Well seeing as how most of the people in the videos were WHITE he is not saying a damn thing about race...it's about a behavior. If YOU equate black people with that behavior YOU are the racist. Pay closer attention. Dad was dead on on this, he saw the truth! Dr King was and is the way. Aldean is talking about CRIMINALS plain and simple.
Question. If I come in your neighborhood and start rioting, robbing, setting shit on fire, are you just gonna sit back and watch? Or are you going to try and stop me and any others attempting to do that shit? Probably the latter. He is saying that if try that in a "small town," you're, (not you personally) but instigators in general, that you're gonna fuck around and find out. Where you're inviting him to your town, he's going to respect your town and not start rioting or causing problems. You're trying to make it about race, when it's about respecting other people's property and homes.
As a black man from a small town in Georgia, I DONT hear anything racist.. I live in the city now and tell my friends all the time that them country boys ain't with the bs.. and this song talks about jus that!
Thanks for setting them straight!! Plenty of small town black guys around here in this town of 974 people that I'd say are very similar to yourself and I. Thank you!!
Amen to that. These two have a preconceived bias in their opinions. They see the courthouse and say that's where black men were lynched. Do they think anyone but them is thinking that? I don't get their mind set. They're looking for racism with a magnifying glass and still can't make a case.
All he is saying is that small towns aren't going to put up with riots of any kind no matter the cause behind it, nor stealing cars (we protect our elderly) or stores, the community will come together and stop you...
@@swilli3476So why have these small towns haven't came together to stop white supremacy and the slaughter of blacks for 400 years , this nation is going to hell and you fake patriots are living in a delusion , u will be destroyed along with Amerikkk and it's nothing nobody can do.
our youth have been groomed for anger and violence thru our radical left educational system and politicians have done nothing to undo this attack on america and our values and now it's in front of us to deal with or our country as a constitutional republic will soon collapse.
Dude was told that the song was racist and he didn’t even have the ability to analyze the song itself and form his own opinion. He just doubled down on what his buddies told him. Epitome of society these days. The song is not racist. It basically says don’t do dumb stuff like carjack people and hurt innocent people.
I paused at 4:00 min in and all I keep thinking is "come on dad listen to the meaning and tell your son what's really being said". Pushing play and hoping for the best
Let me start by saying, I hate this song! Well, I shouldn't say I hate it, I just think it's a very poor representation of country music. There's no real Rhythm to it, it's way too political. It's just not what country music is about. That being said, This ain't about black or white. If you feel personally offended by this song, then odds are you feel like you have the right to tear s*** up. And at it from a racist angle even though the majority of riders are antifa which are upper middle class white kids. But aside from that, if you're an African-American person, and you look at this and become offended it is one because you feel like you have a right to Riot and tear s*** up and two you must think you have that right because of the color of your skin. It really is crazy how mainstream media and the left the majority of the left not only cosine this type of behavior from our black communities, but they actually encourage it. You hear Democrats threaten people with this type of violence. And I've always felt like this was a dance for me situation. I am happy to hear the older man talk about how this is not about race. He understands, and I think the other man does to, that this is about destruction of property. This is about disrespecting a lot of hard work that a lot of people put in to make something of themselves. And that goes for blacks and whites alike, there are a lot of black business owners in these big cities that lose everything because it is garbage. I just wish that the left and mainstream media wouldn't encourage this type of behavior from the black community. They realize that the majority of these riots happen in Black areas' lot of black owned businesses like I mentioned before, but they don't care about that they care about the ratings they're going to get on the 6:00 news and how they're going to amp up young people to go vote as if they actually intend to do something about what people think was the reason all this happened in the first place. Here in the South, it is so much different than in big cities. I don't expect a young man that's been raised in the city to understand this song. See in the south it's such a vast expanse of area that police are not able to get to a call majority, average time, 20 to 30 minutes before a police officer will arrive at a lot of these properties. Because one they're usually a sheriff's office and two they probably got 20 people working there, so that means there's probably five on call at the moment. People in the South are just used to handling their business themselves. If we see someone beating up someone else, we don't turn our head and just ignore it, we handle it ourselves. This goes a lot deeper, but I'm just going to leave it at that. I feel like the young man has so many external pressures about stuff like this that is soon as someone told him about it, he immediately considered it to be racist. Whereas the older black gentleman has been around the block a few times, just like he said, I didn't expect it to be what it is. Get a little bit of age in your beard, and you will start to see people will change when it comes to destruction of property in things of that nature. When you work really hard for something and then somebody comes along and destroys it and there's no way that you're going to be able to get that back, it really changes your outlook on the world.
