Some years ago I filmed the Memorial Gordini meeting in Bazzano, Italy the Amedeo Gordini's hometown. In the video you can see a Renault 5 Turbo and Turbo 2 invasion, and also Alpine A110 and A310. Watch the cars in action on the roads, acceleration, engine start up, details and on board.
Alcuni anni fa ho partecipato all'evento Memorial Gordini di Bazzano (BO), città natale di Amedeo Gordini. Nel video potete vedere un'invasione di Renault 5 Turbo e Turbo 2 per le strade, oltre ad Alpine A110 e A310. C'est magnifique et magique à la fois.......... en 1982 , j'habitais à Dieppe (France) et j'avais 16 ans....... quand je revenais du lycée, je passais par la zone industrielle de Dieppe, et les Renault 5 turbo 2 était à l'essai...... c'était extra - ordinaire, des voitures comme ça, il n'y en aura plus jamais. (usine Alpine à Dieppe en France).
Un petit bijoux, juste un rêve pour moi
The Renault 5 Turbo is one of my all time favourite cars. I very nearly bought one in the early 90's, it was in London and I called to arrange to see it. Arrived at the sellers address and was greeted by the guys mum! She apologised becaused he had been called out but she said it's ok, he's asked me to give you the keys and to take it for a test drive! I couldn't believe they were that trusting! So, London wasn't an ideal place for a test drive, too much traffic and no space to get upto any speed. Even so, it felt great and I was so tempted as I knew they would massively appreciate in value, 2 things stopped me buying it, it was white, my least preferred colour for any car, and left hand drive. That was a nightmare in London. So I passed, what a mistake! It was only £8000 and look at the prices now! One of my biggest car buying regrets.
La 5 turbo e la 8 gordini sono state i miei sogni da giovane… ma irraggiungibili economicamente. Credo di averle sognate più di quanto avessi potuto sognare una donna 🙏
