People are getting tired of this game being regurgitated every year, with each new release just adding to the plethora of bugs. You can see this on the Steamdb charts: All time peak player count for F1 2020 through to 22 stands at around 25'000 All time peak player count for F1 23 stands at 14'500 All time peak player count for F1 24 stands at 8'200 These are Steam figures, so they don't include console players, but the figures are really indicative of people simply not wanting to buy the same game every year. Also the market seems to have shifted in terms of players wanting a more simulation experience - Assetto Corsa managed it's peak player count of just short of 20'000 players just 16 days ago, and this is for a title that is 10 years old. The time is up for this "formula" of F1 games, and it's going to take a grass roots redevelopment of the title for it to gain traction again.
What they really have to adjust for future games is that they build in a fall off point in setups. So you cant take the extrems and the car still works or is even faster then with a more realistic setup. In reality they run never with max pressure, because you cant drivw fast with 4 ballons on your car. Or they never put stabilisators on max/lowest levels, because you will lose so much time in certain corners every lap, what will result in killing your tyres even faster.
I fined the update 1.6 handing very similar to the previous handing before it I don’t think they’ve changed much a part from the carbs unsettling the car more it’s still way better than the launch handling
I played the game for maybe 2 hours and personally the default setups feel closer to what f1 23 feels but as soon as i use a custom setup it gets out of control with the car moving around a lot
Even in 2nd update the handling was so bad for me on controller I just quit playing, 23 was much better. If they bring it more toward 23 maybe ill play again.
For me I think wet weather handling needs looked at as it is like a drift mode, 23 was great handling in all weather but 24 is like driving on sheet ice
F1 cars have a lot more mechanical grip than is represented in the game. They slowed the cars down by reducing the mechanical grip instead of the insane aero grip. Now we are back at square one with the sliding mess than has been the F1 handling model for years. I know F1 cars are slow in slow speed corners, but that's because of the weight, not a lack of tire grip. There is a difference. I really enjoyed the new handling model at the start of the game, they just overdid it with the body roll and aerodynamic grip. And now they've reduced the tire grip... Also the kerb behaviour is still bad. The car jumps off the ground, when it hits a big kerb, that's what unsettles the car, but in the game it now feels like the tire itself just has less grip, when it touches a kerb
Its undrivable on controller. To much understeer in slow corners and too much oversteer in every other corner. It doesn’t matter what setup i have, it’s always the same. It’s a mix of F1 21, F1 22 and F1 23. They worked together with Verstappen to improve the handling, and they still messed it up.
I havent played the game since the update, but it's not the news I was hoping to hear, its making me want to play the game less and less. I was already less competitive than f123 before the update but now sounds even more difficult
It’s upsetting how they still don’t have authentic driver contracts in career mode.. it would make career mode so much better instead of Lando going to red bull after year 1 or something delusional like that.. Every other sports game has authentic real contracts In it.. it’s just lazy to not put them in F1
FYI (Europeans are a lot more common with Bar) 1 Bar is 14,5038 psi 1 psi is 0,0689476 psi So the difference between the pressures in Game are between 0,41 and 0,48 Bar.
This is what happens when ppl cry about things that are right lol. If you actually watch F1 you know the cars are take curbs and even sausage curbs are no problem for cars this yr even Crofti has said in like 4 races in a row at the start of the season LMAO
They should strive for a base lap time matching race one, with semi realistic upgrade paths following to the most recent race prior to launch, or even make it a semi live system similar to what we see in other modern sports games?
High pressure should be less traction, which means more wheelspin, which means more wear. Why the max pressures have less wear and less overheating i dont understand. Of course people will keep choosing them.
I have to sadly stop play f1 bec halo i cant see the front car and the all view ,there showld be a option to take out halo on and off like cokpit column,f1 now isnt the same with halo i have to stick to f1 2017
I honestly don't understand how you could like it in 1.5. It felt like driving on a track, not fun at all. With the 1.6 the situation seems to have improved slightly, especially on curbs, but personally I still find it disgusting, far from the f123. Needless to say, I wasted money, again. My fault. But please, don't justify them, don't continue to pass this off as if it were fine, you who make videos have the chance to make yourselves heard, please. Btw, how it's possible that the DRS is totally useless? Without considering that on most tracks you can't even enter the eighth gear without using the ERS at maximum output. This game sucks, it's unbalanced, and worst of all, it's not even fun. The feeling of losing the car, of turning around, doesn't exist, that adrenaline of pushing to the limits is absent here. Without considering that sometimes when you accelerate slightly it doesn't go or it turns for no reason...
Looking at your video, I would do lowest pressure for front tyres and highest pressure for rear tyres for a 5 lap race in Austria... They would probably end up 99degrees both... And then see how end result appears. Agreed?
