Finally someone telling his inseam and actually sitting on the bike reaching to the ground. Thanks Blancolirio . Going through your videos. Going to check out dealer to have a look at CB500X
What a difference the Rally Raid kit makes, it's as good as a KTM adventure at probably twice the price. I love my CB500X, but being a short ass, can't see myself doing this mod. It looks way better than that Strom. I thought the old guy was going to throw a leg over, he was tempted.
+IRISHROVER I was thinking about the same about the old guy but unfortunately he didn't. I won a CB500X in a national honda contest from the honda official dealer so I love my free cb500x hahahahha. Moved from a ninja 250r which is a great upgrade. Being 1.80 does help although it's not the same as it was with the ninja, I still feel a bit high in the sky and this is not very good for balance. I mean if I have a passenger and it's a hill and I need to stop and he/she moves weirdly ..well it's hard compared to the ninja, also ninja was 169kg this one is 195kg (XA version with the ABS in both tires). So it's easier to lose balance if you're not carefull compared to other bikes that weight 150-170kg, at 195kg and higher seat place it's harder but still all better overall. Now when I need to use emergency brakes I don't have to "think" how much pressure to put as I did with the ninja, there I had to press the back brake all the way and the front JUST enough before locking the wheel - With cb500x? ...press them BOTH fully!! with no worries(with the ninja I had to balance half the bike with my body because when locking the back wheel you lose control of the rear tyre so you use ur body to move it where you want it to be)
I love how simple and straight forward hondas are. Still I love the 675R and the Tiger 800 from Triumph... Apart from those, I probably will not buy anything but Hondas and Harleys
Had no idea you were a cyclist as well as pilot. Enjoying both you and Petter describing the workings of the aviation industry. Doing some tire kicking myself these days with a thorough study of adventure bike offerings. The new Yamaha 700, slow to make debut here in the US, has most of my attention but Honda is close on its heels. Thanks for the post, and safe travels.
+Tarmac Turtle what honda needs to do is to make a proper dirt bike, and think about short riders more, it's all in the design of the frame and engine configuration. they done ALMOST a good job the crf250l but they screw it up a bit on the weight and engine capacity, but i much prefer the CRF over the cb500f on offroad conditions, but that is me...i prefer lighter weight as possible
Im not sure why no one has put out a middle weight adventure bike with a lower seat height yet..There is a lot of guys out there just to short for these tall bikes.
Only just found this video, thanks for stating seat heights, rider heights and inseam measurements, this is so useful, going to look at a 2007 Kawasaki Versys tomorrow, i'm 5'7" with a 30" inseam, seat height on the Versys is 33.3", going by this vid i should manage ok if i'm careful.
I really want the Africa twin, but for half the cost between a used bike and the kit, the 500x is freaking awesome. Stage 3 for me, stage 1 for the wife.
Gorgeous bike! I like the Stroms, but I can't get over that beak in the front, lol. Just went out of my bikes a few years ago, I had a KLR650, WR250, and a Goldwing all insured at the same time so I could choose which one I wanted for the day, lol. Sold them all after one too many near misses with car drivers not paying attention. I'd be lying if I said I didn't miss them though... Really do like that 500 though, looks ready for anything! :)
It really makes you wonder... as you said the vstrom 650 has been a big seller for $4k extra. If honda made the 500x properly, it would cost them $2k extra to make the bike and sell it for $3k extra and it would sell like hotcakes.

Those wire spoke wheels looks awesome on that, but i probably would keep the original tires for mostly road travel.