@@rickclark5641 Yep notice the White guy in the black hoodie . It wasn't so much black folks destroying stores in their own community as it was White Liberals. The one group of people that Malcolm X himself said was the most dangerous thing to the Black community.
I love when he says, “I’m not being biased,” when they both are clearly biased. Quit letting people tell you what to think. He’s talking about criminals, not a specific shade of criminal. Skin color doesn’t matter, actions do.
The song talks about doing stupid stuff in any small town. The fact that Jason speaks of car jacking, robbing a liquor store and other things, and young blood automatically says he's talking about black people, this is alarming. I'm black and you come in my town with stupid behavior, you get same response.
There might be thought between lot of shit and the things he's talking about young black happen to be in the news..when shit hit the fan after the whole black lives matter caused so much destruction... but it was for all races there were white people doing it too

This is a great example of how ignorance breeds ignorance. "I heard this song was racist, so therefore I have to think this song is racist". If you think protecting your community and taking care of others is racist, well that says a lot more about YOU and your lack of character, than it does anything else.
You go and open a store let people steal and see what you think ,he is not talking about black people he is talking about behavior you call it racist because that is what you practice. You May have torn down the statues of yesterday injustice but you have not torn them from your heart the racist is you 6:29
As a person living in a small town, I can honestly tell you that people really don't care what color skin you have. People are judged solely on their actions. Basically this song is conveying the attitudes of small town communities. We do not care about your race, religion or origins, you are either a good person or a bad person period. The news clips that are shown in this video represent the type of behavior that would not be tolerated in a small town. We come together no matter what.
@whambam21 Racists everywhere . It's gone be some bad ones. It's places in Bama that white folks can't go and blacks can't go. Bad piece of shit towns every where but this song ain't about that 1 or few. Visited one small town and sayen that 😂
The town where I'm from, them mofo's racist AF! There was no sense of community. There was no sense of togetherness. There was no sense of camaraderie, unless you were white! The amount of times I was called a ni**e* is ridiculous. Even in school, this boy in my grade threatened to hang me! No lie. My mother is white and my father is black. I'm very light skinned for a bipoc, and I still got harassed. I'm 43 now, and I gotta tell ya, not too too much has changed.
I Live in a rural area and have for over 30 years (pop 850) No one gives a shit what color you skin is...everyone minds there own business and leads there own life. Everyone will step up in an emergency and come together then go back to living there life when over. We have pulled people out of ditches, and kept them safe in a storms and rebuilt bridges that made it possible for people to return home. Glad you have visited in a rural area but I live in one and you are full of it. I have been taking my neighbor who is black to the grocery every week for over a year (grocery is 45 min away) Their family car is being rebuilt by another neighbor as they can afford to buy parts. I love how your Dad looks at you like you're a fool for not thinking for yourself and only listening to those that tell you this is racist. He is simply saying don't bring no mess, there won't be no mess.
Your dad is an intelligent person. This song is not racist. You have a lot of growing up to do. There are more white people in the video. Do they still have sun down towns
Sorry but the dad is just not straight up saying it like the kid is. Dad could just say what almost every other review of this song says....The song isn't racist.
He was talking about criminals! Not once did he say black people. Looters, rioters and protesters who cross the line-don’t come to our small towns. We fight back-is what he is saying!
Facts, thank you. There are plenty of caucasians in this video, look into the crowds of people. Jason wasn’t cherry picking, he was talking to all criminals and wanna be’s. And, a reminder that small towns also include people of color that are prepared and will unite against said criminals to protect their families, property, neighbors, churches, etc. Unlike what is happening in some major cities in this country where these criminals are wreaking havoc with no consequences under this administration. Son needs to wake up or he might just end up involved in a messy situation that his friends convinced him was a good idea. He needs to do some research and educate himself. I have faith that he will open his eyes and ears to the message of this song. The song is not about him or black people unless he/or they are engaging in criminal behavior. It’s all people, no matter the color. Equal Opportunity” consequences when you bring trouble to our small towns. This song was a hit not because it was racist, it was hit because people are tired of this b.s in our country and support the message.
The son was salivating before and during the reaction. He was betting his dad would agree with him, but dad is much wiser. Sadly, they both saw things that weren’t there though. The son started out by saying Jason is a racist. Boy, you have a lot to learn about people and families taking care of their community.
His son is dumb as shit... And doesn't even know the Artist or never even listened to him thinks racist...his son is racist and I would be embarrassed to be in this video if that was my son...
