    Great One Bjarnie!
    Cedars are some of the strangest trees and by what I've been told some of the oldest among the Conifers.
    Stay Safe my friend.

    My DaD was the greatest tree man that I have known, may he rest in peace. Bjarne, I can say you are a fine forester or logger, not sure what your title is, however, that I have seen on UA-cam.
    If our president here in the United States would help the foresters, loggers, and, arborists, to be able to clean out the deadwood, our forests would be beautiful again. It makes a great difference, in the United States, there would be no more forest fires. I miss my father greatly, it was awesome to watch you. You did a great job taking down some huge trees. Your job is a very dangerous job, yet a necessary one. Some of these people are not well informed, they don't understand, that this needs to be done. That lumber was used for many things after you cut that lumber down. I really just don't understand, it is better to use this wood than, it would be to use plastic or some other chemicals that they make for real wood products. I don't wanna get on a tangent here, it was amazing watching you, I miss my DaD that's for sure. I love the sound of a chainsaw, I love the smell of the wood, and leather, left on the boots when the man comes home from a hard day's work well done. Glad My Husband Tom found you, he has a degree in Forestry, his nickname is tree.

    Awesome video as per usual Bjarne. I have a question. How long do you on average run a saw before it becomes clapped out. Do you ever rebuild them or just replace. Thanks

    • @BjarneButler
      @BjarneButler  2 роки тому +5

      I’m down to 2 390, 2 572 and 1 372. I don’t keep track of days on a saw and I rotate saws randomly throughout the year so don’t really know how long they last. I’d guesstimate about a year max, worth of run time before the main bearings go. I used to rebuild but now I don’t bother and just buy a new saw. Also it looks more professional having a newer looking saw compared to showing up to camp with old bear up looking saws even if they run great.

    • @MrHuntermikey
      @MrHuntermikey 2 роки тому +1

      Thanks Bjarne. That makes sense to have a good rotation of saws in your profession for sure. Also your comment about new equipment at a job site is pretty understandable
