My good friend bought one of these the other day , I took it for a test ride . I'll admit it's pretty impressive . I actually own a Honda Scooter and a Harley , but may someday consider one of these
But for 2013, the suspension of the Spyder roadster is improved for increased road to tire contact, it has now an all new brembo brakes and anew model called the ST
@JBX077 no way. It lessens the maneuverablility of both. You have less protection than a car and less lee way than a bike. and if this falls on top of you...bad thing. A bike..not so bad unless it's a touring or a huge Harley. And it would guzzle gas more than a bike. And why would you not have to worry about wet roads? every rider does who is logical.
No, not a squid. All gear, all the time. Just making a point that MANY overlook when they are buying one of these trikes. I have run into many riders that have one of these and are curently trying to sell them. I mean they are cool for what they are ... comfy, great sound system, lots of storage ... but it's not a motorcycle. ...so what's the deal with name calling, sounds like you might have a complex or something. It's not hurting me, but makes you look like "that guy" on the forum. FYI.
He didn't mention anything about the problem of them bursting into flames. When they admit that problem & fix it I might get one. I'd rather have a 3 wheel Harley or a sidecar when I get to old to keep it up on 2 wheels
If you decide to go 3 wheels, might as well be 4, ...and IF you think you are kinda'-sorta' getting into the "world of motorcycling", you'd be wrong. Just don't try to ride with two wheeled riders, ...if you do, better get ready to get stuck in traffic and wave goodbye to the two wheelers that are still moving through traffic. A 3rd wheel rider should probably consider finding a 3-wheeler riding group to ride with, so he/she doesn't get left behind.

Not a bad option for those who may not be too comfortable riding a 2 wheeled motorcycle for whatever (injuries, age, balance issues, etc.).
So sick of the ads for this fucking thing, i'm running the next one I see off the road.

How is the fuel mileage on this?
I have a disability.. and because of depth perception issues, so id need something a bit lower then a car.. jm seriously considering a spyder
Do you counter steer it like a bike?
No
A place for a Garmin GPS... only? No TomTom?
this is great I am not a speed demon and have no balance so there is no way I could ride a normal bike
powngoblin
If u ever get a chance to test ride one of these , I think you'd feel quite safe and impressed .
I have no sense of balance either and this is a good and fun ride! Bought one a yar ago and have no regrets!