I bet you do But he’s a child who needs more adults in his comments to motivate him to form his own opinion not judge him bc someone told him it’s racist. He saw things that were there based off someone feeding him the “he’s racist” comment. His father spoke in a way to make his son think. The video is clearly not racist. But there are things that could easily be misconstrued to be seen as “racist”
@@DominiqueAyyo It was/is a teachable moment and the dad can choose how he wants to educate his son based on this videos content. It would have been nice if the father knew to tell his son that black people were not the only ones to be lynched. Whites were also lynched for crimes, including trying to help save blacks from slavery. Black Lives Matter includes white people committing crimes during the “protests” which turned into violent riots. The video also showed a white woman and a hispanic woman. That was never pointed out to the kid and could have sparked a discussion. The message is that you commit a crime like this in a small town, and you won’t get away with it - because we all look out for each other. Funny how one person decided to say this was a racist video and so many went wild and ran with it, including Josh, ignorant of the facts. I truly hope he posts a part 2 after he has an epiphany.
I've watched probably 2 hours of people reacting to this song - every single one by black people- and so far this is the only one that had someone who said it was racist. But even this guy was unable to tell us one single reason why he felt it was racist. He just knows that the media told him it was racist so he said it was racist. Sad that people can be influenced so much by others instead of thinking for themselves. The dad, on the other hand, was absolutely beautiful in his observations, opinions, and explanations. Just perfect.
@@brendahipsher273 should follow his father then. With all his faults (which every father has) it is still wiser for a young buck to listen to an actual adult.
@@brendahipsher273...exactly right..this courthouse was only 20 miles from Jason's home..It was not intended for any kinda race...People please make up your mind for yourself & not what the bs intended to disparage one another...The small towns ain't about letting any color come to their town to cause violence to be there..We "have each other's backs" is all
When are you Hispanics going to wake up!! You have no idea of the history of living next to a small town that did not allow Black people there after dark. I was born back then when we had a town like that, and there are still many like that today though they are more sneaky about it then back in the day My father is white and he would tell you, you cannot cross that town after the sun goes down and what he’s saying in that song is pretty much that.
This really shows a difference in generations. One is understanding, respecting and humble. Meanwhile the other is narrow minded and assuming it's offensive while he is on his phone during the video.
This is about the most un-racist song. It's about unity, helping, anti-crime, and caring for your neighbors, whatever their background. It's really sad if someone sees crime and thinks they are talking about black people.
I’ve been watching at least one or two of these reactions every day for two weeks. This is the first one where someone called it racist. The young man in this video really set it up poorly and has a lot to learn. Anyone who sees racism on this video is themselves a racist.
Good music makes you talk, you see it through the filter of your life experience and here it shows. The elder gentleman has seen more, including TRUE RACIST, and shows it. The younger one shows he is more inexperienced and walked into the song with the thought it was racist, didn't know ANY FACTS, AND HE JUST WANTS TO WRATCHET
IT IS RACIST!! Especially coming from Jason Aldean who is nothing but a coward because remember he ran off the stage when the shooting began in Las Vegas, he didn’t tell people get down or show them where to go. He ran off the stage and never came back so he has some nerve to act like he’s all brave, secondly why didn’t they show the January 6 riot. Hmmm 🤔
This is a perfect example of the difference between the generations. This young man had his mind made up, before ever hearing the song, that it was racist. Probably because a group of friends or social media told him that. The other gentleman is a lot more collected and is actually paying attentiin to the video and the lyrics. He's looking at it objectively and that normally comes with age and life experience.
Not gonna say much, other than the fact that he came into this video with a misconception already.. someone told him wrong and he went with it bc he already wanted to see racism. “If you’re looking for racism specifically, you’re gonna find it.” -Officer Brandon Tatum
You put it so well. That’s the problem. All of these young kids are inundated with negative opinions and false realities from all sides. It’s impossible to objectively view anything when your mind is already made up.
This kid (Josh) said Jason Aldean was a racist before and after the reaction video. He also said Jason referred to BLM in the video. Where? Hope this channel gets taken down or everyone removes their subscription. 🤮👎🏼
Well if the media says it it must be true right!? They never lie........ This song is not racist. Protestesting peacefully is different than the rioting they showed. Jason doesn't stand for the rioting or being disrespectful. I noticed he didn't reply or like anyones comments since everyone is saying it's not racist. Everyone should be against those things. Maybe he needs to react to all the other black people reactions and see that none of them find it racist.
This is a perfect example of someone having an opinion because that's the opinion the media told them to have. No sort of thinking for himself. Just being told how to feel and going along with it because thats the easiest route.
This is an example of a young man who is brainwashed by social media who says it’s a racist song when in reality it’s not even close. So now he believes it’s racist before he even hears it
100% buddy is listening to the song with the idea that it's all about black people. Even though dad told him there's more white people doing dumb shit in the video than black. Young man didn't even hear that from his dad, in one ear out the other. He's dead set on this being a song about black folks.