I wish the basics of the rally raid kit were stock on the cbx. Buying new, the cbx costs more than the cbf and cbr, but it doesn't really do much better off-road, at least not enough to really justify the bigger price. I wish they'd given it the spoked wheels and sturdy tires as standard, as well as longer suspension travel. Then possibly tried to shave off some weight as well, and it would be a propper mini Africa Twin for people with lower budget and more civillian needs in terms of raw endurance performance. This stage 3 kit is really awesome, and completely changes the nature of the bike to the better! awesome vid yet again :)
I plan to do an around the world with this exact bike. I've been thinking of just sticking with the stock version maybe change the tyres but now seeing the stage 3 RR, I'm definitely going with that. Great video guys, thanks for the information. 👍
I'm a senior and would be considered a new rider. Only other bike I've owned was a new 1977 Suzuki 750, but only kept it about a year. I'm also an avid mountain hiker, but with all the hiking and climbing I've done, my knees were really talking to me during last year's hiking season. If I have to give up hiking, I'm thinking an ADV bike would be a good way for me to still experience at least some backcountry adventures. I have become really interested in the 2019 CB500X, along with the RR kit, because I would want something that would work for 50/50 riding. However, I am only 5' 5", with an inseam of 30 inches (31 inches with hiking boots), so you have an inch on me in both height and inseam. On top of that, I'm a light-weight; might top out at 130 soaking wet. Since you can barely get your toes on the ground, I'm guessing I couldn't even touch the ground. With the additional weight of three days of water and camping gear, that might bring the seat height down enough to where it was manageable, but I'm not really certain. On asphalt, seat height wouldn't be a real problem, but off-road, with all that gear, I'm thinking that not being able to get my feet solidly on the ground, even though I wouldn't be an aggressive rider, might be a bit dicey/dangerous, especially since I would almost always be riding solo. If/When you have time, I'd like your (or anyone's) opinion as to whether I should cross this bike off my list of possibilities. Unfortunately, there aren't a lot of other options for someone my size. BTW, thanks for taking the time to post all your videos. They have been very informative.
I saw Sierra Motorsports has a 2018 CB500X still for sale. I would be interested for sure but it might be tough to get the wheels from Rally Raid right now due to the pandemic. I noticed on their website they stated that they "REQUIRE BUILDING AND SENDING TO ITALY" and take 4-6 weeks. Might be 4-6 months now, I will have to contact them and see. I noticed the new 2019+ cb500X have the larger 19" wheel now but it is still a cast wheel that would be inferior to the rim and spoke Rally Raid.
Ya know what Honda ( or an INTELLIGENT third part company partnered with Honda) should do? Create a height ADJUSTABLE system of the suspension ( kinda like airbag suspension on cars and semi trucks) in which you could ensure it's lowered down ( which would be at least 3 inches lower than the stock suspension) and raise it up as high as 3 inches above stock AS you're going down the road with a tapping of an up button on a tiny remote mounted on the left handle bar area. Seriously..this would be VERY game changing for me. And make it to where it lowers from the max height to the lowest height in around 3 or 4 seconds. Also programmable to auto lower if the bike senses a hard sudden stop from more than 20 or 25mph. What do ya think? I call dibs on the idea. I'll accept a 5% royalty for the idea.
Another informative comparo, Juan. And good to know you are just up the hill from Sac-town. Always thought the 650 DL would make a strong, reliable, mid-weight ADV but hadn't seen a version compared to the CB500X. Think maybe the mid-weight ADV is making a presence vs big GS's?
Hi , Love watching your videos :D im getting a 2019 cb 500x in matt black colour but some people are saying the upkeep of matt paint is a nightmare and easily scratch able. What do you think about your bike's color ? Does it really have these disadvantages ? Thanks very much :)
Great seeing Jim Barber. Did a lot of old Husky trading with him. I bought a Royal Enfield Himalayan. I like the Honda cbx but cost of the set up might be a braw back?? P.S I still own my high school 1981 XL500S best all around trail bike.
@@blancolirio I just plan to do light off road, fire roads or trails, nothing too hard as I am 70 yr. and do not need to be bounced around, and when I do off road I take my time and enjoy the sights. But I do like the 19" front wheel for gravel roads & sand and the extra ground clearance of the 2019 will be putting protection on the bottom but will also put a center stand on for easy road side chain maintenance when on long trips.
