Flymedic, we're trying to find our lane and sweet spot, but we're getting there. Ultimately, we hope the audience will trust us to pick interesting topics and the right guests to talk about them. -- Ken
Back in the day, right after Gary bought Twin T's from Larry Snyder and changed the name to GYCB, he started selling to japan from Page. This was 1986. A few years later, after travelling to Japan several times, he struck a deal with Tiemco to manufacture baits for them in Japan as Japan ONLY GYCB baits. So, in some cases, GYCB baits were not only made in Page, but also in Japan by Tiemco.
I think it’s the same topic really. The topic being baits. Here we’re talking about new baits, other videos we talk about knockoff baits. Anything about baits including history, way to fish them, etc is pretty fun.
Ken I really enjoy the podcast you guys are getting out every week. They are all great and continue to be interesting with your pushing curiosity of the guests knowledge! Keep doing great guys!!!
This pod is always enjoyable after having to listen to Terry basically talk down to us for the entirety of the first episode. Bass geeks all have our own niche I suppose... Thanks for bringing some interesting guys on week after week.
@@TerryBattisti1 couldn't make the laughing emoji from my TV interface 🤣 completely joking I just listened on a bit of a 14 road trip and was laughing alongside the guests. I suppose it didn't translate well. Anyway, best pod for the price 😁 keep up the good work
@@KenDukeBass very droll Ken - and appreciated :). I suppose I just took my bassin education less seriously than some, and meow my ego pays the price haha! Great pod. Pretty much my favorite by now thanks for the hard work and deep info
Thank you gentlemen for a great show and I really enjoyed the guest and there feedback,Thank Nathan Ken and good luck Brian with your surgery my friend ❤🙏
I remember vaguely that Guy Eaker had a blade attachment he endorsed that was pre chatter bait but I think is was square? Seems like it was called a shaker and I thought Eagle Claw made it for a short time but it never caught on?
I've been doing BFS since before it was called that. Compact baitcaster, 20lb braid or 8lb fluorocarbon depending on situation, 6 im8 medium rod that I've had for years. A very important tool in my bag
Krej vs Riser Riser has 2 sizes. Metal lip. Very durable with sticky sharp hooks and can be used 4 different ways from topwater to underwater walking (like a hellraiser), backglide and senko type shimmy fall. It can be vertical jigged in a way. Casts like a dream. Jackall colors basic but unreal
Great topic as always gentlemen. BTC is correct the rocket shad is a great bait, particularly in the fall when bait is smaller. If he and I are the only ones who know it fine, as long as strike king keeps making it. Rapala knows how to market but the crush city baits don't move the needle for me. I'd rather they keep making the jabberjaw instead of killing it. Bty I definitely still use crankbaits and DO NOT have FFS. I'm not anti-scoping, just not in my budget
Kind of have to say I wish I hadn't seen all this. It isn't like I don't already have enough tackle. If I keep going, I'm gonna slnk my boat. I always tell people if I never buy another lure I will never run out. Can you say, I need a bigger boat.
Personally I had had issues with Omnia fishing ! Bad customer service ! Issues getting baits on time or not getting baits and then blaming the post office knowing full well they screwed the order up !
Sorry to hear you had a bad experience, Paul. In my experience with the Omnia folks, they've been extremely professional, knowledgeable, and insightful. I hope you'll give them another chance. -- Ken
@@KenDukeBass It took 6 weeks, but I finally got my 4 packs of 1/8 oz jigs . According to FedEx they never sent it . Omnia must have found it because they used the same shipping number and sent it again. I ordered them for a trip . Since they messed up I wanted them to next day air them asap ! They said no but they would ship again , but it I got the original order to send them back to them lol… I said forget it give me my money back ! Most reputable fishing retailers make it right even though they have to eat some cost to keep your business. Not them ! But somehow it showed up today from 12/23/23 lol…. and a spunk shad is a knock off of the OSP dolive stick lol. It's all a cycle there is very few original baits out there and the ones that are get very little recognition and most of the time its not any of these big companies producing any of the innovative or original stuff. Then the big companies see it and then reverse engineer the product like berkley did with the Grow design Flag170 to make the Nessie.
Ken you have got a home run with this show. After watching two shows it was an easy sell to hit the subscribe button.
Hands down one the best fishing podcast I watch. Keep up the great work and topics.

Enjoyed this show. Much better than the drama topics IMO.
Hey now, the drama topics are fun, too. We want to deliver a good mix! Bear with us, Greg. We're still refining the show. -- Ken

It was the Eaker Shaker, and it added vibration to any lure you put it in front of. -- Ken

I luv the freeloader as a chatterbait trailer
Great job tonight, as always. See you sat Ken

I love right in port deposit he's right fishing on the Susquehanna is awesome
It took me a full second to translate ‘Drut’ LOL ! - however don’t be surprised if Iaconelli turns this into the number one lure for 2024!
Kevin, it could happen! -- Ken
Living on the Susquehanna flats some of us actually love those spiders and other like it for the snakeheads
I'm still pissed Jackall stopped selling the AYU color dd squirrel 79sp. It's a helluva fish catcher

japan never been to the moon but they never lied about landing on the moon like we did either 😂😂..
What happened to " pork o baits" the pork baits were about 8 inch long. Worm style baits. Unmatched in water action
Yep. Know what ya mean
Where do I get me some of them Rapala Circle Jerks?! 😂
More of Jacob, enjoyed what he had to say

WHAT, no Berkley Finisher!!!
I guess not, Paul. -- Ken
Per Todd Castledine, the gravel dog is not a knock-off. It’s a 1.5 body with a series 4 bill. Not rocket science.
Just a suggestion but you guys should interact a little with the chat.
Otherwise, it's just another podcast .

I just went through all of my 1930s and 40s Heddon catalogs and ther is nothing that even remotely looks like a chatterbait.
There’s an article on bassmaster. That we discovered post show.
Freeloader = spunk shad lmfao it’s a dead ass ringer, everything is a knockoff but at least try to make it seem like your own thing