WOW THIS DAD AND SON DUEL,THOUGHT POPS WAS GOING TO SCHOOL HIS SON!!! ALLS JASON IS TALKING ABOUT IS THE CRIMINALS,HITTING WOMAN IN THE FACE,JACKING A CAR FROM AND OLD LADY,SMASH AND GRABS AT STORES,SO IF YOUR MOM.Y,SISTER OR G-MA HAD THAT DONE TO THEM,YOU'D BE COOL WITH THAT,YOU ALL NEED TO GO BACK TO SCHOOL,OR YOU ARE SOME OF THESE PEOPLE DOING THESE UNSPEAKABLE CRIMES,IF SO -KEEP IT IN YOUR TOWN!! SORRY I GAVE A VIEW FROM ME,NEVER AGAIN THOUGH!!!!
Explain realistically how it is?! He NEVER even mentions race! If you say it's racist, that's because you THINK racist! You must be imagining that he's talking about a certain race! Heck, even most of the thugs were white! His "running mate" even says the majority of negative acts were being done by whites! Freaking Limousine Liberals! Candace named them right. That guy wanted so badly to say it was racist, that nothing he said, even made any realistic sense! Bandwagoner!
As a Mayor of a very small town in Illinois that just experienced a tornado, this song isn't about race. It's about how folks come together when things get rough. You are both welcome in my town anytime! Only reason you would think this song is about race is based on the stereotypes that the media and Hollywood has made out of certain communities. And the fact that you formed your own opinion before even hearing the song says that you believe what you hear before researching things on your own. Dad even mentions "my people" and I'm sorry to say in my eyes there are only people. And yes I am a white male, but I would never consider all white people my people. My people are the people I surround myself with and that's white, black, Hispanic, and any other race world wide. America has come a long way, and still a long way to go, so not until people realize we are all in this together the divide will continue and grow. We currently have a government with help from the media that is only throwing gasoline on that flame. I wish you both the best and hope you do know not all white people are racist. History has taught us that the easiest people to control are the most vulnerable. The strong prey on the weak. The Romans, Egyptians, Chinese, Native Americans, you name it. At one time or another pretty much every country in the world has been built on the blood and sweat of others through force and manipulation of their own people. Good luck with your channel but I recommend you keep an open mind before calling something out as something it might not possibly be, otherwise I don't think your channel will be around very long.
No they think it's about race because of the blm clips they used. If they wanted to convey a different message then they should've been more straightforward or used different footage. They're being racist and you're all just trying to cover it up like they intended
That is an excuse for ignorance, ignorant people. Illinois is not the same as the highly racist states down south. They used all BLM protests to the point he had to remove the content he used without permission to spew hate in disguised. If you don’t see the underlying message in this song, then I’m sorry for you!
Mr. Mayor (kind of doubt but ok), I grew up in a small town. Racine, Wis. which as you would know is very close to the Illinois border. 7min South of Racine is another small town. Kenosha. Allow me to correct you. The reason why some think it's about race is because THERE IS A RACIAL ISSUE in America. What ends up happening is that because it occurs so much it tends to feel like it's all the time. If you listen closely to what I said, I initially thought it was racial until I listened and didn't necessarily see it the same but I CAN see how MANY could, though I didn't fully agree. Now, in Kenosha,Wis you would remember that Kyle Rittenhouse, a white male, (who is now referred to as an 'Unrest VICTIM'), He shot 3 people and killed 2 at the age of 17 after having his mom drive him to Kenosha though he lived in Antioch, Illinois, while armed with an AR-15! He came because Jacob Blake, a black man, was shot 7 times by officers. Wis. Governor Tony Evers said...""While we do not have all of the details yet, what we know for certain is that he is not the first black man or person to have been shot or injured or mercilessly killed at the hands of individuals in law enforcement in our state or our country." Lieutenant Governor Mandela Barnes said the shooting was not an accident, and "This wasn't bad police work. This felt like some sort of vendetta taken out on a member of our community." On the anniversary of the shooting Barnes released a statement condemning how "systemic racism continues to ravage communities of color". Right Wing media turned KR into a hero. Matt Gaetz offered KR an internship 2 days before the verdict in his case came back and of course he was found 'not guilty' on ALL charges. He met with Trump (who went to Kenosha but didn't meet with Blake) and went on a publicity tour and even had 2 video games created to fund his so-called defense. I'm not sure what city you are the mayor of and would love to know but I used 'my people' in a general sense because when Law Enforcement shows up they don't care what I identify with they see me and 'my people' the same. I hope you had much to say concerning this case in your state. History does indeed show that the so-called strong prey on the weak but THAT is the problem. Maybe if the so-called strong helped instead of preying we all might get to a better place.