They're interchangeable. It's the same frame same power plant. I feel like I will do a cbr front fairing...I like the look of it. Only thing I don't like about the 500x is the front. Other than that it's perfect.
I'm not very tall, but I have long legs (5' 9", 32-33" inseam), I feel like I could probably ride the stage 3 just fine. I've been riding dirt/dual sport bikes for a few years and am looking to get into some more adventure-type riding and I feel like the Rally Raid 500X might be what I'm after. I love Honda simplicity and reliability, I just wish they built a roughly 350-cc version, but I'm sure I could handle the 500.
Correct, the bike Honda should have made, but they don't because not everyone wants an adventure bike....however; if Honda offered it as an option where the dealer converted the bike for the extra $$$, then it would be a good seller for a mid weight ADV bike.
from 1:30 to 2:50. Hmm that's good to know ( 31.5 inch leg inseam here 5 foot 9 inch tall) Thanks for the vid. given the updated info I've read and been told about the now " there's only stage 1 and stage 2 and options to buy different parts from each stage" update from Rally Raid...I know I'll need to stay away from the stage 2 suspension upgrade option unless I don't mind being on the balls of my feet. I'm looking to buy the 2019 cb500x. I'll probably select the stage 2 spoked 19 inch front wheel, ..not sure what else yet. I'm I'll see how the I fit on the bike before deciding on further possible-height-altering upgrades.
Having owned (and sold) a V-Strom DL650 Adventure, this conversion looks really interesting. The V-Strom is too wide and heavy for serious dual sport riding - although I did ride the eastern (easy) half of the Trans-America Trail on it. A sweet, Honda 500cc twin would make a super-economical bike for adventure riding for most people. That is, most people who don't need a motocross bike.
+Randy Reek I just did the Utah portion of the TAT plus a few more technical trails and the little RRP CB500X worked perfect for that adventure. 3000 miles in 2 weeks of on and mostly off road riding and camping off the bike.
Hi blancolirio I really like your bike it looks amazing. May I ask where did you get those hand guards? I own a Honda CB500X my self and bought some carbon fiber universal rally hand guards but didn't fit.
Buy a bike that’s not designed for hardcore off roading, put a ton of money into it to make it off road capable or just buy a bike that’s capable from the start. This bike is for riders that want small displacement and the upright ergonomics of an ADV style bike. It’s great for dirt and gravel in its stock form. If I was going to seriously off road I’d just get the Tenere 700. If I really wanted a Honda and I wanted it off road ready, I’d go with an Africa Twin... which I have.
blancolirio I saw a video of a guy who did the MABDR on a Honda Super Cub. I’ve seen guys ride Harley Dynas like they are Moto GP bikes. You can accomplish any task with just about any motorcycle. That doesn’t mean that’s what it was designed to do. The 500x is a very capable motorcycle. I’m getting one for my son to learn on because it’s predictable power and it will fit his 6’3” height. However, I wouldn’t put him on a stock 500x and expect him to run the Dakar.
+lagaman11 Yes it would be nice. But If you was to add the cost up new it would cost, seeing the stock price is as of " 2015 CB500X STARTING AT $6,299*+ DESTINATION CHARGE: $320.00 " and when using the same parts, it would be close to $9,000.00 or more likely more, that's without ABS too. That is with weaker forks, then say a V-strom 650 with 43mm forks - verses 41mm used on the Cb500x, or the Versys 650 witch has as standard inverted forks that are even stronger ones then the Dl's. The DL650 used for comparison is a new different looking bike that cost more, there is an adventure package DL650 and it comes with hard cases & crash bars panyards like the one shown, but the fairings are different and so are the wheels. Let's not forget a big issue the 20+HP min maybe more for both the DL650 & versys 650 ? Note # Check advertized numbers and dyno for these. Then there is the extra weight to think about, because this kit adds a good amount of weight over the stock 430 Lbs CB500x with a 471cc motor. BTW in one of the videos the weights are shown for some parts like the new rims, not sure witch one ? ? ? It would be nice to have a certified weight of this kit as is, full of fluids, to clear this up, not just guessing numbers. Yes it would be nice at the current stock price, it just could not be that way from the factory, we have to be realistic, because the factory would have compromises in the parts used to be able to sell it's bikes, and it still would cost that or more ? Maybe.. People have already said in reviews, the bike is not that special in performance with it's dyno rating of 42+ Hp, then you must add the extra weight, they would most likely say it's underpowered, even more so like this, unless they only rode 250cc sized bikes. Something to think about ? Thats my 2 cents worth of thoughts, but it's nice to dream !
