I must say, it was good of Dom to let us have such a good look at his Sandy Bottom. The natural reddish hue of the sand lends all those beautiful shots of the three cars an exotic look.
Hi Del - Haha, Dom's very generous like that!!! 🤣🤣But seriously Sandy Bottom is an RC paradise especially if you accept there is going to be a big cleaning job at the end! Agreed, the red sand looks cool on camera! All the best! 🤗👍
Thanks Dom! Yeah there was actually tons of footage in the end and I had to cut most of it, loads left for other videos! Thanks for making this with us mate, it was a pleasure! 🙏🤗👍

As expected. Fantastic driving out there. For the most part. Well You had fun. THAT is the main thing... LMAO always great seeing these cars out there flying around and floppy around in the sand throwing dirt everywhere. Enjoyed it Mark. Thumbs up of course
That's really kind of you to say, Nick! Hehe, yeah most of the driving was OK, but you should see the outtakes! We sure had a blast driving these classic Tamiyas in the soft sand and it was awesome to meet up again. Glad you enjoyed it and appreciate every thumb's up! Cheers! 😎👍
That was very entertaining. I think the very first Video I saw from you was the Bodywork of that Audi and it´s nice to see what the Chassis capable of. Recently I bought the Rally Beetle and the Golf Mk1 Group 2 and I start likeking this Type of Car. But as a German and VW Fan I first have to have the Golf Rally MX01 that comes out at the end of July over here. Hi there, glad you enjoyed it my friend! Thanks for sticking around and following the channel, much appreciated! Yes the Audi looks great on the TT02-S and it handles very nicely. I can understand your fondness of VW cars, I must admit I like them myself very much, too! The Golf Rally MX01 is a fine model indeed. Love that, John! The 3 Amigos suits us just fine! Some awesome Tamiya rally bodies here to play with and always a blast with the guys. I'm so pleased you enjoyed this one my friend, take care and all the best as always! 🙏😁👍
Thanks buddy! Well, you know we all love a bit of slomo! Makes the cars look like they're moving more naturally I think! Yeah, I've had this music file waiting just for a video like this! Cheers, mate! 🤗👍
Thank you John! Ah, yes I think you could be right - it's probably because my modified suspension gives the TT02 just a little more ground clearance than the other two! Cheers! 😎👍
Ahh yeah! Dudes- the rigs looked amazing- looked to run a treat over that sandy terrain. Nice to see you all having a blast together! Wish I could join in some day! Cheers
Many thanks, A!!! It would be awesome if you could join us, 4 rally cars together would be even cooler! I think you'd enjoy the sandy terrain, too. All the best, dude, Cheers! 😎👌👍
Hi Mark, the Rally cars look great running together. That location is awesome for off roading. Hopefully you guys can come back and do some more filming there 👍🏾
Hi Paul, yeah it's always better with a 2 or more cars running together, more to look at! We are planning a few more meet-ups this year so fingers crossed for some more "sand slinging" footage! Take care my friend - cheers! 😎👍
That's bloody AWESOME!!!!!!!!! Where's the drag race? Where's the the time battle? Where's the..... I don't care.... This is freaking classic running at it's best boys!!!!!! GFJ!!!!!!!
Many thanks Bob! Sounds like you enjoyed it!!!! Sorry, we just thrashed around in front of the camera, no time trials or drag races this time (Rob was having lots of gremlins with his Asterion/Subaru! You might notice it's not in so many shots.) Cheers, brother and ATB as always!
Thanks for the visit Dave! Yeah I liked those shots in that section, too. These Tamiya chassis are so much fun in the sand! All the best to you my friend! 😎🙏👍
Well, well.... what a treat!! The excitement levels peak when I see 3 of the top rc channels hook up for another collaboration, especially when it's some rally business! Only thing missing is Craig with his XV02. Am I the only one that starts laughing as soon as Rob appears? He doesn't even have to say anything, he's such a cheaky chappy! I still think the Audi is leagues ahead in looks though despite being the oldest by far, but guess thats just cos I'm old school! 🤣 Beautifully shot and edited, looked so realistic chucking up that sea of sand as they tore up and down..... wanted to grab my 959 and climb through my phone screen and come and join in! 🤣 😂 Right, I'm hitting rewind and going in again! ⏪ 👌 Cheers lads, absolutely epic! 👍 👍 👍 👍
What a wonderful comment, James! It's always awesome to meet up with the guys, Craig did try to make it but got caught up at work. Hope he can make it next time. Nah, Rob always makes me laugh and if you met Dom I know you'd think he was a cheeky chap, too! Well mate, my Audi chassis is very well specified and specially set up for rally, in fact it beat the XV01 in a timed race-off! The type-S is in a different league to the standard TT02 and has XV01 suspension. Gene Hunt would approve of your bias towards the Audi, and I'm with you too! Wish you could join us one day, all the best my good friend! 😎👍
@@MarkBryanRC Ah, shame Mr OAG couldn't make it, he fits in well with you guys! Yep, it's good to see Dom in the flesh when you all meet up..... obviously he's always off camera in his own videos. That rally spec tto2 of yours sounds quite the business mate, I was most impressed by the way it seemed to perform in the video.... it seemed to be out in front for most of it!! And that Audi body shell just takes me back to the eighties as a young lad watching the rallying with my old man, I can remember those quattros being an unstoppable force for a while! Don't think I could think of anything better than hooking up with all of you guys for a session..... shame there's such a large distance between us. But hey, never say never eh, maybe one day!! Hi there Craig and thanks for tuning in. It would have been even more fun if you could have made it over, fingers crossed for next time. 🤞I'm usually out front, hogging the camera, mate! 🤣👌👍
Hi Mark, another great video, love the rally bodies, I’m working on a 99 scooby at the moment and found your build series very helpful, I was wandering what tips or products you use between the body clips so you don’t get bad scratches round the body posts, thank mate, keep up the great work
Hi Chaz and many thanks for the comment, glad you found the build guides handy! Inside the body I usually stick dense foam around the body holes and on the outside you can make some clear "washers" from offcuts of the Lexan body. Works a treat! 😎👍
Nice one, Chris! Well it really was fun to make this one with the guys. Hope you've decided on the rally build, I know what you mean about having to wait until funds allow, though! All the best, buddy! 😎👍
The xv01 design allow a far smoother front shock travel and beat all the competition, allowing that oversteering needed to countersteer offroand and doing some amazing sharp curves onroad too. Also SAME SPRING and SAME MINI CVD SHOCK act differently on the xv01 compared to othet two, resulting softer and allowing far more grip on an unheven surface!