@@reecej71im gonna reply to this comment bc it’s the only place I found you in the comments but.. Try that in a small town is no different than saying try that in my hood. The song is about taking care of those you care about and in small towns we care about everybody - unlike the cold, soulless cities.
As someone who grew up in a small town Jason is telling the truth. We dont care what your skin color is. If your a good person the town eill have your back. If you cause problems for the people in the town we will have you dealt with. There is nothing racist about Jasons message. This young has been influenced by the media heavily

@@Vonladen can you blame him for seeing things that weren't there? Can you blame him for not even looking up any information before making this ignorant, racist video?
In my small town, there was SO much respect. Racism was not allowed! No matter your color, we protected each other.. So much history that spilled over to me in college orientation from Daddy’s small town. Me, 5’3”, blonde, and maybe 120 lbs (DD was at least 20 lbs). I was standing next to a massive black man. As we introduced ourselves, said our names and hometown, we both looked at each other. I held out my hand, he interlaced his fingers with mine. Nothing even remotely romantic! Our dads were childhood best friends.
Your father is on the right track with this one. He is referring to anyone (of any race) coming to a small town. His advice is that if you have plans to act out and start crap and such in a small town just be prepared to be dealt with appropriately. Everybody in small towns tend to be a close knit community and “we take care of our own” in as far as looking out for those we know and love. The message never once targets a specific group of people. The media has hyped this song to be something it’s not. Whoopi Goldberg is now in serious danger of losing her job on The View because of the way her and her co-hosts blasted Aldean as racist without even bothering to watch the video. All they did was go off what they were told. Yes, he is from Macon, Georgia. That is a bigger town than my hometown (Albany, Georgia). The courthouse in the video was indeed the site of (to my understanding) one lynching in the 1920’s. Let’s be honest here… at that time do you really think that was an isolated incident? Not excusing it at all but it wasn’t uncommon back then. The courthouse is located in Columbia, Tennessee.
no but seriously…. i’ve lived in a small town in north georgia my entire life and it doesn’t matter what you look like….. we see shit going down, it’s gonna be handled. you just don’t disrespect your OWN community and the people in it like that. any time anything has happened where i live…. it’s just. handled. on the other hand- i lived in atlanta for about 4 years after college and the stuff i saw…. unheard of. that girl who got thrown from the lambo in buckhead. she was my friend. i moved back home immediately after that from being scared to even sleep in my apartment. it has nothing to do with race. people need to just open their eyes.
Did you listen to the lyrics? “Sucker punch somebody on the sidewalk, car-jack an old lady at a red light, pull a gun on the owner of a liquor store.. “ He’s clearly talking about criminals, not black people. Did you look at the video? Almost every person doing something criminal had white skin, from the hand holding the Molotov cocktail in the beginning, all the way through, and even the skinny white dude that got clocked by the big dude with a jug of milk in his hand. If you want to see racism, you will see it everywhere you look, whether it’s there or not, but this one is a big stretch. I understand that you already had your mind made up before you even heard or saw it, and that is a poor move always. Better to learn how to think for yourself rather than listen to the hate-baiters. Some context: sadly there was one lynching at that particular court house a hundred years ago, but it is highly doubtful that was even known by Jason, as it is not an uncommon site for filming, and also close to his home. His message was simple: if you try that big-city violence and crime here-we all know one another (black, white and brown) and we gonna defend and take care of each other. I wish you peace, and I hope you can open your mind to more than hating and promoting hate. ✌️
people often see and twist things to fit their own agenda...I think this young man has been blinded by the hate that he can not see past it to even view the video
Because indoctrination is a powerful tool. He was so excited to show his dad, because he thought he was right about it being a racist video and he would get a kick out of his dad getting angry. But the difference is his dad is not from this indoctrinated era. He saw nothing wrong after watching. We're living in weird times.@@dawnford8127
If people are seeing this and thinking it’s racist about black people, they might be the ones with the racist thoughts. White and black people, among other groups, were out committing the same crimes and rioting just the same. If you think “criminals” only refers to black people, maybe you need to reflect on your own thoughts about black people.

Then why use blm protests as footage? There's plenty of other races out there destroying property or hurting people in America yet they chose to only use blm protests and black people robbing stores and shit.
There is absolutely NOTHING at all racist about this song or Jason Aldean. He wasn't saying anything specifically about any one group. He was referring to people that are tearing up towns all over America by looting and burning. Jason is not a Spanish artist and he is certainly NOT racist. He doesn't have a racist bone in his body actually. If he did, I wouldn't condone anything he does. He is from Tennessee, and has close friends of many ethnic backgrounds. He stands for what is good and right. He is sick of all of the antifa nonsense where they running around, burning down places. You're absolutely wrong about the song, it is not racist. He definitely doesn't have issues with any one race or ethnicity. As I mentioned, he has problems with people ruining the businesses people have worked for, by burning people's property and places of work. If you listen to the song, there isn't anything racist in it.
living in a small town, I can personally say that your father would be more then welcomed here and I would even give him a bed in my home and a seat at my table. What the message here is that the people in a small town will always be ready to take care of problems whatever they maybe.
