As a biologist with a significant background in Chemistry who also loves a good cigar, I would find it fascinating to take core samples at various stages of this process. The chemical decomposition is so dependent upon moisture and temperature that the process involved would be enormously complex and I wonder if close study would allow one to produce the end product with the same quality in a much shorter time.
A balanced cigar with subtle cafe mocha notes. This and Frescos really punch above their weight. Can’t wait for the 30th Anniversary lines to hit my tobacconist.
Thank you Nick for taking the time to share your experience with us. I love your videos. Your passion and commitment shows through every single time. God bless
you can get larvae Scott. It can certainly happen. We lock the pilons up with an pill that will absorb all of the oxygen to kill any beetles. It is monitored daily.
Hi Nick! Thanks very much for all these videos. They're very well done. Can you do one ,or part of one , about your beautiful soil that grows this product ? Also, can you tell us how you care for it ? So it keeps giving you this absolutely perfect product . Be Well .
Say i wanted to ferment them in a basement with 70-75 degree ferehenhiet and 40 percent humidity. If i put them in a pile with a cloth on top that will produce the heat and humidity i need naturally right? or does the conditions of the ferment "house" make a difference? is it a certain temperature and humidity in that room for your pilon, or will the tobacco produce enough humidity and heat on its own under a cloth? Thank you

Thank you Sir. 👍🔥
Unbelievable detail
Nick during the fermentation process is there any risk of beetles hatching due to the high temps. Or is this just myth?

So it’s kind of like making compost???
What about mold ? Due to high moisture
Can you ferment tobacco in cold climates?
It is.maybe a stupid question but...smoking close to all those leaves ...isnt there a risk of fire ?
It kinda is. A stupid question, I mean. Lol I jest. They wet the leaves. Fermentation doesn't occur in dry conditions.
So much attention goes into it wow
We ♥️ Perdomo cigars.
i think Nick is smoking a double aged (idk what type), the Double Aged series is perhaps THE MOST smoothest tobacco ive ever smoked.
I wonder how long that amount of tobacco in the hall would last me.
Nicks a lefty, right on
Do you have to worry about rodents getting into pilones? Do rats and mice eat tobacco?
Just bought a box of 12 year double aged sun grown Solomons. Can’t wait to burn one!
💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯
I don't even smoke cigars lol I'm just here to watch nick talk about cigars lol
Bueno
So I wonder who got to smoke all that luscious tobacco there?
Yummy ! Datz a scientific term 😉🤓
I guess he never learned dad's technique
How many times can you say tobacco and pilon in 5 minutes? Jesus dude......
