I have a few friends who did pageants as kids and they loved it and did it all the way threw high school, now all that prize money is going towards their college expenses
dellaslove that's great that your friends had a good outcome but it doesn't change the fact that 90% of the kids in those pageants were most likely forced into them by their parents. kids that age usually don't know what they want so they just go with the flow. doesn't make it right. same w/ these groups.
yknow.. you never know if the kids like it or not; if they're forcing it on their children or not. sure, there are a lot of tv shows that show parents forcing their children to participate in pageants and things, but w/out evidence for this instance, you can't really put assumptions out there.
yeah.. was a pageant kid.. I HATED it.. didn't matter if I was sick, or tired.. it was about the "gold" and the worst possible thing you could ever ever hear; "I'm disappointed in you."

Agreed, children shouldn't be dressed like this or be put into a group and be singers. They should be children. I couldn't possibly imagine my little sister looking like that.
jaykay415 Childhood is very short and only happens once. I definitely agree too, the parents just ruined their kid's childhood, they are not going to get a future🙁
What these BABIES are internalizing RIGHT NOW will stay with them for their lifetimes! OH, THIS HURTS MY HEART. Kudos to two class-act, moral young men for publicly denouncing this!
That thing America has called beauty pageants are kind of the same thing. Except they do not put them in groups. There was a show about it called ''todlers and tiaras'' that I saw some time ago. Creeped me out.
When I was growing up, in the US, we had several "boy groups" including The Boys (average age of about 10/15 ) and ABC (Another Bad Creation) (average age of about 9/12) they were quite popular with kids. I saw a documentary with ABC members once they were adults where they talked about how cool it was to be famous but how they didn't understand when the record label lost interest. When the fans disappeared and all the people they'd thought "cared" about them were suddenly gone, now that sales had slowed and how hard it was once the fever had died. It is going to be very hard for these small children once the "trend" is passed, to understand the rejection of their label and the public. It's a greedy manager and selfish parents that are the cause and I can only hope that they have a good support system for when they're no longer "in", because trends don't last long.
I'm glad some people can still think clearly! good to know you guys think that way. I wasn't so sure of reading the comments, I thought I'd see people saying 'let them be!' 'don't tell them what to do and not to do, it's their life, their body they can choose what to wear and what to do with it' 'let them live their dreams' 'you're not their parents, you have no say in it' etc. BUT THANKFULLY they mostly agree with you guys! thumbs up!
This definitely is happening in America, maybe not as rigid, but definitely similar. There are plenty of five year olds being groomed through hours and hours of dance classes and acting classes and voice classes and modeling jobs in order to be famous in their later years. Beauty pageants included. An example of this would be Dance Moms, although those girls don't train as hard as a lot of others, their childhoods were taken away for reality TV.
I understand where you are coming from with the Dance Moms thing, but the children on dance moms chose their own careers. They want to be dancers professionally and their parents are just trying to help them achieve that also the show started when most of the girls were about eight or nine years old so the knew what they wanted.
I wouldn't say Dance Moms was all that bad when it started, but because of it many of the girls now have extremely bad anxiety disorders, depression, etc. Plus, all of them started dancing around age 1-2. Dance was all they know, of course they said it was what they wanted to be at age 9.
+Double Chen remember the show where the girls in America dress like princess(I forgot the show name) this is absolutely wrong, they are sexualizing little girls who are only 5!
+michael ruhl I thought I was the only one who made that connection. I was horrified by the "stage mommies" on that show as well as the spoiled brat drama queens. just two or three years old.

The thing I'm scared about is the fact that a lot of people look up to kpop stars and want to be them/look like them. That's why there is a lot of plastic surgery in South Korea... But now that girls as young as 5 are becoming popular and are wearing tons of makeup, is it going to become desirable as a fashion trend for girls that young to wear makeup like an adult??? Media is a very powerful thing and beauty trends like this can actually be very harmful, especially in strict and fashion forward societies like South Korea and other parts of Asia...