Dad's medallion says a lot about his wisdom and serenity.... his willingness to listen and observe in its entirety shows maturity and discernment even with his son egging him on. God bless ya brother!
Lot of respect for dad. Listened to everything and still took good time to very articulately explain how he viewed the song/video. He didn't just jump to gis son's side
with all respect, this song had nothing to do with race in any regard. he was simply explaining how the way he grew up and in many small towns, people take care of each other and crazy things that happen wouldn’t happen there. the message is actually a good one, you just perceived it completely wrong.
I grew up in a small town in WV, people would steal your tires off the car right outside your house, and we all had guns in the house. In the slums nobody gives af and it ain’t gonna change. Small rich town might be like that though.
You and this hoe Jason Aldean are racist. The courthouse being a place where they use to lynch black people is a coincidence? Him naming crimes that are stereotypes given to black people is a coincidence? The fuck outta here with that bullshit.
That courthouse been filmed in several movies but no one protest about it until now. Selective outrage …smh, . Song refers to those antifathugs & criminals, not to target black people.
The funny part is this song is only considered racist due to the filming location. What people don't talk about is that Jason Aldean didn't choose the location. This song is not about race, its about criminals and the stupid lawless behavior that is becoming the norm in big cities.
@@cologneking7776one clip out of many. Face it, its selective outrage, and BLM is a scam. Buying mansions with the money instead of following their mission statement. And like it or not BLM was part of the senseless violence in those riots.
Josh how is he racist? He never said black people or white people, he's specifically talking about all the people that wanted to destroy cars, light flags on fire, and spit in cops faces, HE IS TALKING ABOUT ONLY THE DISRESPECTFUL AND DESTRUCTIVE!
It’s the clips they used in the video and how much “America” this video is. A white man expressing this song and the visuals is what gives someone reason to believe it’s “racist”
The dad is actually using some critical thinking. The son is taking what the mainstream media is feeding him and runnin' with it. With age typically comes wisdom.
100% correct. If he spots the racism then call it out. Btw people of all colors used to hang at almost every courthouse so yeah I imagine a black person was hung there, but that doesn’t mean it’s. Direct link to racism.
Got the message all wrong with it being racist, it don't matter what color you are, being from a small-town you're part of our town, it's simply saying you wouldn't find a small town destroying it's businesses there's other ways to go about it.
I live 1 hour from a city. During the riots about a hundred broke off and came to my small town. They were met with police on the top steps of the courthouse and civilians at the bottom steps of the courthouse protecting the courthouse and the cops. There were civilians position all over the downtown area with long guns. The rioters assess the situation about 30 minutes and left. When all was said and done everyone shook hands and the police ask no questions as to where all those ar's came from. We took care of our own. I live in a mixed town and there were mixed civilians downtown. So there is your answer
When they were bussing the rioters to other towns, my small town got word that we were on their list. We then found large piles of bricks around our town. Our citizens of all races lined the streets prepared for them and when the bus did show up, it slowed down and when they saw we were prepared they didn't stop. We also take care of our own.
The song isn't about racism it's about community. Say if anyone tries acting a fool in a small town they will be dealt with accordingly. No matter their race, sex, political standing or religious standing. There is a code in small towns that bring the community together in troubling times or with situations.
That same courthouse was also used to film a scene for the movie Hannah Montana. It’s a well know place to shoot productions. The song isn’t about race, it’s about taking care of your neighbors. Also, young man you need to be a bit more respectful to your elders, we have much more life experience than you do, not to mention wisdom. Also, stop listening to the media, they’re making people go crazy.
It's only a racist song if you're some kind of criminal. Do the people in the video destroying property and attacking people look like decent upstanding citizens to you? It says you get away with a lot less of that crap in a small town than you do in a big city. Dad, you've got the right attitude and thank you for educating your son.
Absolutely, how many times did he mention going down there or, there would be plenty of people that would go if a fight were what he was looking for! He even had his son excited, saying, let's go.
He’s saying don’t be disrespectful, don’t burn down towns, flags, rob stores, disrespect police! It’s not about race. Whether you’re White, Black, Indian, Asian, Mexican doing those things is not right. And if anyone wants to try that in a small town, people who believe in those morals will fight back. That’s how I see it anyway.
