    Your channel is severely underrated. I absolutely love how you bring the known history of the points you make in your videos! Keep up the good work, and if you are ever in Central Texas, hit me up.

      Thank you! If I’m ever down there, I’ll have to do that!

    My favorite point style and material! Absolutely killer. I’ve only been able to get my hands on four tiny pieces of KRF.

    Thanks for doing these for us. Please keep them coming. I love the way that you tell us about the ole boys and the animals that they hunted.

    I would love to watch you make a big clovis point out of the translucent flint river coastal plains chert. I love your programs.

      I’d love to do that too, I just need a lot more practice fluting before I do it on video. I’d need to get my hands on some flint river too. Thank you!

      I couldn't agree more! This young man is very advanced for his age. He blows away many of these old timers on UA-cam.

    I've been pondering the temporal, geographic, and especially design, of agate basin points in relationship to Hasketts. Not sure what to make of it yet, but they certainly seem related.

    Another cool and informative video. What holds the copper point? Where can I get those, if you can share. The handle I guess

    • @pathwaysofthepast
      @pathwaysofthepast  2 роки тому

      Hi Herb Hunter, the copper is held into the handle by a small screw. They are made by a lot of flintknapping goods suppliers. I’d try Flintknappingtools.com or Kentucky Flintworks

    Was obsidian used by the agate basin people? I think I recall reading about an obsidian example sourced from the Yellowstone area.

    I would just go to basspro and pick up a pack of broadheads. They get the job done no flintknapping required.

    It is to bad you do not have a e-mail I found the largest Levallois Point in the world so far , in northeast Ohio 27 inch by 20 inch 2-1/2 inch thick I could have shown you a true Paleo artifact ! You guys can put your clovis away there is a new king on the block
    AND ITS A PRE-CLOVIS PITFALL POINT ! LOL

    Why do I think you are good at this flintknapping due to a former life?

    Fake arrowheads

    • @jimajello1028
      @jimajello1028 2 роки тому +4

      This is a reconstructive educational video that is intended to pass on & preserve the history, Archeological record & organic use of tools to make stone tools. Please understand that this man's intent is not to make a fake arrowhead. Besides that this biface /stone tool was most likely a knife or projectile point. Please research your subject matter before you make mindless gerbal comments based on infintile stupidities.

    You think the Paleo man asked for permission?