I looked for that, glad to find it's weight is lower than I thought. 450 is not the worst I've seen, in fact I have a Kaw en500ltd that is a little more, but does have a larger motor @ 498cc with a little more power, and It does just fine last time I rode it, it needs a new chain set ect, or it would be in use someplace ? I am sure others wanted that info other than me, being a specs nut, or just a nut. Thanks for the info. yl
Tip toe does not work for off road riding. Riders need to be able to plant a full foot on the ground. I've taught several women to ride dirt bikes. Bike height is a real problem for anyone less than 5'-6" or even 5'7". I'm 6'1". YZFXs fit me well.
No REAL shorties "out there" guys, lol. I'm 5'3". I ride a Versys lowered 1" with a link, so I'd be up for giving the Rally Raid CB a shot. And one of the seat manufacturers might make a lower seat (Seat Concepts?)
If they were coming from the factory like this at like $8k I'd buy one in a heartbeat. Right now I'm thinking about a KTM 690 Enduro R or an Africa Twin though.
This is a great alternative to the pricey ktm adventure. Hey I want your opinion. I currently own a 2001 XR650R that has been great but I'm looking to sell it then diversify a little. There are two bikes I have had my eye on this CB500X with rally raid and the KTM 690 Enduro. Could you give me a little insight on some of the pros and cons of each of the bikes?
If you were going to do rides in pipi valley or a multi day trip from hwy 4 in Arnold Ca through fire and logging roads would you take this or say a KTM 650 enduro? Also what is the total weight of this bike and can you throw it around (for lack of better words) like a 650 enduro or other dirt bike models? Thanks in advance...
Here check this out...ua-cam.com/video/y3zuQikmbfk/v-deo.html Sold my KTM 690 keeping the 500. For gnarly singletrack I keep a KTM 350 EXC-F, everything else including 4 days of fire roads around Arnold...the RRP CB500X Adventure.
Hi. Great video. I know this post is 6 years old already, but my question is how did the RR upgrade effect on road driving? What's it like at 80 mph on the freeway compared to stock? Thanks.
They now offer the Stage 1 and Stage 2. When Juan shot this video they had three stages. Rally Raid has a detailed video on YT showing a Raid 2 build. It’s very interesting!
+Gavin Stapleton That's a good point...the CB500F is a great naked bike version of this design. I would like to see one built up with Rally Raid level 1 suspension and Giant Loop Sisikiyou panniers...
@@intravelt5684 Your missing the point, the Tenere beats the CB500X in every way, it's not even a fair comparison. At the end of the day you still have a 47Hp bike that you had to dump alot of money into that Honda didn't produce to be a true adventure bike. And actually Yamaha has the highest reliability rating in Japanese bikes, Honda comes second.