You know what I’ve decided? Anyone that calls me a racist when I am NOT, I will call them a niqqer. If non black people are not allowed to use that word when blacks are, then blacks should not be allowed to use the word racist. I’m so SICK of it. Let me tell you, a new young black clerk in a store I shop at, openly stated I was trying to steal. This was when I was checking out. I found the manager and was telling her what happened. The clerk then proceeded to call me racist over and over. Man, I went off on her like July 4th fireworks. And I said it loud enough for everyone in the store to hear me. This happened just yesterday. The word racist to a white person is as offensive as the N word is to blacks. I’m 73 years old and nobody is going to do that to me again!! And as I said in the store, I have enough money, I don’t need to steal. Josh’s dad needs to knock some sense into him. Or someone else might. Josh is just a low low class punk arse kid.
Bold of you to assume he can read. I feel sorry for his dad. I don't know where he went wrong, but god damn did his kid turn out to be a disappointment.
This song is so far from being racist. The people who think it's racist are the ones who just assume its only black people who do all this destructive behavor. He's saying that this stuff won't happen in a small town because everyone in a small town know each other and will protect each other more then in cities.
@@dansari4309actually it's not you make it racist because you love having it around. It will never end till people like you stop fueling it to make yourself happy.
Oh millennials. I hope you drop the attitude young man and realize this song means no matter what color you are, if you live in a small town your neighbors are going to help you. Protect our family, friends, and homes. It’s all this song means.💚
Millenial...he is a baby...it isn't even about generation its how anyone is being raised. Boomers, x, millennial, gen z, mini millenials...EVERY generation has bad or misguided apples.
There's nothing racist about this song. Sounds like you need a reason to be mad. How do we break down these barriers when a video and song like this gets hate for no good reason? SAD!!
Exactly I’m embarrassed to be apart of this generation in all honesty not just people not thinking for themselves how everyone acts and all the bs the government is doing I’m only 18 but all the bullshit the government tries to throw on people is ass
No way! This is not racist!! You are so damn wrong. He's telling his boys to be honest & proud. Have your boys watch his brothers back. Let em grow up to be someone He's damn proud to be!! Where are you from? 1960? Is this something from your heart? Did you grow up in a small town??? Or are you repeating history 100 years ago? I am not! Get over it...
With all respect this has nothing to do with race, it is about people doing harm to people. In a small town people look after each other thats white, black or whatever you won't get away with acting a fool.
There is absolutely no racism involved in this nor is the message about racism it is simply just about how if you try to do this stupid ignorant stuff in a small town like where he is from that it won’t just get let slide and be ok because it is not okay to do any of this stuff by no means and on any level. SO GO AHEAD AND TRY THAT IN A SMALL TOWN!!!!!
Jason Aldean had a sold out concert in Chicago, he's not afraid to go to big cities. The song (and video) isn't racist, when it calls out acting a fool, and shows men and women of many races as examples... And the cops were just as many races too. Now I can't speak for the artist, I don't know the man personally. What I do know personally, is I have never encountered a Sundown Town, because we won. The racist generations are in nursing homes, (or refuse to give up their seats in D.C.) we grew up different. "Around here we take care of our own," means we take care of ALL of our neighbors. My father actually drew down on 3 guys who were trying to steal our Mexican neighbor's car, and that was the mid 1990's.
Listen to your dad, open your eyes when you watch it, and see that there is no color in crime. His message is very clear about take care of our own meaning the folk from that town (all of them regardless of color). Stop believing what the racist media wants you to think.
There is no racism in this song. I live in Owasso, Oklahoma and Westboro Baptist Church a few years ago thought they would come protest at a fallen soldiers funeral. They found out real quick this smaller town won't stand for it and ran them out of town. It's the exact same premise. We protected the family from having to see that and experience that.
I think your dad gets it. This is not about race it is about crime and letting it happen in the big cities. There many places used for lynching. One was too many. Small towns protect their own no matter their race. They are a community and are together.
Here I am 8 months later and it still floors me watching this. I really enjoy the content these two put out. I understand that everyone has and is entitled to an opinion. With that just as important is the right for anyone to VOICE said opinion however they see fit. However, I unfortunately see something happen far too often, especially among the younger crowd. I see too many people open their mouths and spew nonsense they heard in the "echo chamber". People will hear someone saying something and whatever is being said becomes "fact" to them. they don't form their own opinion without prior bias swaying how they feel about something they know nothing about. I hope that all made sense. I would stand tall and dare ANYONE to tell me one thing Jason said in this song that portrayed an individual race of people in an unfavorable light. Name just one thing he said that even hinted at a race of people let alone tell me something he said that projects a negative opinion of any individual race. All I hear in this song is a man from a small town saying that all the rioting, violence, and destructive foolishness that is going on in so many communities around the country would not fly for a second where he is from. saying that the people from his hometown would have something to say about it if it was happening there. please don't convince yourself that you are a victim ever. I don't know about y'all but I damn sure won't let any man treat me like a victim so why would I treat myself as one. sorry for the novel. I just felt some sort of way about this one.
