We just had our first baby 5 weeks ago. My wife will turn 44 next month and I am 49. The pregnancy went very well and we have what seems to be a very healthy baby. My wife had some bad symptoms during the first trimester though. She now says she misses her belly. Good luck to all the new moms, you will be a mom with lots of wisdom and life experience…..something that some people in their 20s and 30s don’t have.
And your child will lack wisdom and life experience once he/she grows up and he/she has to put off the start of his/her own life and career to take care of one of you. The baby will be in the nest a lot longer than expected/desired. When the baby graduates high school, your wife will be 62 and you'll be in your late 60s. Let's hope the baby doesn't say goodbye to you and or your spouse before hitting 30 or shortly after turning 30.

Freezing eggs makes money for the fertility clinics. Using donor embryos solves the moral dilema of dealing with unused embryos/fertilized eggs, where some believe life begins at conception.
Please tell me how this video is helpful. Scaring women and worrying them about their age is not helpful. If your not encouraging keep it to yourself. Yet we are the perfect candidates for ivf right? Give me a break Nothing but negativity instead of encouragement. Its already hard enough for women over 35 to get pregnant we don’t need the medical community to keep reminding us about it. We know! I also know that it is possible. Why don’t you talk about the possibilities and getting your eggs healthy again and strong. Plus ivf and freezing eggs is not for the regular middle class woman, that is ridiculously expensive
It's important for women to be informed about their fertility. As a woman that has gone through IVF and a former patient of Dr. Doody her information was very helpful.
@@afrikopopmommyhealthfitness oh we are informed alright. Society doesn’t stop telling you but where in her video does your Dr say that it is possible. @Brenda Benitez she said we can be successful, but that window of opportunity is closing as you approach your 40s. So you want the experts to lie to you so your 'feelings' can be spared? Instead of worrying about what society says, listen to the experts and go to a specialist to know where you stand. I'm currently 39 and pregnant, but a lot of women are not aware of how their fertility diminishes. We don't have all the time in the world.

I just had my first at 40.... I went to a naturopathic doctor who gave me NP thyroid and wild Mexican yam for progesterone which was low due to stress....

Freezing your eggs is expensive only celebrities can do that.

@@mklolcoru4840 Just make sure the children aren't in their late teens or early 20s when the time comes to care for their aging parents.
Right time to give birth is 60+ by the time you are settled in career
By that point, it's high past time to forget about having kids. It's even too late to adopt teens by that point.
If you are a rarity you could adopt a teen at that age with others like your significant other helping and if you are super healthy

and here is everyone trying not to have a child