As far as I know it is legal to capitalise off of children in the US. That was the whole issue with mackauley culkin. But there's pretty strict laws about how many hours a child can work in these industries. The only country I know of that really protects kids is France. Any money made by a celebrity child in France is put in a locked bank account that the child can only touch once they reach the age of 18, and nobody can just use it for themselves when the child is young and doesn't know any better. In most other countries it's the parents that control the money until the child is old enough, which can sometimes lead to abuse unfortunately.
In America, the money earned by the child is Also put into trust fund bank accounts.Attorneys decide how much of the child's pay can be used by the parents ,for the child's monthly, yearly expenses.Child labor laws are in place to protect child actors, private tutors, teachers teach them school on set if its needed, and they can only work so many hours a day.....
That's exactly why I refuse to let my girl to watch K-pop/J-pop MTV, even any kind of MTV. The girls in those videos do not represent the majority of the females.
+mediatapwater they're probably talking about babymetal. two twelve year olds and a fourteen year old. well, I think two of them are fourteen and the other is seventeen or something but idk
I have a friend who literally dedicates her life to kpop.. and she would think this was absolutely adorable instead of seeing the bad side of it.. and that really concerns me
And then next thing you know, some little kid who sees this and wants to be glamorous and beautiful and famous like these girls gets lured into some creep's house for "photoshoots"...
In the US child labor laws limit the amount of hours a child can work. In Full House, Michelle was played by both Olsen twins because otherwise it would have been illegal.
This makes me think a lot of Child Pageants in the US. I don't know how big they /still/ are, but look at little girls like Shirley Temple, or look up pictures of Jonbenet Ramsey (the little girl taught to give alluring looks). I don't know about having full dance troupes, but this has happened in the US, and many of these little girls were dressed up the same at the time period, wearing full makeup, clothing similar to what adult women might wear (generally of the "classy" variety) and were doing full dance routines, some times with subtle sexualized hints. And it's the same with those beauty Pageants. The girls have to practice religiously, they are pretty much treated like the adult women are that do the same thing. And their mothers can get scary...
+Kuma Still wrong, but not AS bad. There is a big difference between 18 and 12, but there's also a big difference between 12 and 4. NONE of this stuff should exist, but the younger the child is, the worse it is.
Although this discussion is completely valid, the subject is not the worst thing I've ever heard done to little girls. For example: sex-selective abortion, female genital mutilation, being forced to marry adults, and even foot-binding to name a few atrocities. I hope, if this cannot be stopped, that through the mistreatment of these children some sort of "platform" is created for them to be able to speak out as adults against whatever wrongs done to them in their industry. I also go so far as to hope that this will may somehow further women's rights and change the view of women in China. I wish the girls the good luck and better opportunites.
This is actually something quite common around the world. a good example is Cole and Dylan Sprose who were scouted when they were only four and trained until they were starred in the movie big daddy at seven. that jump started their careers and got the the rolls of Zack and Cody on "Suite life of Zack and Cody" many other Disney stars also started this way.
Saw BTS like like like thumbs up thumbs up I think I broke the like button oops WHERE THE ARMYS AT this is not relevant but sehuns birthday in 2hours wooop
you guys ever seen Dance Moms? They've all been taking class since they were 3. The show began when the youngest was 7. Their teacher is a beast. They are filmed for reality tv and they do not get paid for being on the show.
spucy That's the reason they do Dance Moms: So they can become famous and then they start getting paid gigs like children's TV shows and Music Videos. The actual Dance Moms reality show still doesnot pay them.
Mike: Hey Yi, you see Miley Cyrus Bowling Ball? Yi: What do you mean? Mike: She made a song where she's naked and called it Bowling Ball Yi: Yeah, I'm not gonna be seen with you anymore
Clearly you guys haven't heard of toddlers and tiaras - an American show about little girls in makeup performing and competing in beauty pageants. Child exploitation is international. Most of it is done by parents, behind closed doors. 5 year olds have no capacity for judging what's right or wrong. As infuriating as it is there's nothing that can be done really.
