Nothing on HOW it actually works...just music and cars driving?
The most tedious and useless video I have seen. I have the tech and wanted more info on it. All I got was repetative music and shots of cars on the road. Come on BMW some of your how to videos are useful, this is just a let down
11ps is fine but what about the Torque Figure?
Information about the BMW 48V Mild Hybrid or images of the X5.
I was looking for a video to explain BMW MHT. This is not that video. If you want 95% music and cars - this is the one for you. Otherwise totally useless.
Waste of 3 minutes!
It’s not even available in most vehicles you showed on this video.
It looks like finally BMW is free from ZF's captivity. Trying to squeeze this motor inside the gearbox was nonsense when the ISG has the potential to completely replace the torque converter of a CVT gearbox.
Eight-speed ZF automatic transmission continues to be used in conjunction with mild hybrid technology. It is the most appreciated in the world!
@@michelemorabito2939 @michele morabito bro, ISG are best for mild hybrids. Suzuki is using it to eliminate the torque converter mating the ICE to the CVT.
ZF on the other hand is introducing its gearbox & clutch in EVs!
All that extra complication for just a lousy extra 11 hp? What's the point?
Efficiency and marketing
Doesn’t sound like much, but drive one! Just bought a 2021 X5 with 48v mild hybrid. Instant power from a dead stop, no turbo lag at all. It’s a 5000 lb SUV that goes 0-60 in 4.8 sec, and still gets mid 20s mpg, with the base engine. Awesome!!! The earlier X5s and the full hybrid were still quick and fun to drive, just not quite as quick or fun as the new one.
