If you got a fishbrain, join the POLE BENDERZ group 🎣 -love you bye
Let's hope PETA doesn't see this shit...
Made cameras, men get out of the boat in order to catch 20+ lbs of bass. Hmm, that doesn't sound FISHY at all.
This was the best fishing show ever if you did not learn anything quit fishing
👍👍👀👀👀🔥🔥🔥🔥
What in the hell is a Crayfish?!
If these hlguys are the best bass fishermen in the world why do they need all this technology? Guys have been catching bass without it for decades. Just because there is a new technology doesnt mean it has to be used. You dont have to keep up with technology, you stay with the tradition of fishing and the spirit of fishing. Seeing every fish, telling the size, seeing your bait and how the fiah interacts with it is too far and is not real fishing. We do not need to know everything a fish does, if you want to do that go fiah out of an aquarium or play a video game. Fishing is about the unknown and crafting your skills over years and years of trial and error and time on tha water learning techniques and the behavior of fish. Not staring at a screen and dangling a lure inches from their face, quite often chasing a fish around and pestering it until it strikes out of anger. It gives the bass no safe place to live and is unethical from a sports perspective and the health of fiah and fisheries. FFS is a joke and disgrace to the history of fishing. These guys always act like FFS doesn't help you catch more fish or catch fish you normally wouldnt catch. If thats the case why do they spend 10s of thousands of dollars on it and fight so hard to keep it from being banned? By the time the data comes out about the impact it will be too late. Its easy to see its horrible for the sport and fans hate it.
People who advocate for FFS always use the excuse that old guys just dont like it because they cant learn how to use it. Its not that at all, its they dont want to learn to use it because they dont like the idea of it and it goes against the spirit of fishing.
I think y'all forgot Timmy was on the podcast
Never! Timmy's just quieter than Ike or Steven. Plus, the guests know it's up to them to participate in the conversation. They know going in that we want a conversation rather than a conventional interview.
FFS is a disgrace
With all due respect Ken i think the idea that they shouldnt ban FFS because it will make the fans feel better than the pros. I just dont see that as being true at all. Those type of people who think they are better than the pros whether they actually are or not will always feel that way regardless of FFS. From the thousands upon thousands of comments ive seen and people I've talked to, the large majority do not like the use of FFS. It is a disgrace in my opinion and goes against the spirit of fishing. It allows people with far less experience and time on the water to keep up or beat seasoned pros and thats not right. I also believe it will be very detrimental the the bass population and all other species being targeted by using it. By the time the studies come out proving this it will sadly be too late, and a lot of fisheries will be ruined. It doesnt give the bass a fair chance and they now have nowhere to hide and be safe from anglers. I think its unethical.
FFS will absolutely destroy bass fishing as well as crappie fishing and many other species.
This isn't related but him saying he could tell everyone to go home reminds me of grandpa. He's a cattleman. I was told by a person he buys against that one day he walked into the diner before the sale and told everyone to go home, that he was buying everything that day. Sure enough, he bought every single animal for sale that day. I like old stories like these
Watching Ole Reese get a win this year was awesome! Especially after FFS just dominating tournaments. Great show guys!
I love Bass Fishing! I have been Bass Fishing for 56 of my 60 years on earth! I enjoy watching the elite tournaments. Bass, Mlf and NPFL . All the tournaments could go away tomorrow and it would have zero effect on me lol…. I love everything about fishing for that Bass ! Making my own tackle , modifying tackle , organizing my boat , preparing tackle for the body of water I’m fishing , basically every time I go fishing it’s my own personal tournament lol….I probably fish as much as Pro’s Do ! My biggest pet peeve is how totally incompetent the organizations that spray and put the death pellets into the water !!! I understand that Hydrilla has to be managed, but those idiots don’t even survey a body of water properly! I have seen many times when a goofball is out there spraying and dropping pellets on a body of water that doesn’t have a blade of grass in it ! Just doing it because it’s on a schedule lol… That’s my rant lol…..

Great shows every week don’t stop!!
Thank you, Warren! Please tell your fishing friends.
Jerkmaster telling us, “It’s coming. It’s coming.” What a way to end the bad comments. Sam absolutely killed it 😂😂😂. Always a fun listen whether live or later on. Keep up the hard work fellas & keep the bulls happy Jacob
I appreciate the compliment Anthony. I've gone back and watched episodes from before I had started watching every week and your comments are just next level. Hope the baby and your family are well Happy Holidays Anthony
Ben is a fake fisherman
Fishing boat wake banks/water is legit
If Ken had any more shrinkage, he would turn inside out!
Getting kinda skinny too. I'm afraid if he doesn't start eating he is gonna fall through his ass hole and hang himself....
Ouch!
Ken, I luv you & the show❣️👏 I was just trying to make a funny bad comment 😊
@@Landhammer_fishing Landhammer, my "Ouch!" was also applause for your comment! Well done, sir!