+Kalissa Brooks While women are also capable of sexual abuse it is by far far faaaar less. When women can't control themselves they don't insert things into unwilling participants and thereby actually violating them. That's not how it works lol But sure there are women who run illegal brothels that enslave trafficked women, and those who are complacent. But it's not the same.
I honestly don't think it's that weird. It's not like 5 year olds singing and dancing would entertain adults, but they would definitely entertain /other/ 5 year olds. It's kids entertaining other kids. And their dance moves aren't sexy. At all. And if you think that they are then you are the one who has a problem here. I can see this being popular on pre-k tv in China or something, I don't understand how that's so weird.
I agree..sexy was the last thing on my mind. I actually thought their dancing was cute. my only worry is that it might be hard on them and I can imagine a 5 year old choosing to do this so they are being forced to do this by either their parents or managers. I wish we'd just let kids be kids these days and not force something on them until they're of the age to choose for themselves. and all of this does expose them to potential sexual abuse cuz there are sick people out there.
+oreninja There are a lots of phedophiles out there......they will surely get entertained with 5 year old girls dancing in mini skirts or just random outfits
Hannah Mckay True, but it doesn't mean they're forced to do this. Kids are in dance classes all the time by choice. Don't get me wrong, I'm SURE there are definitely kids that are forced to do this by their parents, but there's no need to assume all of them are.
Milica Vukmir So because there are pedophiles out there, we must force children to dress like the Amish, right? I guess we should never take them to the beach or pool because we don't want pedophiles looking at their bathing suits, right? And when it's hot out, too bad they must wear pants and not shorts because a pedophile might see their legs, right? While we're at it, let's just keep all children locked in their room 24/7 just in case!
Even with America's got Talent or The Voice, when I see a little girl, dancing, wearing a little makeup I do not think it's bad. It's cute and it has a "wow" factor to it that makes me feel okay by watching this. But THIS is wrong on so many levels. The adult makeup, photoshop, they look much older than 5 in thoe pictures and that is purely to sexualize the girls. Ugh, makes me a little sick to imagine what type of audience they draw in.
kpop train kids just as young. the average debut age is 14, Girls Generation at the time of debut all of them bar 1 was 18. GP Basic debuted with a 12 year old member until the broadcasting board or something put their foot down. She was taken of screen but was still performing outside. These girls were all dressed in skimpy clothes and selling sex overtly. Same deal for the boys. Conclusion, it is correct to compare the two.
+10631618 10631618 You can "compare" the industries but these children are Chinese not Korean, to say it's the same is not correct! And 12 is not 5, plus you say they stopped the 12 year old. Nobody is stopping these babies. Yes, every place has people doing wrong. In America we have stupid people sexualizing 5 year olds in kid's pageants. Again put the blame where it belongs for each case.
I think we're talking at cross purposes here. I wasn't absolving CPOP but don't see why we can't do a comparison and say they are essentially the same. Both are child exploitation. Just because one group is 5 yr and performing, and another is not performing, or is performing at 12 yr, it does not make it any less a child exploitation case. Are you saying that the case is less significant because the 12 yr old is older? Anyway, I won't comment anymore.
this is very common in Japan actually for idol girl groups. this company Hello! Project hires young girls as young as 6, and the fan base are all males in their 30s and older.
Exactly totally agree! That's why people should stop comparing Big Bang with One Direction or Justin Bieber with Henry Lau etc. It's not even comparable! And i really feel sorry for those kids. This is crazy. They should play with their friends, discover what they like, instead of doing idol training.
Crazyy Unicorns Like they talked about it in this video. The training is totally different between Kpop idols and Western boybands. But Western media called Big Bang the One Direction of Korea. That's why I mentioned it.
