Hey guys, took a lot of time out from making videos for a while for a variety of personal & professional reasons which I will explain in my next video. Yesterday I finished my new website so it no longer looks like it was made in MS Paint :) I've also finished and uploaded a new 'Future' pack that you guys might be interested in: synthhacker.com/ Thanks for the continued support and yes there's gonna be tonnes of new content this year! Peace x
Pro Tip: Use the paromento with legato to make the notes glide even with the pitch being modulated downwards you get a really cool effect that when used in a track won't bore the listener.
what a fantastic tutorial! so much valuable information delivered succinctly and right along with each action for maximum 'aha' factor. you, sir, are a wizard of wub, and wholly deserving of my sub.
i did one change to this patch in the routing that i found usefull and fun. if you just put the lfo to "saw down" preset and the i routed macro one to the rate of that and then i could do switch ups in the sound with automating the macro controll
Thank you. You have earned yourself a sub. I'm really enjoying how accurate these sounds are, and I'm loving it. I'll be sure to click the bell as well to be sure to stay up to date! These can help me with my music, thank you!
I'm so glad I found a tutorial for Windows. It's hard to find them since mac's are so popular. I mean, to be fair it's not that hard to switch between them based on the tutorials but it's still nice
Hey, Tom. I'm sure you already have a ton of stuff on your plate of "sound tutorials to do". I just thought I'd throw a suggestion out there. I would really love to see one of Kasbo's sounds in Serum. More specifically, the lead from Wind Up Bird. I love the tutorials so far, keep it up c:
Where do I find this along with your newer trap tutorial presets for purchase on your website? I actually really just wanna buy whatever cool newer sounds you have. It seems like the ones on your site are older. Please let me know! Thanks!
Hey man just purchased the mega-pack, absolutely love it and watching your tutorials has really helped me understand how to actually use and manipulate the sounds. Will definitely be around for future videos :)
Great tutorial and awesome sound! But I have a question: for the sub bass - would you duplicate this synth and low pass it, or would you make a completely separate sub patch? And if it is a completely separate sub patch, would you use the same notes and rhythm or would it be considered a separate instrument with its own, independent melodic line?
hey synth hacker! thank about give awesome guide!! i have one question! what that snare sample name you use on this tutorial? please answer the question! thanks you!
Another Awesome tutorial! Thanks! One question though, in the preview you play with the rate macro while the sound still stays synced to the beat, what is going on there??
Could you do a Massive/Sylenth tutorial on how to make some sounds of 'Aruna - The End (WRLD Remix)', like the smooth pad at the beginning and/or the future synth from the drop? That would be pretty awesome! :)
Hey, can we suggest a sound or do you pick it yourself? Because I'd like to see a tutorial on how to make the lead from FinD Me by marshmello if it's possible in massive. :)
+PacPac I'd say Serum is much better for beginners (such as myself) on all counts, mainly because of its amazing GUI that lets you see vividly exactly what the 2 oscillators and the filter are doing at all times, and includes lovely visual envelopes and LFOs with freely draggable and curvable breakpoint action. I find this GUI to be much more fun to look at and inspiring than Massive's wall of grey knobs. the drag and drop modulation system is the same as Massive (and still great). for advanced users as well, Serum holds greater potential in its wavetable engine (probably its main draw) in that you can draw your own or drag any .wav audio file into it to convert it to a table, whereas Massive's is locked to the factory tables (another note is that people have extracted Massive's table files for free download online so you can drag them into Serum and basically turn it into Massive when you want to). pretty much the only thing Massive has on Serum imho is the fact that it's more CPU efficient, so if that's a big concern, you'll get more mileage with Massive. also
+SynthHacker hey man i love your tutorials. Probably best i have ever seen. I was wondering if you could reproduce sound from Jack U - To U (first drop). Thanks forward, love you man

Great tutorial!! Serum + your tutorials is really going to help me! Thanks so much
How do you create a filter with two peaks moving into the opposite direction? Great tutorial btw!
Search around in serums filters and watch the wavetable thingy, it sounds like you're refering to a bandpass filter or something

Another Awesome tutorial! Thanks! One question though, in the preview you play with the rate macro while the sound still stays synced to the beat, what is going on there??
So glad that I discovered your channel! Thank you!
So awesome! Could you try to make a tutorial for the synth after the drop in NGHTMRE - Burn Out?

The video was great, u explained what u were doing and i learned alot.
You should do a video on GRANT's lead sound on "Wishes" Such a percussive sounding lead.
Could you do a Massive/Sylenth tutorial on how to make some sounds of 'Aruna - The End (WRLD Remix)', like the smooth pad at the beginning and/or the future synth from the drop? That would be pretty awesome! :)

Please do a tutorial on the synth sound for Kaskades - Never Sleep Alone main drop synth :)
Hey, can we suggest a sound or do you pick it yourself? Because I'd like to see a tutorial on how to make the lead from FinD Me by marshmello if it's possible in massive. :)

If i was you i did buy serum you can do a lot with it massive is more for dubstep and future house shit with serum you can make almost al genres
+PacPac I'd say Serum is much better for beginners (such as myself) on all counts, mainly because of its amazing GUI that lets you see vividly exactly what the 2 oscillators and the filter are doing at all times, and includes lovely visual envelopes and LFOs with freely draggable and curvable breakpoint action. also
If there's anyway u could please do a tutorial on the specific pluck / arp su$hi ceej uses on "my gang" by famous Dex! Please!
mine is very slow, how to fix it?
hey can you do an ookay or Slushii tutorial?
It's a good sound for sure
why you dont instagram?
Why did you add the sub oscillator and then cut it with EQ in the end of the video?
The sub oscillator bypasses the FX chain and therefore the EQ because it's set to Direct Out, the EQ is only affecting the rest of the sound.
Accurate
Which sample pack is this?
+SynthHacker hey man i love your tutorials. Probably best i have ever seen. I was wondering if you could reproduce sound from Jack U - To U (first drop). Thanks forward, love you man
