Lithuania looks excellent, you've definitely put it on my radar. The biggest thing that strikes me is how clean everywhere is , the streets are spotless in comparison to the UK.
You’re absolutely spot on Grant. Even the old Soviet developments that may not be beautiful, are still clean. The Lithuanians take far more pride in the cleanliness of their surroundings than we do in the UK. Even dropping a cigarette doesn’t really happen in Lithuania- they’re stubbed out, put in a car ash tray, and disposed of at home. I’ve been trying to work out why we don’t take as much care of our surroundings in the UK, and I still can’t really understand it
Too right Grant, I'm well travelled and have to say the U.K. is an embarrassment, the country has/is going down hill fast and the government brakes aren't working.
I travelled a few countries around, and one Lithuanian character became very very apparent. People take care of their yards, even in old soviet blocks. People plant flowers, trees under their balconies. Whilst elsewhere a grass can reach your knees until municipality cuts the grass.
@@FreddieDobbs If you noticed, in our country we don't have and don't let to immigrate particular demographics who are trashing environment they living in and responsible for most of violent crimes in Western Europe especially Sweden, France, Germany and UK. I'd agree on pricing. Food shopping is actually more expensive than Ireland. It used to be really cheap. Anecdotally they say the transition to the euro introduced a lot of price gouging. Basically what cost, say, 2 litas got priced at 2 euros which is ridiculous. It never really balanced out. When you factor in the average wage v the cost of living, it is quite expensive to live there. Electricity and gas was always expensive and it was the poor teaching wages that forced my wife and I to leave.
It's weird that you were walking couple hundred meters where I live. Would have been cool to take couple of beers with you! 🍻 Loved how you presented Vilnius.
Hey Freddie so a while back I mentioned buying a Harley after 6 years of not riding due to your channel inspiring me. Well the Harley broke down 5 mins out of the dealer. Got my money back and bought a 2020 Royal Enfield Conti GT (in Mr Mayhem). Who'd have thought it. Amazing bike and saved a grand too! You rock!!!
Ahhhhhh I can imagine how heart braking that’d have been with the Harley, but some things are just meant to be, and it lead you to the Enfield!😃 Really appreciate it and so happy you like the Continental!🤘🏻🤘🏻🏍
I had a good laugh at the sexy shower cap, Monica is looking out for her man 😂. Great coverage brother from your time there, and I 100% agree with the Air BnB statement, super hard to find one here in US for under $2-2500k a month. Safe travels back to the homeland
It's an interesting place whether I will ever get there who knows I would like to think so ,I am left wondering what car vertical actually does to make money is it some kind of customer experience type of thing ?. Are there public type of charging points for these lecky scoot's Freddie so when you've done you park it at a designated charging area or something ? .Good watch guys thanks for sharing 👌👍
Spot on from Jonas- carVertical is a car and motorcycle history checker🙂 Regarding charging electric bikes- Vilnius is fairly decent, but I cannot lie- I’m still a bit scared by the thought of having to rely on public chargers for my own personal transport⚡️
I really like my scooter for round the village and short rides into the city. It's petrol, though: Yamaha Aerox 155. Hepco & Becker panniers and top cases are the best. I still have a Buell. They are brilliant bikes. Mine is the long-travel suspension XB12X Ulysses: longer wheelbase than the one you looked at. My favourite bike I've owned. Vilnius seems like a nice place. I can't see myself ever going, though. Is Lithuania part of the 90-day with no visa EU area? It is a real hassle in Portugal now since we left the EU. Post from GB takes forever to get here, for no real reason. I've been waiting for my new UK driving licence to arrive for ages. Can't ride my trike. I'm thinking of selling up and dumping the place.
Oh wow- a Buell owner!! These are getting seriously hard to find in the UK now, and prices are going up now- really good investment🙂 A 155 Yamaha- you cannot go wrong with one of these👌🏻 Great to get your insight from a Brit in Portugal. I feel your pain because I’ve noticed shipping is much more hassle now🤬
@@FreddieDobbs It really is a pain in the rear, Freddie. It says somewhere on the net that packages are taking between three weeks and several months to arrive. There is no need for this at all. My Buell XB12X was only the second tall bike with long-travel suspension to have 17'' wheels; the first was the original Ducati Multistrada 1000. The XB is unbelievably tractable, pulling top gear [5th] briskly from 1,000 revs/20 mph. All you need to do to go really quickly on it is keep it between 2,000 and 4,000 rpm. I am selling my MT-01.
