I remember this day, like it was yesterday, when I got to see Nightwish concert in my home contry Estonia with my son (It was my present to my son on his eleventh birthday). In this compilation video, when you see old ruins (the ruins of the Pirita monastery), there where us, going nuts of headbanging. It was spiritual experience for both of us... The walls made cracking sounds to Kai's thunderous drums and to Floor's powerful voice, yeah... it was insanely good. This is a great sounding compilation video about 4-5 concerts. The aerial view in the beginning and the later fireworks scene are from the Kitee Rantakenttä show 16.6.2023. Wellwell, l was there with about 10000 other fans. Floor was quite "heavy" there, but still they delivered a full two hours show there. ⛄👍
First song you have done from the 2020 9th album, Human:II:Nature. One of the heavier songs on the record, Kai had to add to his drum kit to play this. Marko recorded the album with them, but left before they got to play any of it live. Jukka Koskinen on bass here, he came from Wintersun, same as Kai did. Jukka hasn't sung with NW, but he can sing, Troy has increased his vocal role since. Yep, she was pregnant, 2nd daughter Lucy was born in Oct '23. 9 songs on that album, Floor sang lead on 7, Troy on "Harvest", and Marko on "Endlessness".
This whole album is a masterpiece! Have two different versions of their special edition vinyl of Human:II:Nature. Combine the incredible musicians, Floor's other wordly voice and Tuomas's composing and BOOM!!!! Really glad you are onto them.
The nice venue near by the lake in the video is in Kitee, Finland where they had their second last gig so far last June. I was there in the front row witnessing how wonderfully she performed even though she was heavily pregnant. Greetings from Finland!
