…Don’t tie braid straight to popping cork. Use a leader between braid and cork to help keep braid line away.

Is that daiwa rod a medium action? I think I have the same exact setup a daiwa bg3000 with 7ft daiwa medium action rod

I like those popping corks due to the fact that they don't have a cup top side. The ones with the cup top slow your hook set up considerably.
