I saw the easybeats at festival Hall in 1986 to this day it was one of the greatest performances I have ever had the pleasure of attending. Stevie was brilliant. The whole show transported me back to the 60's. Rip Stevie and George, you both are legends of Oz rock.
Little Stevie was incredibly dynamic on stage. I saw them in Elizabeth South Australia in about 67 . Stevie did a series of somersaults all across the front of the stage. Just fantastic. Loved their music.
I saw the Easybeats at the Regent Theater in Townsville - I can't remember the year but it was my first concert and I was about 16 or so. (I'm 73 now) I was completely blown away. I have never forgotten it!
Thats awesome! Wished I could have seen them or at least even Stevie. Apparently his stage shows in the 70's were incredible with him doing back flips and everything ❤ Thank you for commenting and watching 🥰
I was perhaps one of the youngest Easybeats fanatics. I used to spend any available money I had playing Sad Lonely and Blue on the local juke box. I thought more of the Easies than even the Beatles. Such a great band. I would have killed to have been able to see them play live. Steve Marriott and Stevie Wright on Good Times is such an unbelievably terrific combination. Both gone. And Georgie gone too. Snowie, Harry and Dick you can be rightly proud of what you achieved. Thanks guys. What a great band!
I agree, Stevie was such a charismatic person and a fantastic musician and entertainer. I miss him and think of him often 🥰 There is a video on youtube called 'Stevie Wright Live at the Bridgeway Hotel' 1987 which is worth a watch. The blonde Cheetah sister sings as one of his backups too! His energy is amazing! Thanks for your comment and for watching its very much appreciated 😁👍
Remember as a young boy hearing the Easybeats on the radio and much later hesring sbout Steves addictions and demons and thinking how sad that this had happened because he had the talent ti do so much more RIP Steve Wright 💎 Auckland New Zealand 2024
Hello. I'm so glad you made this video, as The Easybeats were one of the bands I was brought up on. I'm Australian, and I have always loved Stevie's voice. There was a lot about him that I have learned thanks to this video. My family had a video cassette (remember those?) Featuring Aussie artists and had a live version of him singing Evie (parts 1,2 and 3) and it was brilliant!
Thank you for doing Stevie Wright 🥳 I LOVE him so much! ❤His performance of Evie at the Concert of the Decade at the Sydney Opera House in 1979 was a highlight for sure 🥰 I didn't realize he suffered so much throughout his life 💔 RIP legend 🙏
Bloated and in poor health Stevie did his book launch at Magpie Music in Bega. How he got back on stage after shock therapy is a testament to his natural ability. His carer Fay deserves a medal.
I was allowed to go to a Police & Citizens Youth Club dance in the 60s and that's where I heard "Show Me The Way to St Louis" and that introduced me to Easybeats music. "Friday on My Mind" is still one of my favourites, and the "chuggachug" guitar work of "Sorry" is so memorable. When I watch his live performance of Evie, I get tears in my eyes for what could have been. 😢❤
I agree 💯 I will ALWAYS have a soft spot for Stevie ❤ Such a good man with a heart of gold that fame led astray sadly 😞 May he be in eternal peace and know how cherished and loved he was by so many on earth 🤗❣ Thank you for watching 🥰
RIP Stevie. During my first summer job in 1967 at 16 years old, I really identified with Friday on My Mind. Thanks for the song.

A true legend of the Australian music scene. The Easybeats were ahead of their time and Steve Wright gave them the voice.

Evie was a classic when first released. And is still a great piece. Many will remember Stevie for that piece alone

I still have the first st and second LP records. They should have made it bigger than they did.
I've loved the easybeats for 57 years. Rock on ❤

Unfortunately out there are stupid women with websites who claim to of taken care of Steve,it was Fay that took care of him and no one else.
I remember when first heard easy beats 1966, I just loved the bands music. I did see them play at concert in mid 1980s ..