@Baby Fireblade When you "Google" (the most reliable motorcycle brands) Market research shows Yamaha at the top 1st, Honda & Suzuki 2nd, Kawasaki 3rd, Victory 4th, Harley 5th, Triumph 6th, Ducati 7th, BMW 8th, Can Am 9th This is based off failure ratings in the first 4 yrs of ownership. motorcycleshippers.com/2018/10/motorcycle-reliability-study
@Baby Fireblade Jesus Christ your such a cry baby Honda fan boy!! I provided a link based on over 12,000 motorcycle owners from 2015-2020. YOU sir provided nothing, just your own opinion. And if you'd bother to even read the link I provided you'll see that Honda and Yamaha are within %1 of each other based on failure ratings. They both are top tier brands. I have nothing against Honda myself nor did I ever say anything bad about the brand, only that ACCORDING to consumer Reports, Yamaha has a slightly higher rating. Get over it. Loving a single brand is retarded, Japanese motorcycles in general have all ways been far more reliable than their competition period!! But take KTM for example, people love the brand, awsome dirt bike and adventure bikes, less reliability and more frequent valve adjustments, high maintenance cost. KTM isnt even in the top 9 for reliability but people but them. Higher compression, higher HP engines generally require more maintenance. "The candle that burns twice as bright, burns twice as fast"!! I'd rather have a new Tenere 700 over a KTM because to me reliability and less service is more to my liking.
@Baby Fireblade So let's get this right. When debating a topic, you've decided there's no need to explain your opinion by way of quoting actual researched facts and or proving the accuracy of your opinion with literature in the form of links as to debunk said statements? ("No evidence, no survey's needed"). That's the most ridiculous statement I've ever heard!! LMAO How does a product manufacturer know their product is doing well on the market? How does a person research buying a new tv or phone, a car or when buying a new house in a particular area? Market research!!!!!! And even after you say Honda is the best and everyone knows it. You claim to love Kawasaki all while your user name is Baby Fireblade, your avatar is a Honda CB500X and your page screen has a Repsol Honda racebike. Interesting world you live in. I believe I've said all there is to say about this. Cheers...Honda Fanboy Kid. 🤔🤔🤔😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣

What an amazing coincdence. I went from a DR650 to a CB500X!
Holy shit the RR kit makes the bike look fantastic! Why Honda isn't offering some similar kit themselves is beyond me.
Theyve since come closer, the 2019 model was redesigned, bigger front wheel, longer travel, more clearance

Great seeing Jim Barber. Did a lot of old Husky trading with him. I bought a Royal Enfield Himalayan. I like the Honda cbx but cost of the set up might be a braw back?? P.S I still own my high school 1981 XL500S best all around trail bike.
I'd like one of them, but my wife would throw a fit. (I like the Hondas too)
A Happy Husband is a Happy wife. Or its a spanking. Lols.
muy bonita creacion te felicito eres un maestro me encanta esta moto
What about the 2019 CB 500 X it comes with a 19" front wheel and longer suspension seat height 32.6" looks like a happy in between .
Still needs RRP suspension upgrade to go truly offroad.
That'll work!
I was worried im too short with 5'7" damn i need one. But still a 500F looks so amazing i just can't decide😭😭😭
They're interchangeable. It's the same frame same power plant. I feel like I will do a cbr front fairing...I like the look of it. Only thing I don't like about the 500x is the front. Other than that it's perfect.
Thanks for info, valuable
Hmm that's good to know ( 31.5 inch leg inseam here 5 foot 9 inch tall)
Thanks for the vid. given the updated info I've read and been told about the now " there's only stage 1 and stage 2 and options to buy different parts from each stage" update from Rally Raid...I know I'll need to stay away from the stage 2 suspension upgrade option unless I don't mind being on the balls of my feet.
I like that Barber dude.
+Chivas6 He's cool like old school...
I'd be the tall guy experiment for ya. I'm 6'7 320 pounds. nice bike bud. Really like the Adventure look better than the stocker.
+Kuyler Palmer Yea looks much more aggressive.
Rally Raid is working on some lower pegs that should help long legged riders soon.
What do people think about the level 1/1b upgrade for the CB 500X? Bit short in the leg for the level 3! Is it worth purchasing.
Hi blancolirio I really like your bike it looks amazing. May I ask where did you get those hand guards? I own a Honda CB500X my self and bought some carbon fiber universal rally hand guards but didn't fit.
+viktor gentner Original Barkbuster handguards, mount yokes upside down from the instructions.
