Old timer Ducati rider here. Having the clutch mechanical sound is the whole point of being distinctively cool. You can actually hear it working. How awesome is that? That’s what makes Ducati, Ducati special.
Agree...ive always wanted a monster and have gotten other bikes instead...but now im looking for older models for a dry clutch
@@Mike_Jones68 Nothing can replace the distinct Ducati clutch sound. You know it is a Ducati before you can see it coming. Now, that's cool.
Two of mine have the stock closed cover and the noise (it is noise) isn't too bad. The other has an open cover and the jangly jangly jangly is annoying sometimes. Looks cool though.
@@sburns2421 Maybe a Suzuki is a better suitable bike for you. They do not make annoying sound. 🙂
@@coolworl well in my garage currently is a 1299S (wet clutch), 851 (closed cover), 999 (closed cover), & 1098R (open cover). So I will have to get rid of a few Ducs before I can completeLy convert to Suzuki ;)

The bike sounds so good Bro! but the thing that I can’t stand is the rattling noise when you start it up and when you are at low rpms. It’s not really my cup of tea But overall, this bike is one of a kind dude!
yea it being a litre bike doesn’t really sound like one but it’s still a great sounding V4, i personally the Aprilia RSV4 1100 Factory sounds amazing
that would be the dry clutch, a staple of Ducati

I like it.. I had a carbon open cover on my 916 25 years ago.. the dry clutch rattle, it’s a Ducati trademark

It’s alright, only reason I would never do some shit like that is because hearing your engine is a central factor to diagnosing it. Now engine sounds are pretty much mute, you’re just hoping it’s still running right lol.

How many miles do you get on a dry clutch compared to as when you have a wet on a Ducati?

@@bellydavezx10r48 I am a season rider and I have seen friends died or had life changing circumstances even when they were fully geared let alone with only a helmet and gloves. Not only it affects the rider but also their love ones. This is why I am hard on riders who do not wear proper gear. My intentions are nothing but well meaning.
@@coolworl trust I get it which is why I'm always geared up. But this guy refuses to even though others around him with more skills riding, wear theirs. The way I look at it, if MotoGp riders with the most skill sets on bikes I've ever seen, ride fully geared up, then I need to be as well with half or even a 1/4 of the skills they have.

I dont know how clutches work but since that's an open cover I assume it getting wet in rain or during a wash is fine?
