two weeks. With Arty staying with me through the weekend, I will not have much time to work on this until next week. Other than some small work tomorrow. T
Thanks for the great cheer, Eric! I am going slowly and carefully, and still messing up some things which I then correct. The powering is still the biggest hurdle, and that comes over the next two weeks, as time allows. Tomorrow (Wednesday, 2/7) is the only chance I will get to work on it until next week. I am not sure how much I will get down tomorrow, all depends on how things test out.
I am hoping it works, too! Obviously. lol I hope to have it working in the next week-and-a-half and finished by the end of the month (road drawn in, etc.). We will see.
I think it is very difficult to retrofit a car system into an existing layout. I think the N and HO scale Faller Car systems are equally easy or hard. It is the same wire, the same modules, just different size cars.
Great explanation as to your trials and tribulations with the Faller car system. The Visseman tape does appear easier to work with and probably will stop errant vehicles deciding to go their own way. Cheers Euan
The Faller wire does not usually have errant vehicles, either, but it does happen at times. The Viessmann tape definitely upgrades upon that, though. In the end, it comes down to the motors and reed sensors working properly. That will be seen sometime over the next couple of weeks! Thanks for the support! Cheers!
Hiya Anthony I had to Laugh ..when you said a final fitting...thought you was buying a new suit lol. Just kidding Nice to see coming together Hopefully bus will go across with out any problems it's trial and error adjustment and more adjustment.. Will look brilliant once it's all wired I wish best of luck with this hope it runs how you want it too😊
Howdy, Mark! A new suit would be easier... maybe cheaper. lol I need to test the runs one more time with the bus after adjusting some things, and then I will test the motors, then run the motors to the modules. Hopefully, I can have that all done in the next week or so. Thanks for the support!
Good job.Coming alone well
I'm trying, man. I am trying!
Superb fixes, work ,understanding, and persiveiring with this long on going project...👍🏻
Well, sadly, nothing has been fixed or works correctly... so... now I need to decide on that persevere part. lol
@@ModelTrainOutsider well you are getting there slowly but surely, I am sure you will do this..

Anthony
Coming on nicely, the paint choice is right on the money, very good match! I take my hat off to you for attempting it
I agree, the color is very close toi what I want and the best I could find!
Looking great Anthony ! Can’t wait to see vehicles whizzing round 👍 the patience is certainly paying off
I don't feel like it is so much patience as abject nerves and fear. The big issue is the motors which I finished installing Sunday and Monday. Now to look for bumps in the lines before covering them and making sure the bus still follows them.
this project is epic. i'm guilty of thinking you were crazy when you said "spray foam." :D every project is a story and this is a good one!!
Well, I do not know about epic, but it has had a personally dramatic build-up for 3 years before getting to work on it one more time. I have had my sanity questioned before, even by me, but usually there is a sound logic to the perceived madness. lol
Hi Anthony 👍 looking good and found this very informative and interesting thank you for sharing
All the best to you and yours

Hi Anthony, gret update on the Road system, the magnetic track seems to be the perfect solution. Cheers, Paul.👍👍👍

Very cool project it sounds like. Have a great rest of your Tuesday.(Steve)
It's been 3 years of frustration, actually. lol Hopefully, this last try works. Thanks for watching!
I love the progress and the layout buddy. When I move home. I think I will be using Kato track so I can run longer trains on it 😊. All the best. Peter.

Hi Anthony, You’ve put a lot of work into this road system going to be great when it’s finished cheers Al
I am hopeful that I can get it back to where it was in 2020 before I messed with it. We will see!
Good work that man. 👍
Looking forward to seeing it running.
Happy Modelling

Thanks for sharing. Stay safe.
Thanks, you too!
Wow awesome gotta see how all this turns out.. gonna be nice 😊
Well, I had it working 4 years ago, messed with and ruined it, now trying it again. Fingers crossed!
Good progress, following with interest for the day I try something along those lines

Looking good 👍🏻
Thanks 👍
Well it is moving forward, let’s check the next video.
More like two-steps forward, 1.9 steps back. We are ahead of where we were last week, but not where we once were. :)
Hello Anthony!
Your making great progress there,
Really looking forward to seeing the system up and running.

good vid thanks lee
Thanks, my friend!
Looking good Anthony I got my toes crossed for ya. It will work, you’ve put a lot of effort n thought in to it again. Thanks for sharing.

Looking forward to seeing this system at work. Thanks for sharing all of the trials and tribulations along the way.
I am hoping it works, too! Obviously. lol I hope to have it working in the next week-and-a-half and finished by the end of the month (road drawn in, etc.). We will see.
Well it is getting there. Is it a challenge to get it in. I was thinking about it. But in N scale it would be more difficult.

interesting
Nerve-wracking, too! lol
Hiya Anthony
I had to Laugh ..when you said a final fitting...thought you was buying a new suit lol.
Just kidding
Nice to see coming together
Hopefully bus will go across with out any problems it's trial and error adjustment and more adjustment..
Will look brilliant once it's all wired
I wish best of luck with this hope it runs how you want it too😊
Howdy, Mark! A new suit would be easier... maybe cheaper. lol I need to test the runs one more time with the bus after adjusting some things, and then I will test the motors, then run the motors to the modules. Hopefully, I can have that all done in the next week or so. Thanks for the support!
Hi Anthony you have the system working your way now for the finale. Regards Tom
No, not even close to running. Hopefully soon. Cheers!
How many times have you bought new motors! Must be getting expensive. I know if it works it will all seem worth it! Good luck
I have had to buy 2 new stop motors and 3 turn-out motors. They run about $20-30 each.
Great video, put some effort into optimization too, it will help reach a broad audience or let me know I will help. You deserve more views.
Thanks, but if I were worried about audience and views, I would just have my wife dress as Wonder Woman while kittens ran rampant everywhere.