I think Toddlers and Tiaras is worse 'cause their parents are literally teaching them to twerk and dress in little bikinis. I feel like Mini Girls can be a good thing if they target children like Kids Bop.
Cheyanne Smith Yeah... it was just really creepy. The moms were lowkey neglecting the kids too like feeding them gallons of sugar so they would stay awake and preform.
Toddlers in Tiaras is disgusting. THAT is sexualizing children. I mean obviously not always but watching them in practically lingerie swinging their hips like no.
Yeah, the first time when I saw this group... I felt sick, sick of their parents. There is no disadvantage to explore interests, but without utilitarian.
I am not shocked since I 've known 7princess KPOP group of kids age 6-11 and when they are 12 it is their last year before they must graduate from the band. If you have not heard, look them up. They do seem to have a lot of fun and I think they do great, they make children song, cute princessy, and it is adorable and purely child-friendly for kids. Age 12 (High school, puberty) they release them and I think it is wonderful how they did, but I have since years ago not re-studied what they truly are doing and whatnot if I am missing out on something. ^^ Might look up soon
so what. you can enjoy cute little girls dancing. everything doesn't have to be child exploitation. Children are a lot tougher than adults think they are. Don't be overly sensitive here.
It's not really just the exploitation though. Making kids famous at a young age makes them grow up fast and have no room for a regular childhood. That and they already have to be concerned with being perfect 24/7. Plus it's possible that their parents are forcing them to do this. At any rate, their lives are probably going to be 10x more stressful than the average 5 year Olds life, and it probably won't end as they get older
I love it when you guys bring up issues like these. Some people think is "cute" to oversexualize a child by making them look like grown women. But in reality, they are taking their childhood away and opening them up to creeps that are sick and want to see more of them.
I don't find that it's sexualising them tbh. They're not dressing with loads of skin exposed, or doing sexy dance moves. All I find troubling is that they're losing their childhood and they're missing out on education I also don't like the idea of how they train idols as well. To me they seem sort of extreme. Having little kids to do this is just ridiculous when they could just spend their life having fun at this stage instead of focusing on a career.
God,we beg you to bless+protect these children...but help and their parents' minds...Business will be whatever kind of business for ever.Anyway, families're totally resposible for their kids' good&safety.
although I do not agree with what the parents of these girls are letting them endure at such a young age, I repeat I DO NOT CONDONE THIS. what is the difference between a child idol and a child actor?
Well, a child idol has to dance to sometime sexual stuff like how they r dancing to "shake it" by SISTAR in the video which the dance includes butt shaking and I don't think it's pleasant for kids to do that and who knows? Maybe they r teaching them other sexual dancing. A child actor tho just has to act in a movie or drama without sexualizing themselves.. Y'know like just act as children xD
+Nell Lane Child idols also do full make up like adults and dress so fashionable like adults as well... As if they aren't children anymore -_- Like bruh I'm 15 and I don't put on that much make up >_
they do this in america too, those little pageants where little girls wear little bikinis, theyre acting as if this has never existed, it has, just in different forms
i feel like no child should be put to work and being capitalized by a company that wants nothing more than the money they make. children literally change their mind every second what they wanna e what they grow up, what their hobbies like, what their favorite show is. 5 year olds are in kindergarden! just imagine how long it took for those kids took the girls to even memorize the dance. it’s sick to take advantage of these girls and there’s pedophiles in entertainment man, you really gonna trust these little children with strange adults alone????
They tried this is in korea like 3 or 4 years ago and it didn't end well for them because people kept saying these are way to young for the kpop life because it is a rough life. This group will soon see the same end.
Thanks for expressing your thoughts on this subject. I also agree that children as young as 5 don't know what they want and most of the decisions are made by their parents. BTW I'm a Kpop fan.
