I bought one a year ago, I have mobility issues, but am able to get exercise with the confidence that I can throttle my way home. It's a fantastic bike and because I pedal for exercise and not for speed, the stated range on economy is pretty close. Overall I'd buy one again.
So glad to see you reviewing ebikes! I've been watching your rc videos for a long time. Ebikes are my latest addiction. Cyrusher is a very good brand. This is a great starter ebike for anyone. Looking forward to more videos. You should check out the New Wired Freedom that is coming out. I just ordered one.
Thanks!! I didn't know what to expect with this bike, but I actually ride it a ton. It's nice to leave from my house (I live on a really steep hill so a regular bike would be tough to get home on).
I live in Virginia (USA), where there are beautiful trails. In 2023, I purchased the Ovia and put on 4,047 miles or 6,501 kilometers, and for someone who turned 80 in June 2024, that is good, if I say so myself. In November 2024, I purchased the Kommoda 2.0 and finally tried this bike out. The bottom line is that I love the Ovia more. I only wish that I bought a second Ovia, which was even cheaper.
Purchased a Kommoda step through, as it was hard getting my stiff hips over my Cyrusher XF800 saddle, plus my short legs made it hard to touch the ground with the XF800 tall but trail friendly crank set. The Kommoda has less nice, more squirrely feel, but at least I can get on it. The power meter is rubbish…at around 40% power left, it is really more like 20% and at 41volts it cuts off. You can’t adjust that either, unlike the XF800 where you could run the batts down to 38v in a limited range emergency. Like all these types of robust Cyrusher frames..it is heavy, you won’t be lifting it over a gate! And without power it is a pig. If you are unfit and overweight don’t expect to peddle much over a mile on the flat without power! On the plus side it is well built, the brake light is great for safety and the rear rack can take a good sized cargo or bike bag for you cycle lock! The price is very competitive as e-bikes go, in UK at about the time of this video, mine cost £1400 (Say 1500 bucks).
haha! oh gosh, since i moved, the RC room is a cramped office and not super exciting. BUT.. i do have a trip to the Traxxas warehouse in TX happening this month. Priority Tire is sponsoring a RC video so I actually have a production budget this time! :) Can't wait to share more soon!!
Thank you for the video. my steam is 29 inch, the e-bike moped I would like to buy is 31 inch but I want to be safe and stable, I like this e-bike too but the moped has a long and large saddle and I like to change position when I drive, I will like advices.
Very helpful video, I have not made the leap to an ebike yet probably because I spend a good chunk on RC stuff….I do appreciate your honest review of this bike.
I love my Kommoda. I'm 64, 6 foot 1 inch, and I ride a lot on dirt roads through German parks. The bike is my retirement fun, gets me outside and in the sun...Also inner city shorter rides. My few complaints are that the handlebars are too low, and the pedals hit the ground on sharp turns. The light isn't optimal at night. When the battery is under 30% it degrades fast. Other than those things, as I said I love the bike. And in my city, e-bikes are the thing to steal, so I spent 100 bucks on a lock that can still be cut with a metal saw.😣 So I have my eye on the bike at all times and park it IN my apartment. I avoid cops here in Germany because they are unsure if it is street-legal. I Got stopped once but because German models have a thumb throttle, not a handlebar grip throttle, the cop saw my bike didn't have a "normal" Throttle so he assumed I could only pedal it, so he let me pass. PS, the biggest fans of this E-bike are little boys, whose eyes go wide when I ride by and I often hear"Hey Mom, look at that!" --a superbike in their mind.
Is your Kommoda 2.0 or the previous model? I have the 2.0, though it sits in the garage, waiting for me to take my first ride. The comments were that the original Kommoda had the difficulties you described and so in the newer version, this area was raised. Of course, I don't know since, as I said, I haven't tried it out. I live in Virginia, USA, and we don't have problems with the police. We also have many trails. One trail near me is 184 miles long...not once do you cross a street! The trail is part of asphalt and hard-pressed gravel. Just beautiful. 2023, I purchased the Ovia and put on 4,047 miles in 18 months. The only problem I had was three flat tires.
@@GeorgeAlexa Yes I have the older original Kommoda with the thumb throttle. I also had a flat tire at about 800KM.Even with all the faults I enjoy the bike.
Hiya hun. I enjoyed this thanks👍 I live in the UK and would like this bike our weather is very much like yours but for the life of me i cant find any videos where this bike is not shown performing in rain, deep puddles or snow or even mud as we call it,wet dirt i think you call it? I think this is important to the buyer who needs to commute. Is this something you can perform. Ive subscribed in the hope you may take up this challenge. Thankyou
Is it street-legal especially in big cities? I saw that it can be tagged so I'm assuming that it is and the blinkers. A lot cheaper than taking a cab or driving in traffic.
I believe so (at least where I live), but in Europe I think they sell them with a limit on the top speed to comply with local laws (though there's a way to unlock that - just UA-cam search lol).
Hey yes still riding it! It needs a brake bleed (got air in the line probably while moving) so I'm looking up how to do it (I think cyrusher sells a kit). But otherwise it's going strong. It's just heavy so it's hard to transport places. But riding around town, it's perfect

People are getting way to lazy. Get out and peddle hard and eat some dirt.😊

Thanks for your thorough review. That bike checks a lot of boxes, especially if you add cargo space and a second battery. Michael
Great video! Appreciate you creating it! TY
Ebike probably brought me here but also in rc so cool subbed!
Cool vid...I like that you mountain bike ride.
Great Narration! You live in a super Cool Area!

Hello. How are you feelin g about this bike now? You still riding it? Considering it.