Randy is 100% correct on this topic
👍👍👀👀🔥🔥🔥
Ken, you are conflating recreational fishing data with the sport of tournament bass fishing
No, Chuck, I'm not. I'm not talking about tournament fishing at all or referencing any tournament data. Just talking recreational fishing, though I will point out that more than 99% of all anglers in this country are recreational anglers and not tournament anglers, so if I were to conflate recreational fishing and tournament fishing, it would not significantly impact the numbers. Furthermore, for all but a very, very few anglers, tournament angling is recreational angling.
No argument from me that tournament angling is a very small part of overall fishing. But you are on a tournament bass fishing show talking about "our sport" (your words) and referencing high school & college tournaments. How many tour level anglers are there today vs 1985, how many circuits, how many tournaments held? How much media coverage of tournament bass fishing today vs. 1985? Respectfully, this is how I would measure "our sport".@@KenDukeBass
@@chuckfish1855 Chuck, first of all, I'm disappointed that you called BAD a "tournament bass fishing show." Although we certainly talk about tournaments occasionally (and maybe too much), we do not want our show to be so narrow. The sport I love (and I actually don't think it's a "sport" by my personal definition of the word) is way bigger than tournament fishing. I want our show to reflect that. If we are only attracting a tournament audience, we are failing. Second, although I mentioned high school and college programs in my monologue, I never mentioned high school or college tournaments (though those clubs are little more than excuses to fish tournaments, unfortunately). Third, the number of "tour level" anglers today has not changed as much as you think since 1985. That was an interesting year. BASS had vanquished most of the competitors they had in the 1970s, and Operation Bass had not pivoted into FLW (as it would a decade later). But our sport was bigger then because we had more participants, made and sold more boats and motors, more anglers called themselves "bass anglers." etc. Finally, as for media coverage of tournaments, that peaked in the 1980s and '90s, when there were lots of newspapers covering the sport. There is definitely NOT more tournament coverage today because the leagues do 99% of the coverage. The independent outlets (podcasts, websites, radio, etc.) reach a tiny fraction of the audience that newspapers reached late in the last century. Plus, I'd argue that most of the digital tournament coverage by outside outlets (other than the leagues) is pot stirring and gossip.
The Top Ten tonight is my new favorite.
Very glad you liked it, Ronnie. It's a labor of love ... and sometimes blood, sweat, and tears.
Great show fellas!🏆🎣
Thank you, Allan.
Shout out to Sam Axe for the consistency on Bad Comments
Absolutely!
Thanks Sean... I thought bass fishing was my favorite addiction but it may have changed to make Ken and Brian laugh.
@@samaxe3489 Sam, if you were as good at bass fishing as you are at making us laugh, you'd be in the Classic every year.
Live comments are fun, but for those of us with wives in California it’s too early. Supporting the show an hour after…
Fantastic job on this one guys! Looking forward to the gizzard shad episode!
Just bought the crawdad book!
Awesome Show!!!
How bout a flippin, pitchin, punchin video
Already on our length list of shows to do. That will take multiple shows.
@KenDukeBass lol I'll be tuned in watching for it. Yalls show is great. Interesting stuff time and time again.
mud bugs good eating is what ther called
great info
The best crawfish juice
Awesome show! Ya'll have to do one on gizzard shad!!!
Already on the list ... among many others.
So im gathering. I need to fush a 3inch and under brown craw with a tad of green and black bands. Gotcha. I can now get rid of boxes and boxes of lures. Lol.
Happy to be of service.
Awesome show fellas! I think your right Ken, he needs to send a bill to the lure companies or they should send him free craw colored lures for life🏆🎣
Mark shops on TEMU.
Great show! I'm looking forward to replaying this very informative episode. Thank you very much!
Outstanding top 10!
Thank you, Rick.
What a great show. I'll be replaying this one again!
Great show, wish there was a little more about the actual fishing side of catching with lures trying to imitate, but still awesome info. Ken, i got the chills from your monologue because I feel like year round texas rigs catch. And you talking about the history of it gave me a time warp to long long before my time.
Thank you, Tim. As for more fishing info re the crayfish stuff, that's where I thought the conversation would take us, but Gary and Mike were so enthralled to hear from Dr. Loughman that BTC and I didn't want to steer the show back to advice that might not align with the science we were learning.
Was J-MO busy taking the WaWa hoagie lady out to dinner? This certainly the most interesting show yet. Great panel on top of it. I bet Gary has pet crawfish that he talks to like a cactus in a bathroom
Very glad you enjoyed it, Anthony!
5 smart guys talking for over 2 hours about a little bug 😂 amazing
And a lot of fun, too!
Great show guys, Lots of good info !!👍👍
Glad you enjoyed it, Rick.
👍👍👀👀🔥🔥🔥🔥
26:01 Time stamping my spot. Strange fact that might come up later in this video, but hasn’t yet. Did you know that the UK has invasive American Crawfish overtaking the habitats of their smaller native species after being introduced intentionally by the Brits. They are actually massive crawfish. Not sure what species or where they came from. But they are taking over across the big salty pond
Is the big bass podcast no longer a thing?
We’re hoping to get going again soon.
@KenDuke-vp9ws thanks God, as a state record chaser it's my favorite show and I've watched all of them 2-6 times each
Great show but Skeets audio was so bad i gave up.
