As a publisher, not a developer of new games, but it's nice to see the old IPs still getting some love. I'd love to see M1 Tank Platoon 3 resurrected and Gunship! expanded upon. And I mean building on the original codes, not a remakes. Release what should have been released.
Well, yes- but I wish there was more news on "B17 - The Bloody 100th" - because it seems like it will be an awesome game. It have been very silent there now - an "Dev blog" to tell whats going on there wouldnt hurt
The gunnery in this game is inaccurate to the point of unplayability. It seemed to work fine in the orginal game. I wished they fix the bug issues in the game rather than just add more stuff.
The original "B-17 Flying Fortress, the Mighty Eighth" is was of the very few games I would periodically come back to play ever since I got it at Walmart, when the electronic section was and eighth of the size it is today. Thanks Micropose past and present.
I knew we'd get an updated B-17 game, I just knew it! It looks so good! SUPER glad they can keep the visual damage model on the new planes. I've never seen just a detailed visual damage model since. Rise of Flight and the recent IL-2 series has good damage visuals, but nothing close to this!
Shift + K when you’re aiming down the bomb sight. Maneuver just as you would the gun at a gunners station. Shift + K to lock your bombs on target. Adjust as needed.
It’s always been a pet peave of mine that the flak in this game appears to be a particle effect surrounding only your around your bomber in a sense as flak puffs don’t change in scale as you would expect. I wonder how much of the game will receive tlc…
It could work great as a console game, even just with a gamepad if the controls are tuned properly. It would probably be more sensible to port the new sequel they're working on, The Bloody 100th rather than this creaky old PC game. So far, I don't think Microprose has made any overtures into the console space, though.

Loved the original. How will this work with joystick or a. Yoke and rudders. In. The new one
hopefully the terrain generation will be improved. seems like its always still being generated as you cycle views.seems to affect frames to etc.

Didn't they fly at around 20,000 ft. This looks more like 6-7000 ft.