If I really wanted a Honda and I wanted it off road ready, I’d go with an Africa Twin... which I have.
wrong, as usual....ua-cam.com/play/PL6SYmp3qb3uP6l_04-Q4yMtyswfCQEtXC.html
blancolirio I saw a video of a guy who did the MABDR on a Honda Super Cub.
Hey I'm short too... My knock around bike is an old CL 450... What about just throwing some Knobby tires on the stock version?
Great video! How much are the different kits and does the dealer install them or do we have to install them or find a mechanic? Thanks.
I looked up the kits they're fairly expensive but they're very nice.
Wish Honda would make an adventure version of this motocycle, staraight from the factory!
+lagaman11 Yes it would be nice. But If you was to add the cost up new it would cost, seeing the stock price is as of " 2015
CB500X STARTING AT $6,299*+ DESTINATION CHARGE: $320.00 " and when using the same parts, it would be close to $9,000.00 or more likely more, that's without ABS too.
+ylism I too would love to see a wet weight of this bike.
***** good question about the weight...here's your answer...ua-cam.com/video/HTUrCjWumHw/v-deo.html
Thanks for the info. yl
Are they good on the roads too? not only off road, for a daily basis like riding to job and more
Great on road!
@@blancolirio Any opinions on getting cb500x or versys 650? There are small differences but they are both adv
My wife has the CB500f and loves it. That is a great engine but they should have called it a 450.
Tip toe does not work for off road riding. Riders need to be able to plant a full foot on the ground.
I've taught several women to ride dirt bikes. Bike height is a real problem for anyone less than 5'-6" or even 5'7". I'm 6'1". YZFXs fit me well.
stand up! ;-)
No REAL shorties "out there" guys, lol. I'm 5'3". I ride a Versys lowered 1" with a link, so I'd be up for giving the Rally Raid CB a shot. And one of the seat manufacturers might make a lower seat (Seat Concepts?)
Why don't people put the model year.
If they were coming from the factory like this at like $8k I'd buy one in a heartbeat. Right now I'm thinking about a KTM 690 Enduro R or an Africa Twin though.
Honda will have a smaller adventure bike soon...meanwhile watch this...ua-cam.com/video/JaXIOL_lT40/v-deo.html
Sorry for my question...5 feet and 6”... it means less than 170cm...is it right ?? Thank you
Hola Juan buen video saludos
Could you put a heavier oil in the stock 500X to stiffen it up just a little?
This is a great alternative to the pricey ktm adventure. Hey I want your opinion. I currently own a 2001 XR650R that has been great but I'm looking to sell it then diversify a little. There are two bikes I have had my eye on this CB500X with rally raid and the KTM 690 Enduro. Could you give me a little insight on some of the pros and cons of each of the bikes?
+Landon Hillyard check out my 690 vids...ua-cam.com/video/0_N1LXlDDYc/v-deo.html
For the price of the big and upgrades; why wouldn't you buy an Africa Twin?
Did you ever confirm the RR kit will work on the RR?
+Ray Taber Yes! The RRP Stage 1 kit will work on the CBR500R.
Here check this out...ua-cam.com/video/y3zuQikmbfk/v-deo.html
Sold my KTM 690 keeping the 500.
For gnarly singletrack I keep a KTM 350 EXC-F, everything else including 4 days of fire roads around Arnold...the RRP CB500X Adventure.
Looking to just get it raised ..dont want to go off road..if I get the stage 2 conversion will it raise it?...im 6^4
Satyan Anand yep, about 2"
Hi. Great video. I know this post is 6 years old already, but my question is how did the RR upgrade effect on road driving? What's it like at 80 mph on the freeway compared to stock? Thanks.
Overall GREAT Improvement. Feels like a very expensive bike on the road now. Handles the twisties much better.
Are those XR600s in the background??!!!
Yep, haven't changed much over the years...
I could see throwing the kit on the F but not on the R.