I must say, there are times this car feels great, then it oversteers and understeers at weird moments, but overall if u play this and then go back and play 23, it feels very weird. I find playing 23 awkward now that I’ve gotten more used to 24 and now 24 feels kinda normal tbh

I'm on the fence about whether to buy F1 24. Graphically, it looks identical to F1 23. The only difference is the textures, and the models are slightly different. I'm not really happy with the game itself, even though Lewis Hamilton won the Silverstone Grand Prix. The game is on sale right now, but I don't know if it's worth buying.
My g29 is impossible to use in the game. I just bought it on summer sale, but I've seen people commenting that they had the same issue on the ea forum. Idk if i just return the game or what
I cannot turn the car into the corner without it pirouetting, it feels like I am alonso in the Ferrari, this maybe a setup issue but I am not sure, I have toned engine braking down and it is still impossible
After trying to play others games with F1 cars, for me the Codemasters games still the best ones. The handling are pretty similar compare to others sims. The most noticed difference is of course the lack of laser scanning tracks, but they still feel very good and overall is a pretty good series. I still gonna wait for the price of this game to drop, still not worth full price. It lacks all the content they used to have. They have enough resources to add classic cars and other categories, instead of making another story mode.
The more all of you buy from EA, the more they’ll push out the same rubbish. Stop buying the game and they’ll be forced to make big changes. Simple as that. Power to the people!

I found that ERS isn't recovered as fast now with the exact same setup in the exact same conditions with the exact same usage over 1 Quali lap. Also it honestly feels like they went back to 23 handling now. Imo they should have just left it alone after the first major handling update. Now they've really managed to make things worse by not resetting the TT leaderboards. It's obserd what this company does year after year and we all still give them our money. I hope next year before 25 comes out, we'll see people like yourself with a huge following explain to the community why they need to wait and not pre order this game again. Until EA and CM prove they have a quality product. No one should buy it.
The kerbs still don't seem to punish the driver much. It's ridiculous how you drive over the kerbs like they don't exist. Still far from realistic and feels arcady to me.
I have bought every f1 game on release for last 15 years, after the way the last game was handled i decided not to get this F1 game and thought i would cave in after a few days, the fact i am here 6 weeks later without an inclination to even tempt me in says all i need to know. They are selling you a patched game year on year with weekly patches on top of that and still they cant nail it, you expect a few bugs of course but the standard that games get released in these days is nothing short of robbery, worse than online scammers who take people for thousands daily.
After playing F1 games since F1 2012, I still haven't bought this game and I don't have the intention to buy it in future, seeing all these issue videos...
Why do we still only get 2 sets of full wets? In Australia they have a life of 32 laps each set so if your like me you only have 64 laps of the life combined to do 3 practice sessions qualifying and a 58 lap race! Honestly I’m sick of this game
Because in irl they are only 2 full wet tyre for the Weekend and only if the forecast is wet the entire weekend in irl they get a 3rd set reason why we see no practice in irl on full wets because A they only got 2 sets and B they have f*ck all grip
I just had another go in F1 24 in patch 1.7. They really managed to screw up the handling. I have no clue what it is but I was enjoying F1 23 quite a lot and had decent lap times there. But I even find the W12 in iRacing easier to drive than the current handling model in F1 24. This game is going into the garbage bin over here :(
I gotta say if you gear shifted more it would improve your lap times. If you watch an F1 onboard there is no way they sit 7th gear going down a straight. They pump the car to the max gear they can through each corner.
Very bad for time trials. U run into 1 of 2 problems the way I see it. You either 1) make it virtually impossible for anyone to set new competitive times, or 2) wash away what everyone has already accomplished with the existing times.
In 7:40 you exyeeded track limits but generated the fastest lap. Why can't they fix this? How can someone get fastest lap, when exceeding track limits before?
JD when are you going to get into ACC and iRacing? F1 games are crap.

People need to stop buying this game. I'm a huge F1 fan and playing their games since 2010. But I stop playing at 2020 version then never bought the new ones again. If people start doing the same thing like me I'm pretty sure Codemaster / EA eventually comes out with a good game. Otherwise they'll continue fooling everyone with "NEW STUFF" :P Handling, Graphics, ERS Model, Engine Noises etc. needs to change ASAP! Also we need more attention to my career mode. I'm pretty sure everyone got some brilliant ideas about this mode and wonder "Are they not think these ideas?". Yep they did. And they also think mehhh people gonna buy it anyway why we need to do more. Engine noises are really awful btw. for years! Why they can't cant produce like real onboard sounds. Grawling of the honda engine etc. Codemasters's are really feel like computer generated noise.
