  • During my first trimester, I had excruciating pelvic cramping and pain that was way worse than my normal endometriosis flare-ups. The pain would travel across my lower belly with a slight tugging feeling on my lower right side. The pain lasted between week 1-6 and eventually left. I documented that portion of my pregnancy journey while living with endometriosis here: • BECOMING PREGNANT WITH...
I become worried that my endometriosis will cause pregnancy complications down the line.
Now, I find myself in the second trimester in my 26th week, and the excruciating cramping has returned. I couldn't sleep, and being close to my third trimester made it difficult to find a comfortable position. My endometriosis symptoms have come and gone throughout this pregnancy - but when they arrive, they are worse than my normal endometriosis flare-ups outside of pregnancy.
In this video, I talk about that pain, as well as where my mind has been lately heading into my third trimester of pregnancy while dealing with chronic pain and endometriosis.

Thank you so much for sharing this part of your journey. I’m 36 weeks and my endo pain coupled with other pregnancy pains and symptoms have been almost unbearable the past few weeks. Everyone I have spoken to about my endo pain coming back with a vengeance has dismissed me, as if it’s not possible to experience endo symptoms during pregnancy. You are the first person I have found sharing your experience of endo symptoms during pregnancy and I am so grateful for the validation and just to know I am not going crazy. I’m sorry you experienced so much pain throughout your pregnancy, but I hope it’s proven worth it in the end. ❤

I’m so sorry to hear that your pain has been present in your final trimester. I’m thinking of you. Just remember how incredibly strong you are - your little one is so lucky to have you as their momma!

Currently hitting my 26 week of pregnancy living with endometriosis. I also have a retroverted uterus. I know baby is growing but it’s been causing extreme back pain from time to time. It’s hard to sleep and at times walk around. I sit at a desk for work, this doesn’t help. My doctors keep saying everything is fine and healthy but that the overall issues are probably causing the severe pain. I’ve been researching all morning because I feel so miserable not being able to work. I just want to thank you and beyond for sharing your journey and making me hate parts of this experience less. I get so worried but you’ve given me some peace. Truly grateful!

Thank you for sharing. Your story is the complete opposite of what my gyn told me…she said pregnancy sometimes decreases endo pain and women sometimes feel relief of endo during pregnancy

Most of the information says symptoms subside during pregnancy, so to hear that sometimes this isn’t the case is PIVOTOL. Thanks for sharing and congrats on your pregnancy in this video.

Hi there! Hang in there Mom. I feel for you. Though my endo pain didnt start until a year after i gave birth to my only kid, which was 10 years ago. So for 10 years now every month i suffer from terrible endo pain for an average of 10 days each month...most time its excruciating but guess what i never went to a doctor .i just do what i can do and hoping ill hang in there until i menopaused..(but i might see a doctor soon ...maybe..cause it can get really painful) by the way...i have to ask you...cause i first discovered ur channel when i watched ur video about leg pain which i also have...then i realized in this video that you aee actually pregnant and having endo flare? Its just that i really thought pregnancy and menopause will put endometriosis at rest. So im assuming since ur pregnant u should not have endo flare? Im not an expert though..just a patient too..but im kind of worried about u. Have u checked with ur doctor about this?

Thanks so much for your reply! I hope that you receive answers to your pain and that a doctor supports you in finding methods of pain management that work for your body. Yes, that is a common myth that pregnancy cure / subsides endometriosis pain. Some individuals have less pain while some experience more during pregnancy when it comes to endo unfortunately. I'm documenting my process with it - but it's definitely made my flares worse (personally). My doctor has been absolutely wonderful and knows the ins and outs. Hope you're well!

@@endoemmm oh i see..this is really news to me. My endo pain always comes during my period and several days more after that.. kind of scheduled every month but since im 44 i experienced a month without a period probably early sign or premenopausal symptom..so during the time that i had no period no ..no endo flare as well. And i have known for a long time that my pain is caused by the hormones governing the menstrual phase. Anyway, i can imagine ur pain and i'm sorry u have to go through with it during pregnancy.. By the way i also had a very eventful pregnancy..from 6th month to delivery i suffered from painful UTI which was common according to my doctor at that time for pregnant women. A very painful UTI really can mimic an endo flare as far as my experience is concerned...because as i have told you ive been suffering endo pain every month for the last 10 years...but for the first 5 years i thought it was chronic or recurrent UTI..i ddi went to a doctors clinic around the fifth year because i was scared i might, suffer, sepsis because i really though it is bacterial infection..but it turned out i had no bacteria at all... anyway...i think i over shared ..just i can relate so much with you..in fact just yesterday was the last day of my flare up for this month...so my pain-free days started today..it will last for about 2 weeks (until next menstruation).
I really pray that you'll hang in there until little angel of yours arrive. She's really worth al the pain. Mine is now 11 year old and until now i will never trade pain-free days/years for her. I'm willling to go through 10 year more. My baby girl really brings me so much happiness its really hard to explain. Hang in there Mommy..You can do it. And thank you so much for sharing your pain. It makes mine a little less. Thank you.

Did you managed to get pregnant with endometriosis? Every time I did it, I still feel pain too. Don’t seem to conceive. Have you tried visanne?