South Korea used to have groups like this (well not as young as 5 but like 9/10 year olds) but the passed a law a long time ago that anyone under the age of 14(korean age. Their age system confuses me) cannot debut as a k-idol or something like that. I remember when GP Basic debuted was around the sametime that law was passed and the youngest member, Janey (12), was no longer allowed to perform on stage.
+Elise Weusthuis some parts maybe but they are talking about the "behind the scenes" parts.. to achieve the synchro dances they had to train *a lot* especially if they are so young~ this could be tiring for them or they could lack sleep etc just as adults idols but for kids it is primordial really :/
+Elise Weusthuis it can be fun but you should know that almost all kpop idols stay awake whole night until they perfect the coreo.....they sleep like 4-5 hours everyday because most of the times they have 2 or more TV appearances a day....... i guess that it's not much different with these girls since they are making them have 'kpop style'
I dunno I don't think we know enough about the way they are working to really be able to say if it's bad for them or not. If they are working as hard as adult idols that would probably be too much but maybe they are not.
they are doing sistar's dances....thats too advanced for a 5 year old. those are adult dances U_U good on sistar, they are of age....not good on mini girls, who need to stay little girls.
+Chef Jasmine there is also little Korean girl quite famous for doing kpop dances.....her name is Son Haeun and she also did sistar's dance cover.........
As a Chinese, I didn't know anything about this group until watching this video. So cannot say how popular this kids group would be. I also agree with the concerns you expressed in the video. I believe you guys aren't the only ones who wanna criticize kids getting involved in the entertaining industry at young ages, especially when the industry wanna sexualize them. I support criticism b/c that is how people exchange different ideas from different perspectives. However when continuing watching, I cannot help but notice there are so many stereotypes brought up in the video. It got to a place where I was wondering whether the criticism was only for the issue or just for China itself. I believe the purpose of the video is for raising more awareness from people about this issue, not for completely denying a country. So if I was right about the reason of making the video, I would think about how to make my own purpose more clearly.
I was in pre-school when my parents put me into dance classes. I don't see much difference between that and this. As a child I loved it. The highlight was the costumes and putting on the performance at the big venue every year. I did it until I was 12 and it was a great way to exercise, to be taught how to appreciate the way I look, etc. If you don't want it to be a trend, don't watch it. If nobody watches it won't make money and it won't be a trend. Your "outrage" is publicity. You aren't doctors, how do you know it's "harmful"?
I was in dance as a kid too, and you're right, it was fun. But my teacher didn't put me in a crop top and miniskirt and teach me to shake my hips, nor did she take pics of me in a T-shirt (and nothing else) and sell it for a national audience. I'm guessing your teachers and parents didn't do those things either.
Crop-tops and little shorts--honestly some of these outfits are a lot more clothing than the leotards and tutu's I wore as a kid. I remember how cold it sometimes was going out in winter wearing skin-tight clothing but it's acceptable because it's not associated with popular music? I don't know it just seems very hypocritical of us to say "this music is okay for kids to dance to" but this other stuff isn't. It just seems the same to me. Maybe the people who look at these KIDS and see something sexual are the ones with problems.
What about child actors? Mary-kate and Ashley Olson put into making TV shows from birth. I never hear anyone complain about children in movies and TV shows and taking away their childhoods. Don't take me the wrong way, I'm not saying this is ok. I'm saying you should also be against any type of child labor including movies and T.V. shows. Not just this.
If were in Brazil, this would be the great moment seasonal, as I have not the Brazilian culture, I have none courage of make this with a daughter! Thank you for uploading this for us to see and be careful. Success!
It reminds me of child pageants here in the USA. Parents need to stop pushing their dreams on their children. :(
ikr

reminds me on these creepy awful beauty pageants in america.... These girls are already overly sexualized..
It's all in the eyes of the beholder. It says more about you and your beliefs than about others.
I am so proud of both you guys for everything you expressed in this video. You are perfectly right.