Does this game even sucks driving with a DD base?? I’m still driving on belt driven system (T-GT II) and it just sucks. No matter how I tweak the settings and the set up of the car is just so unmanageable and ridiculous to drive. Complete mess of a game
When the game launched the handling was just fine, it's just that only us Beta testers actually knew how to setup a car. Everyone else just cried because you couldn't copy paste a F1 23 setup. If you got the setup wrong, ya the car handled like crap, but that was on the player. The biggest cry baby youtubers would go through their setup, 95% of it was completely wrong, and cry about the game. But that's what happens when everything changes with a new physics model. As I told many of them, learn it before bashing it. I find the cars a bit too easy to drive now with 1.6. I started a new Driver Career and I'm on Austria with 100% AI and I've already won 5 races with Vcar... (50% Race) And I really should be looking just get top 10's. Maybe a podium or two towards the end of the season. Certain tracks like Canada, Monaco, Australia, Singapore, Austria, Imola, and Brazil I can run the AI at 110 and win with ease while still having the 5th or 6th best car with 1.6, while some other tracks, the AI is blisteringly fast and ya I'm 25-30 seconds back of Max. *Shanghai cough* Not exactly realistic.
2020 was by far the best f1 game since then they trying very hard to make the game worse and worse!! Mario kart from Nintendo 64 had in relation to f1 21, 22, 23 aaaand 24 the way better handling😡😡😡
The original handling out of the box was really fun. I loved it. Since the major handling update it's just a F1 23 driver and cars update now... And all of that because of whiney E-sports drivers... Sorry, but I can't understand it. You can hate me, but that's my opinion.
JD, the question that needs asking is whether these updates are directing the game towards a more sim experience. This is what people want but yet we see this arcadish crap. Who ever tells you that higher tyre pressures = less tyre temps? The behaviour of the car does not make sense at all when you compare with what we see and expect. From what I can see, all these updates and yet, the real dilemma is still not being adressed. I did not buy this game and it seems that as much as it pains me, it is still my best decision till date. Codies and EA want the money and that is all they care for. The important thing is to have the game released early but then put loads of patches to 'arrange' the game, like they ever do. I think the number of sales speak for themselves. We want a more sim racing experience in a formula game that has so much potential to give to entushiasts like us, not an arcade game. End of.
never ceases to amaze how they keep changing things and making the games worse and then spend weeks trying to correct it, they really are incompetent
doesnt matter if there are million people still buying this crap
@@philippczeskleba3988 Exactly, they already got your money, and sure as hell you would still buy again next year, so why would they care?

Anyone else having throttle problems? Throttle input 0-40% is basically nothing. I had to decrease my AI difculty from 90 to 60…
WHY ARE MY AUTOMATIC GEARS SHORT SHIFTING SO MUCH IDK HOW TO CHANGE IT TO NORMAL
Aw shit, here we go again.
@@mirkof2068 yeah fair enough, however their lifespan needs to be extended
I just had another go in F1 24 in patch 1.7. They really managed to screw up the handling. I have no clue what it is but I was enjoying F1 23 quite a lot and had decent lap times there. But I even find the W12 in iRacing easier to drive than the current handling model in F1 24.
This game is going into the garbage bin over here :(
F1 2010 still king 😂
I gotta say if you gear shifted more it would improve your lap times. If you watch an F1 onboard there is no way they sit 7th gear going down a straight. They pump the car to the max gear they can through each corner.
Very bad for time trials. U run into 1 of 2 problems the way I see it. You either 1) make it virtually impossible for anyone to set new competitive times, or 2) wash away what everyone has already accomplished with the existing times.
I enjoyed the handling, but they ruined the grip
In 7:40 you exyeeded track limits but generated the fastest lap. Why can't they fix this? How can someone get fastest lap, when exceeding track limits before?
Always been the case in the F1 games. You'll simply get a 3 second penalty if doing it 3 times in a row
@@JDisLimitlessIrl you can't get the fastest lap if you exceed track limits
They need to address the audio...maybe its just me but I think its terrible.
Otherwise they'll continue fooling everyone with "NEW STUFF" :P
Handling, Graphics, ERS Model, Engine Noises etc. needs to change ASAP!
Slower is good
Does this game even sucks driving with a DD base?? I’m still driving on belt driven system (T-GT II) and it just sucks. No matter how I tweak the settings and the set up of the car is just so unmanageable and ridiculous to drive. Complete mess of a game
Its 100 times worst in the wet
Fuck this game
why beating yourself to the ground with games like that instead of sticking to sims instead of arcades ...
I just can't take this seriously at all with how the cars literally "drift" into the corners, how did they got it so wrong this year lol
2020 was by far the best f1 game since then they trying very hard to make the game worse and worse!! Mario kart from Nintendo 64 had in relation to f1 21, 22, 23 aaaand 24 the way better handling😡😡😡
“Biggest fing”
Who else cant break DRS in offline races
I just played it. Feels very very twitchy in the corners. I dont like it
Patch 1.6 seconds slower
End of.
