Hey Don, I just wanted to say thank you for all your videos and tips. thanks to you i have started a part time carrier in leather craft and have had many many satisfied customers. appreciate you and what you do.
Don cheers, you are a true professional who needs to be commended for your straight forward and very informative and informational tutorials, thank you
It is called a Scout Carry sheath. and was carried that way in the small of the back, so it wouldn't get caught in brush or rub on the saddle while riding. Just my two cents.
Don, I have to tell you that I really enjoy your videos. I make a few things that you make. Even watching you work on items I don’t make help me pick up tips and tricks and techniques that I use on my projects. Thanks for thanking the time to produce top quality videos.
great video and beautiful knife sheath. i love how easy and effortless you make the tooling look. and then to include the mistake and not edit it out was awesome. shows that even the best make mistakes on occasion. another great video. thank you.
I really like your videos because they help me with all the doubts I have and they are very good videos to learn or improve. I would like to know more about the names of each tool because I don't know what they are called, I only know that some of them are a Barry King brand and Weaver but I don't know what they are called🤜🤛👌👌👌
A idea: when a knife is in the sheath, a piece of leather over it with a snap to secure the knife that way too? So it can't slip out of the sheath? But, boy.. Sir,you sure have a talent with leather! 👌
If, after the leather has stretched out and there is a chance that your knife might slip out. Can you soak the sheath and let the empty sheath then dry, would there be a chance you're knife might hold better?
Do the leathermans or pocket knives fall out of the sheaths when working, sliding under trucks or machinery. Worried without the clip locks over the top, they will loosen and fall out.
Hey. Do you offer a tool list with your patterns as they look really small. Have not done that small of work before. Does the digital have pictures of the actual tooled pieces done so we can see how you did it. Newbie and it’s great to see your pattern in real life.
For you guys who want a cut above belt sheath & do not intend to make something , may I recommend taking a look at " D.M. Bullard " of Azle , TX. leather worker extraordinaire & his horizontal vertical pocketknife sheath's looks like a mini 6 shooter holster !!! He also does straight or angled pancake belt sheaths which are my favorites !!! & naturally tooled patterns ade to the cost !!!
What is the purpose of rubbing the edge with the amber colored stone at the end? I've never seen that done in any of the other leather crafting videos I've watched
Hey what happened to your ferdco pro bull? Do you still have it i would love to trade you an othere cobra class 3 plus money for it seans i im not a fan of cobra an there customer support sucks an the facet that i never got what the prommesed
Don, I wonder if a slightly wider belt loop would provide a continuous curling force, which would mitigate against a knife falling out for more of the sheath’s life? It’s always a trade-off against ease of use, but I’d prefer not to lose my knife. There is always of course a snap closure option too.
I was mesmerized watching that tooling detail become more and more detailed...

Well this comment comes from someone who’s never rode a horse 😂
I have watched this at least 12 times. I love the tooling and the holster.
Another masterful instructional video to save the day. My first attempt at making a sideways sheath failed. I know this one will work. Thanks Don 🙏

Great job, you really make it look easy.

It really isn’t about making mistakes. It’s about how well you can hide that mistake where no one will notice it in the end😂
@@Tireguy049 right. same with anything though. i have used caulk on trim work before. haha
I've seen another UA-camr adding magnets to the sheath for extra security holding in the knife 🤩
Thanks Don! I'm always doing knife sheath & belts the most here . Have a couple of your patterns for a different choices for customers !
Very nice, thanks for sharing and showing us how its done.
Beautiful! Thanks 😊
Wow ein kleines Kunstwerk
You make it all look so easy. Great talent indeed. I have to get in craft room way more often than I do.

Awesome..👍🏻💯

But, boy.. Sir,you sure have a talent with leather! 👌
It could also be cut wirh a flap on the back, to bend around the front and secure with a snap/stud to keep a smaller knife in safe...
Do you make any that tilt up a bit. That one looks great.
A lanyard sure help retain a knife on the belt.
Very nice video. What sewing do you use ??

Are the clicked pieces big enough for a 4in Leatherman Free P2? Or would the pattern pack need modified a touch?

I think a #2 bunion hammer toe foot wouldn’t have left any marks. 😂😂. Nice job brother. A canted version would be neat.
Where did you get your makers mark
I’d like to get a smaller one for small products
Thanks

What tool or stamp do you use for the edges in this video. Thanks
👌👌😘😘
Om the issue of the knife eventually falling out ... could you make it so the front is slightly canted up?
What weight thread and needle size were you using for this sewing project?
I went to you website but everything is sold out when are you making more
Nice sheet, but I would have made it with a closing flap so there wouldn't be any chance of loosing my knife.
U gotta use a certain sewing machine or needle?
Is a tap off?
8:34 ....what was going on?
Well if leather craft doesn’t work out for you, you could easily be a tattoo artist 😅

I would think if your knife comes loose just wet the sheath down keep the knife in the sheath untill dry. Then reoil it.

That's bees wax

Can You Please call out the tools you use!
So do you ever actually show how to make the pattern for the sheath?? You started with precut pieces and showed no way to get there.
How much to buy one
