I made a small wooden box/cube. I had one piece cut a bit smaller so it can slide into the cube like a plug. I put leaves inside and a bunch of leaves still had vanilla color on them and moist with juices. I then slide the wood plug piece in and stacked 70 pounds worth of bricks on top of it and let it sit under pressure for 8- 12 hours. I then take the soggy brick of Tobacco out of the box and gently seperate the leaves, open them up wave em around like an old hand held fan and lay em out an hour. Then repeat. Some leaves take 8 hours and some take 3 days before the strange cleaning rag mop smell is gone and they smell and taste like Tobacco.

hi there im just watching your vid.
I got sent some mapacho virginia cross pipe tobacco.
Phoooooffff!!😢 1 puff is like 50mg vape juice or more!
      Im glad its a cross.
      It smoked amonia ish(proteins)
      No diferent to cheese making.
I put it on a tray to dry out.
Then re hydrated with half a tsp vanilla; same of pg and vg.
Stirred it with my finger in a bowl then smeared it round the bowl evenly and rubbed the tobacco through it squashing it with finger tips tightly over and over till it felt like the bought stuff but with way less pg and vg than the scumbag american brittish tobacco are.
      (Adds weight).
      Less tobacco for same price.
Most people dont know that the factories use 50% shredded rice paper.
So about 25% of every pack is tobacco.
      And!!! Its poisoned.

I grow and make my own pipe tobacco from my garden. I too use a pasta shredder. I wouldn't trade my pipe tobacco for any store bought tobacco in the world. The only chemicals my tobacco has in it are the ones it started out with naturally. My pipe doesn't gurgle like the tobacco is half water. Just a nice smooth smoke. I grow Prilep, Virginia, and Burley. I made my own long stem pipe from cherry wood. I have no complaints, none so ever. I air cure all my tobacco and love it.

So for my understanding: You dont really „ferment“ it but just age it when dried for 6-12 months until it begins to smell and the hydrate it?

    turbo yeast for bakery
you will save so much time
and the flavor and the smoothness is on another level no need to wait for 6 month
would love to see you try it on a small batch and give me your thoughts on it
a pinch of yeast + sugar + 1ml citric acid or i just use 1 drop of lemon juice in 50ml water spray bottle then mist all the cured leaves with the solution put in a vaccum bag and store it in warm place for a week to ferment you will be amazed
the citric acid aids in clean even burn
and also makes the smoke less harsh on the throat
i personally do the same except i add to the solution carob / cocoa / licorice extract in the coffee machine in a reusable pod i make a 50 ml shot and add it to the yeast sugar citric solution
the reason behind this blend is that i love the flavor of Marlboro reds in my personal view they are the definition of cigarettes in terms of flavor and smoothness

So far i understand the tobacco fermentation process in 2 ways.
    1) put the dry cured tobacco in a home made "kiln". You can use an old fridge or make one from isolation material. Put a crock pot in it and fill it with water. Let the tobacco ferment at a constant temperature of 50°C with a humidity level of max 70% for 4-6 weeks
    2) leave the dry cured tobacco leaves in a macon jar for minimum 6 months to a year with 70 % humidity

I've been smoking loose tobacco by the pound for about 13yrs now. Shortly after I started, I discovered a way to moisten tobacco by stuffing a slice of wheat bread in the bag if it was too dry.

Hello, I am brand new to the subject but am going to get into growing tobacco due to historical research. Just to make sure I understand your point-- are you saying that storing it in the airtight containers for 6 months to a year or more ferments the tobacco? Instead of using the "hurried" techniques like flueing etc? Also, just curious-- where is your accent from, I can't place it. Thanks for your time.

Hey man, thanks so much for your videos. I don’t understand WHEN the fermenting happens? I currently have a bunch of dried leaves in jars about two months into the aging process (yes I watched your video about how to avoid mold so far so good thank you very much), is it fermenting during the year in the jar? Is it fermenting when you sprinkle the water on it and put it in the sun?

Some spieces have to be fermented. Burley and virginia can be smoked dryed or fermented.
But many others realy need a fermenting process to get stuff going.

They already smell delicious hanging only about a month since harvesting. I just need to know after harvesting when each stage ends before the next stage begins. Help!

    • @MrSudoma
      @MrSudoma 8 місяців тому

You cannot smoke green leaves. They are composted.
If they dry up too green, you can try to spray them.
Mostly this happens if the drying process gets too fast.

When does the ammonia leave the tobacco? Is it during the curing or fermentation?
Do you aerate the tobacco in the jars?
Where do you keep your jars, is it at a warm place?
Thank you for sharing your experiences 🙏🏽😄

    • @smokinpipechannel9602
      @smokinpipechannel9602  2 роки тому +6

Ammonia will leave naturally over at least four months. Sealed is best, but I've found it still works just in plastic bags. I keep them in a cool, dark place. You'll smell the difference after four to five months. A year is best.

If you were for real about protecting your own lands then you would take those guns and guard your borders but you never do.