+IRQ1Conflict you mean a scrambler F ...that would be cool
+ripmax333 No, I meant the CB500F. motorcycle.honda.ca/model/naked/cb500f
+ripmax333 Ooooo.... look what I found! motorcycle.honda.ca/model/adventure/africatwin
IRQ1Conflict
yes what i meant is the CB500F transformed into a scrambler with a kit like this one.
Ah. I see. Yeah, I think the 500F with the RR would be better than a stock scrambler. Apples/Oranges I suppose.
Does the milage counter still work? I thought it was calibrated for 17 inch wheels so it will not be correctly working on a 19 inch wheel.
off slightly
It's easy to do a calculation on the fly: 3.28463 / 1.5739, and formulate speed in base 8.
Sue is 5'4?! Wow
Linda motos, tenho uma aqui no Brasil.
Ok I clicked on the link and only see stage 1 and 2 any help would be appreciated I would like to know the total cost .
They now offer the Stage 1 and Stage 2. When Juan shot this video they had three stages. Rally Raid has a detailed video on YT showing a Raid 2 build. It’s very interesting!
is there a way to get the foot controls lil more forward on these bikes?
Wonder kid they make a low seat?
If honda built the bike like that, I'd buy one. I'm 6'3".
Any comment on hard cornering on the street? Thanks! BTW: 5'7", 30 here, too. ;)
Kevin Phillips much better with RR kit. TKC 80s stick like glue
Halfrica?
2:51 why sounds 'click' when he push down the suspension? or I miss heard?
how is the headlight power on the CB at night?
mike schlup great light! Good strong stator too for add on electronics.
blancolirio thanks.. I was concerned the one lite would be weak.. I think 2 led lights would help a lot..
That's the owner?
Where about are you?$4000 differance.I would rather stick to the stock.
I want to buy a Honda cb500x do they give a good deal at Sierra motors.
If they have one they want to move...
how much does the rally raid kit cost you?
Level1 about $1k, Level 3 (like I have) about $3k U.S.
wow nice and quick response! Thanks!!
Do you know the weight of your rally 500?
About 450lbs?
I want that yellow dirt bike
Does this company offer anything for the Kawasaki Versys 650? That would be interesting...
No, not yet
What riding pants are you wearing in this video?
+tnnsman7 Klime 'Mohave' pants-stay cool and well protected. Here's a video on my riding gear...ua-cam.com/video/YwEmo6fbIkU/v-deo.html
Wouldn't go to hard in the dirt is only dirt tracker not made for belting of road.
try this...:-) ua-cam.com/video/S7jpOMaGnps/v-deo.html
Does Rally Raid make a beak eliminator?
Haa! not yet...but sawzall does ...lol
+Gavin Stapleton That's a good point...the CB500F is a great naked bike version of this design. I would like to see one built up with Rally Raid level 1 suspension and Giant Loop Sisikiyou panniers...
Is the weight with gas and ready to go really 487 lbs?
more like 450 lbs.
I had read 487 in a few places. I wonder if there is an official number somewhere? Really interesting to know.
Could you add a lower seat?
Yes, a custom job.
I like the almost Square Engine in the 500cc Honda. I'm sorry, but I believe it adds up to a very expensive bike.
Cf the 2019?
After the cost & install of the stage 3 kit you could have bought a Tenere.
Syncronizemysynthesis but you wont get that Honda relibility of buletproof engine
@Baby Fireblade When you "Google" (the most reliable motorcycle brands) Market research shows Yamaha at the top 1st, Honda & Suzuki 2nd, Kawasaki 3rd, Victory 4th, Harley 5th, Triumph 6th, Ducati 7th, BMW 8th, Can Am 9th
This is based off failure ratings in the first 4 yrs of ownership.
motorcycleshippers.com/2018/10/motorcycle-reliability-study
ocd kicked in hondas are parked infront of the suzuki and ktm signs and the suzukis are infront of the honda sign damn annoying.
Robert Garden yea! I wanted a cleaner backdrop, but that's where they dropped off the X.....I ain't no slick production team that's fer sure....