Same!
truth!
agreed
jaykay415 Childhood is very short and only happens once. I definitely agree too, the parents just ruined their kid's childhood, they are not going to get a future🙁

I'd almost go as far as to think of it as child labour.

its been off for years I think
Aren't the child pageants doing the same?
+Nadeine Burnett Yes and both are wrong and disgusting, your point?
+LaAnzuAngel It was just a question...so chill.
+LaAnzuAngel the point is such disgusting things happen not only in China, but also in USA
+Nadeine Burnett yes and both are disgusting.
yep and that is one of the reason why i will never go to America
Reminds me of Toddlers and Tiara's.And i wouldn't be surprised if their parents have a hand in it.

If I were a charge, I wouldnt let anyone before the age of 18 debut. Glad you guys are against that.
I have a friend who literally dedicates her life to kpop.. and she would think this was absolutely adorable instead of seeing the bad side of it.. and that really concerns me
Depends a lot of Kpop fans hate cpop with a passion
And then next thing you know, some little kid who sees this and wants to be glamorous and beautiful and famous like these girls gets lured into some creep's house for "photoshoots"...
In the US child labor laws limit the amount of hours a child can work. In Full House, Michelle was played by both Olsen twins because otherwise it would have been illegal.
I really like the healthy way you guys are thinking. Very good video.
How do you guys feel about Baby Metal then? It's a Japanese metal/pop group that started when the girls were 12, 12, and 14 (I think).
But they aren't 5, this is far more extreme
+Silent Swiftness That's still creepy though.
+Sauron true
I wish the girls the good luck and better opportunites.
these five year olds are 1000000 times prettier than me...imagine what they'd look like when they hit puberty o.O
+Sam Winters that's ....creepy :/
This is so sad and shocking! Thank you for sharing the topic with us.
Let's hope that it'll not become a trend but I share the fear with Mike.
Why can't I find any song or video of them?
China is a communist country so I doubt u'll find any content from them on here.
Ooohhhkey thank you guys 😊
+Leonela Pontes look up mini girls 中国 I found some
Youku.com is China UA-cam
+Leonela Pontes v.youku.com/v_show/id_XMTUyMTEyNjA0NA==.html?from=s1.8-1-1.2
ARMY!!!
YEAHHHH ARMYS EVERYWHERE
Heyyy
+Lucy Yang LOL same saw bts and was like oh yeh bts rulez!
I'm late but #ARMYFORLIFE [whisper] bias is kim taehyung he is mine end of(not being rude just saying)
you guys ever seen Dance Moms? They've all been taking class since they were 3. The show began when the youngest was 7. Their teacher is a beast. They are filmed for reality tv and they do not get paid for being on the show.
Omg that is so true... It's so disgusting
sounds awful, ill go search the detail
I think they do get paid now. A lot of the kids from that show have done guest spots and appearances on Disney or Nickelodeon.
spucy yea,its not that bad anymore
spucy
That's the reason they do Dance Moms: So they can become famous and then they start getting paid gigs like children's TV shows and Music Videos. The actual Dance Moms reality show still doesnot pay them.
Mike: Hey Yi, you see Miley Cyrus Bowling Ball?
Yi: What do you mean?
Mike: She made a song where she's naked and called it Bowling Ball
Yi: Yeah, I'm not gonna be seen with you anymore
It is very applaudable that you criticize this new-born craziness in a clear way.I think this is the best video that you have ever recorded.
This 5 year old Kpop thing reminds me of the sick show, "Toddlers and Tiaras."
totally love listening to you guys talk! Pls keep up the work :)
This is like beauty pageants, mixed with Dance Moms, Kids Bop, and mini Disney stars, sprinkled with the essence of To Catch a Predator.