Hi Enrico and thanks for a nice description of how well the suspension on the XV01 works! I have to admit it's the best handling and most realistic handling chassis of the lot! 😎👌👍
@@MarkBryanRC thanks, another tip: if u want to get the same smooth front shock action u may use the carbon shovk tower, preferably the ali express one since the original set may cost u as much as a tt01e subaru. Just simply mout the shock as high as possible and adjudt them propertly and that is it
This was filmed at Hartlebury Common, near Kidderminster in the West Midlands, but we call it Sandy Bottom! This is because the Common has a higher and lower section, this obviously being the lower!
Yeah it's a great looking car for sure, I have one of those bodies to do myself! It's the Tamiya Subaru Impreza 2008 body kit and it comes complete with light buckets and the decals exactly as you see on the one in this video. The Tamiya part number is 1364. 👍👍
That's a proper Mark Bryan video, lots of rally fun and goodtimes! So great to see three cars in same shots at the same time, only made possible by your excellent collaborators, Rob and Dom! Really well made! No idea which of the chassis was best, but it sort of looked like you were in front?
Hi there Mads and thanks once again for the nice comments! Definitely good times were had by the 3 of us that day and we hope to do it all again soon. These collabs are a lot of fun and we usually spend more time chatting than filming! Of course the Type-S was the best chassis, but then I'm very biased!!! Cheers! 😁👍
Okay great you don't put any results into the video. As a Gene Hunt fan I would say the Quadro has to win. There's no alternative. Thechnical I'm with the VX01, but my heart still belongs to the TA-02. Great video.
Hi there Dirk! Well, we didn't actually race this time, more posing for the cameras, really! 🤣 Wow, so cool to know that you saw that show and are a fan of Gene Hunt, what a Legend!!! Agreed, "Fire up the Quattro"!!!! (I also have a soft spot for the TA01/2) Cheers my friend! 😎👌👍
Hi and thanks for the comment. Yep, that would be interesting, I've never even seen a 4-tec in person but the spec looks good. If I come across someone with one I'll ask for a race! 😎👍
Wow super cool shots you got of all the lovely cars. Always looks good to have 2 or 3 cars running together. Which one was the most full of sand at the end? Also, was there one in particular that handled best on sand? Anyway, great stuff mate. Hope all is well with you 😁👍
Hi Pete and many thanks for watching from your sick-bed! Hope you are feeling a little better. Oh, the video! - Yeah I always like filming a run with a few cars together, makes good viewing I think. I think the TT02s was the most inundated by sand! But because of my little tweaks to the suspension I think it rode the sands the best (but then it is my baby!!! 🤣) Take care, mate! 🤗🙏👍
@@1982james111 Cheers to you too! Yeah, we've done a lot of testing with various ESC's, motors and batteries. When it comes to basic stock brushed motors there is very little difference in performance between LiPo and NiMh. But when you go to low turn tuned motors and brushless motors, LiPo is much faster!

Cheers! 😁👍
Would love to race you guys some day 🎉🎉
That would be cool! You are always welcome, pal! 😎👊👍
sooo cool
Many thanks! Glad you enjoyed it! 😎👍
Wow, so cool to know that you saw that show and are a fan of Gene Hunt, what a Legend!!! Agreed, "Fire up the Quattro"!!!! (I also have a soft spot for the TA01/2) Cheers my friend! 😎👌👍
I wonder how a 4-tec would fare against these three. We don't get nearly enough Tamiya support in the US, but Traxxas is everywhere.
Hi and thanks for the comment. Yep, that would be interesting, I've never even seen a 4-tec in person but the spec looks good. If I come across someone with one I'll ask for a race! 😎👍
Lots of sand and three bottoms
Haha you got that right!!! 😜😅👍
What battery, esc and motor combo do you use?
Just the stock setup - NiMh battery, Tamiya TBLE02s ESC and Tamiya Torque Tuned motor.
@@MarkBryanRC cheers for reply, they look nippy for a NiMh 👌🏻
@@1982james111 Cheers to you too! Yeah, we've done a lot of testing with various ESC's, motors and batteries. When it comes to basic stock brushed motors there is very little difference in performance between LiPo and NiMh. But when you go to low turn tuned motors and brushless motors, LiPo is much faster!
@@MarkBryanRC yeah I think I'll be going down the lipo route as I like the punch they give to all my other RC cars, 2s obviously for these I take it.
@@1982james111 Yep, 2S in these James!
😎👍
Cheers, Chris! 🤗👌👍
