Release of the year for me. Superman has been so badly served in collected editions, especially this era, to not only get so many of these issues collected for the first time but in an omnibus is amazing! I hope we get more to go along with this.
I hope this sold like crazy. This is my Superman Era from when I was a kid and can't wait to read this again. DC needs to fill in the gaps with more omnis!
I’m about 300 pages in and this is without a doubt my favorite Omni. Character and story wise, is awesome; a good combo of drama, action and some silliness sprinkled here and there. I was mind blown by the art; some of the best I’ve seen. Definitely recommend this one for any comic fan.

Not a fan of the design under the dust jacket, there could have used that Superman two page spread as the art on board, would have looked amazing. Either that or the Man of Steel issue one, that’s one of my favourite covers of this era.
Super great overview Omar !!! Very excited for this Superman Omnibus release of the Triangle Era of Superman stories. Picking up my copy in October. Hope if this sells well their will be a Volume 2 collecting the post Death and Return of Superman stories from 95-99.
Here’s hoping for a vol 2 because this is the best era of Superman that I grew up with. And most people dont realize that the Triangle Era really begins with Man of Steel mini series from 86, because the books continued the same narrative but the triangle didnt officially appear until 1990. It continued until 2001ish when the last of the creative teams departed the books and the triangle was replaced with a yellow (and sometimes silver) diamond in the form of the familiar Superman symbol. By the the quality had taken a nosedive
The art in this book looks really good. A lot better than most of the omnis I'm currently reading. (I need to get away from the obscure 70s stuff..) If I had more shelf space, or more of a connection to Superman, I'd probably get it.
This gives me hope that we may get a losh/l* omni and a bat sign omni. The triangle years, especially after death and return was the the time that i would pick up all 5 superman titles and the writers worked together and built the stories up, unlike today comics that are unreadable and multiple event driven with multiple covers
Can't wait for this. Hopefully we get the gap between exile and this as an omni too. But what do we call it if it happens, triangle prelude? Dark knight over metropolis & other stories? Exile aftermath? Hopefully we get that. I wonder if DC are going to count the death of as volume 3 and continue beyond or if we get 2 and done
@@NichoMania2 There is a lot of good stuff to cover the gap. Also Hank Henshaw origin, Blaze story with Perry White and Jimmy Olsen plus couple of Curt Swan fill ins, Toyman etc.

John Brynes MOS, closing the gap between Exile and this Omni. Vol. 2., etc.. It's a shame we BARELY have any Superman omnibuses but hopefully DC is hard at work printing years ahead. As for the "Death & Return" or vol. 3 of "The Triangle era" DC will never miss an opportunity to not reprint that storyline lol. Expect a vol. 3 just for the purpose of them giving more people an opportunity that missed out on the 4th printing of Death & return" and to have a more consistent cover collection. I don't think it'll hurt DC to release that and a vol. 4 in the same year considering Death & Return is already printed. So I think.