Clearly you guys haven't heard of toddlers and tiaras - an American show about little girls in makeup performing and competing in beauty pageants. Child exploitation is international. Most of it is done by parents, behind closed doors. 5 year olds have no capacity for judging what's right or wrong. As infuriating as it is there's nothing that can be done really.
or dance mom's show
+Immabeabit Chandsayit sweet baby Jesus :
+Immabeabit Chandsayit that's so gross and sad. Like I don't look at young boys and be like mmm. ugh I would think of them as my own child. so sad
+marbletrouble yeah its just a sad fact that people of both genders can't control themselves and cause the suffering of others. This world doh.
I agree this is child exploitation but guys this is CPOP not KPOP let's lay the blame in the right place!
kpop train kids just as young. the average debut age is 14, Girls Generation at the time of debut all of them bar 1 was 18.
+kairinaminemix That's pretty sickening
I would agree that this story sound more like japan than korea lol
There are some JPOP bands that are under age. They are not 5, but are 10 years or older.
Well 10 years are still young, but huge difference between 5 and 10.
my daughter is 5 and she told me she wants to be a mermaid popstar when she is older
wow this is insane no words ..............................
Am I the only that's obsessed with the emoji pillows????????
You are not Alone xD
Makes me think of dance moms or pageant moms. In the Us but way more extreme
I met you guys at KCON last year!!! I was the girl at the crosswalk who freaked out when I realized who you were lol
This is a something that Agent Smith would report.
+Tago LMAO, I see what you did there. I think I'll hop over to his channel and see if he's covering it this week.
Exactly totally agree! That's why people should stop comparing Big Bang with One Direction or Justin Bieber with Henry Lau etc. It's not even comparable! And i really feel sorry for those kids. This is crazy. They should play with their friends, discover what they like, instead of doing idol training.
+So Duh Asian ARMY Jhopes cringe face is perfect for this
We still have the same profile picture LOL XD
I don't get it!! Why comparing one direction with BIGBANG have to do with the video???
Crazyy Unicorns Like they talked about it in this video. The training is totally different between Kpop idols and Western boybands. But Western media called Big Bang the One Direction of Korea. That's why I mentioned it.
AnimeIsLoveBTSIsLifeAndJHopeIsHope BiasWrecker Omg mindfck! I thought it was me and replied to the first comment. Until i saw the looooooong name. 😂😱
I think Toddlers and Tiaras is worse 'cause their parents are literally teaching them to twerk and dress in little bikinis. I feel like Mini Girls can be a good thing if they target children like Kids Bop.
I always got super creeped out when watching that especially when they had male judges.
Cheyanne Smith Yeah... it was just really creepy. The moms were lowkey neglecting the kids too like feeding them gallons of sugar so they would stay awake and preform.
Toddlers in Tiaras is disgusting. THAT is sexualizing children. I mean obviously not always but watching them in practically lingerie swinging their hips like no.
bravo. keep it up. I will always be your no1 fan.... you guys are inspiration to our generation
All I find troubling is that they're losing their childhood and they're missing out on education
I also don't like the idea of how they train idols as well. To me they seem sort of extreme. Having little kids to do this is just ridiculous when they could just spend their life having fun at this stage instead of focusing on a career.
+louisa yehp &apparently kpop idols get paid less than the people that're distributing them hence them doing promos.
+louisa unless they have a good company like bighit I mean jungkook is still getting his education
Bee Kookie ngl though, I still don't think it's as much as he needs.
louisa yea you're probably right bc he has been put back one year
Bee Kookie probably more after this comeback lol
Omg how can 4 and 5 year olds be more popular than me 😭😭😭
:(
Can't decide whether to thumbs up the video or down :((
This is so sad
I agree with you absolutely! The people who encourage this abusive method should be put in jail.
God,we beg you to bless+protect these children...but help and their parents' minds...Business will be whatever kind of business for ever.Anyway, families're totally resposible for their kids' good&safety.
If this is allowed in China, why is 爸爸去哪儿cancelled? That's only like a reality show for celebrities and their kids
OMG I SCREAMED WHEN BTS POPPED UP YASS.
