Rekord Bar Clamp Restoration

- I bought this old bar clamp along with some other old hand tools for a few dollars, and I've been meaning to fix it up and get it working. After cleaning I found the Rekord 2 markings on there, but I don't know a lot about Rekord, or if they are related to Record Tools, or not. If anyone knows about Rekord or this clamp, please leave a comment!

I like your hand tool techniques
I love the power tools, but hand tools have less dust, less noise, and less likely to cause major injury. So for a lot of reasons, its much more relaxing. Thanks for commenting Steve!

The handle came out nice. But I thought you were going to refinish the metal portions of the clamp back to something new looking as well... But it works and that is really all a clamp is supposed to do. Thumbs Up!.
Thanks Gary. The tools I'm fixing up are ones that I find for cheap at garage or tags sales, house clean outs, etc. and I'm fixing them up for myself. I just need to get the tool back into working order, and I don't mind the age showing, I just want to stop the rust and rot. I know some say that a mirror polish will help prevent rust but I can't imagine using a mirror polished tool outside on a sunny day. Paste wax works for me.
