Great video and I'm impressed by this plugin. I do miss the wet dry for the limiter section. I think they got it on the single Limiter version what makes totally sense. Would be a great addition if they add it here also. Cheers
Does it seem like this unit and the germanium compressor plugins could both use an updated gain structure allowing for more reduced output or something?
Hello Micheal White Thanks for this awsome review - again, nobody explains plugins the way you do, period. Thanks !!! Could you do a review of the new Plugin-Alliance SSL 9000 J console - PLEASE ???? Also - I am looking to purchase a BASS AMP Sim -- I am looking at one of 4 AMPEG from Plugin-Alliance : The offer the B-15N , SVT-3PRO , SVT-VR and V-4B. Which one should I take for metal and Rock productions ???
Was this originally a domestic/pro level option, seems to run -10dBV and +4dBV, I have an original Allen & Heath Mod 2 desk from 1972 and the whole thing runs unbalanced -10dBV, apart from mic inputs, I darkly remember that going up to balanced +4dBV was for mastering/broadcast, could be very wrong though…
Little I've used the Softube one - to me it's way better than the Waves one, especially the compressor/limiter, which I don't care to much for on the waves.
@@bo3751 I Also have found that the eq in the Waves version is pretty usable while the compressor section is hard to use in the majority of the mixes :(
You can have the best plugins in the world and it all means nothing if the song is crap :)
Words of wisdom.
But makes a crap song sound less crap.

Thanks for doing this. Nice work.
I don't suppose you know what the latency is for this in pro tools? Seems like it could be a whopper.
Thank you!
Nice to watch because the song is very good!
awesome video thank you sir for sharing your knowledge! is there a noticeable difference between the UAD version,?
Its the same plugin
Thank you Mike, so beautiful buttons but so difficult to make it sound right
Toooooo Expensive!!!

What do you think of it with respect to the Abbey Road TG Mastering Chain by Waves?
Great question, I will have to do a side-by-side comparison to make a fair judgement on that
@@mixingwithmike Thank you! that would be great !!!
I was wondering the same thing. A side-by-side would be great! Thank you. I see all your videos!

Mike did you gain stage before coming into this plugin? I’m trying to figure the best way to use it
No video for a few weeks Mike, hope you're doing ok :)
No vca in there!
UA-cam killed the studio example on this one.... Super super super subtle
I don't know if you listened on good headphones or monitors, but it's not that subtle !
thanks
Nice information
Yeah it’s good but not $600 good
I got 4 more days until I’m paid again....
i m here
Waves tg12345 vs zener bender. go!
Based on the added features of the Chandler hardware, I would have to go with the Zener Bender