+Orange Jams Jimin SAAMMEEE!!! HI ARMY THERE~
+dee marooncrescent Hi fellow ARMY 😋
im hereeee
yeaaaaa!!!
So many ARMYs whoaaa I'm smiling 😝😝
Ayyy I love your Pats shirt(and that BTS picture😂)
although I do not agree with what the parents of these girls are letting them endure at such a young age, I repeat I DO NOT CONDONE THIS. what is the difference between a child idol and a child actor?
I guess the dancing and possibly, possibly singing.
But their both children, so....
Journey STAR what I'm really wondering is which field of entertainment has a higher level of exploitation.
As if they aren't children anymore -_- Like bruh I'm 15 and I don't put on that much make up >_
New subscriber !!!! Love your show
+Cleo Tsang Thanks cleo!
this isnt that new, this is almost the same as kids doing acrobatics at a very small age, it already happens in china in a different form
+Jaimy Wu but acrobatics at least is not sexualising and objectifying! this is pandering pedophilia. How could you even start to defend this???
im not defending this, im just saying this isn't new
they do this in america too, those little pageants where little girls wear little bikinis, theyre acting as if this has never existed, it has, just in different forms
i feel like no child should be put to work and being capitalized by a company that wants nothing more than the money they make. children literally change their mind every second what they wanna e what they grow up, what their hobbies like, what their favorite show is. 5 year olds are in kindergarden! just imagine how long it took for those kids took the girls to even memorize the dance. it’s sick to take advantage of these girls and there’s pedophiles in entertainment man, you really gonna trust these little children with strange adults alone????
I'm against it but there's nothing really majorly sexual about
They tried this is in korea like 3 or 4 years ago and it didn't end well for them because people kept saying these are way to young for the kpop life because it is a rough life. This group will soon see the same end.
They just had to use that BTS pic hahahahaha
I Love that the example that they showed for K-pop was BTS XD. Btw great video guys! :-)
They're dancing to Sistar's Shake It and I am absolutely disgusted they are FIVE.
Your back!
they wore full make up already ..
Thanks for expressing your thoughts on this subject. I also agree that children as young as 5 don't know what they want and most of the decisions are made by their parents. BTW I'm a Kpop fan.
The USA has those creepy beauty pageants for 5 year olds. Both of this and that are equally appalling.
+Sauron yes those are fucked up too! and the parents who visit these pageants are often freaks.
This situation reminded me of Michael Jackson 😞
Can u guys do an information/critic video on the new chinese groups such as nice, sunshine, love wings and maybe SNH48
I dunno it does seem like something that little girls might enjoy doing.
Totally agree with your point of view guys ...
they are doing sistar's dances....thats too advanced for a 5 year old. those are adult dances U_U good on sistar, they are of age....not good on mini girls, who need to stay little girls.
+Chef Jasmine yeah im used to seeing grown people (aka sistar) doing these dances, yet China is talking toddlers and turning them into mini sistars
Follow up with my comment, It would be sad to know if the purpose of the video is anything else but raising people's awareness. :(
This is so wrong! poor girls
Maybe the people who look at these KIDS and see something sexual are the ones with problems.
money is the root of evil. always true.
The LOVE of money. It's not money itself that is the root of all evil.
+Wong Pei Yin Amen . And all money ani't good money.
What about child actors? Mary-kate and Ashley Olson put into making TV shows from birth. I never hear anyone complain about children in movies and TV shows and taking away their childhoods.
Don't take me the wrong way, I'm not saying this is ok. I'm saying you should also be against any type of child labor including movies and T.V. shows. Not just this.
leave your babys face clean 😨
+totolo right. i'm 4x their age and I don't even where make up
omg these two have like so many channels...the great wall, double chen, double chen news...
Exactly. Way too sexy way too soon.
If were in Brazil, this would be the great moment seasonal, as I have not the Brazilian culture, I have none courage of make this with a daughter! Thank you for uploading this for us to see and be careful. Success!