This kid probably knows nothing, about a small town. I hope he lives in Chicago, NY or any place where gangs, violence is common! I hope he never moves to a small.town!
@@PaulineNewman-r5q well I think it would do him some good to go live in a town were everybody knows everybody. Where if there is an emergency it isn't one person's problem, the whole town will rally together to fix the issue. A town that knows without one another there would be no town. Anyone from a small town knows what it means to really see the place they call home grow And prosper. It is never about what sex you are, what race you are, or where you come from as long as you call that town home they are as good as family.
The song is basically talking about people who have no human decency, no respect, criminals.. and the younger guy immediately resorts to “He talking about black people”.. it’s so funny how ignorant people are.
If I may help define the song..... In a nutshell.... The song is describing how smaller country towns do not tolerate violence against its citizens/town. It was referring to the cities in the last few years that have stood back & allowed riots, violence, assaults, property burnt to the ground, etc. And furthermore referring to small town folk would have put an end to it to stand up for their town and it's citizens instead of merely watching it be destroyed. It wasn't about race. It wasn't about gender. It wasn't about any particular city or town. It was about having pride for where they live and defending their own and their neighbors. In a short...... it's about keeping the peace!
victim mentality is what is separating this country. why are there still sides when there is SO much more for us to worry about? I know the answer. wild
They need to point out exactly and explain specifically what is one thing racist in this song, if there is to be a shred of any evidence to the claim that the song is racist, which the son said, otherwise he is making a serious false accusation or smearing an innocent person. The dad spoke far more sense than the son did, at least in the beginning of the reaction. I did not find one thing racist in this song, despite watching and listening carefully. several times. Also, I have listened to many reactions of people with different skin colors that didn't find one racist thing in the song, in fact, the vast majority liked the song and the message. The message being about wholesale, solid family, and community values and against looters, vandals, those that assault others, and all kinds of violence. Anyone with with any sense and a working moral compass would be in full support of these decent, neighborly, peaceful people, who will show up and help a neighbor in need and will assist police and all law enforcement, in opposing those that steal, attack injure and kill others, and destroy or vandalize public or private property.
With the exception that he's willing to overlook smash and grab looting, assault and intimidation as somehow fighting racism. Criminal activity perpetuates racism. Logical test: what is detestable about the KKK? Their hatred and criminal action towards people who don't look like them. That's why Dr. MLK was successful, he knew the way to fight it. With love, and perseverance like a Christian.
His father never talked about the crime and the evil in my opinion in that video. All he saw and was looking for was what he was told before hand, which was the racism. So I wouldn’t consider that wise. I think if his son wasn’t sitting next to him, and said what he said in the beginning, he may have seen that video differently.
He's talking about criminals and criminal behavior (doesn't matter what skin color). I'm disappointed that dad caved to son's racism. I'm sure dad will never see my comment. Peace, Love!!
"Judge people not on the color of their skin... but for the content of their character." You know who said that. And im sure he would agree with this songs message. And as a native and white man from a small town, ive never seen any racists. And the people he is "dealing with" is criminals NOT black people. I hope you both see that someday, have a blessed day my brothers through christ.
I come from Philadelphia. I moved to a small town in NC because of the love and embrace of all people of all colors, all genders, all religions and all political views. I am proud to be a person within a small community who welcomes, and loves everyone. Being simple and knowing the difference between right and wrong drove me to this small town. The only thing I lost was a bigger paycheck. It is worth it. Love to everyone
I’m Mexican and I love this song. Nothing racists about it. This song is about good vs bad. Your skin color don’t mean shit. It’s all about who you’re as a person, that’s what matters.

I understand you're retarded and believe anything anyone tells you for clicks. Damage control that fam.
Its honestly pathetic that you think that this song is racist.
You dun Fed up with your take on projecting innocent americans.

Black Lives Matter includes white people committing crimes during the “protests” which turned into violent riots. The video also showed a white woman and a hispanic woman. As a Latino man this song is not racist. You are
Simon carnal!
As a Hispanic, I agree with you.
I love this comment brother🤝
That's so true... I'm Filipino
This really shows a difference in generations. One is understanding, respecting and humble. Meanwhile the other is narrow minded and assuming it's offensive while he is on his phone during the video.
Truth
Well said.
I’ve been subscribing to all the Jason Aldean reactions, except this one. Hard pass.
Some people go through life looking for ways to call themselves a victim or to feign outrage and offense at something that isn't there.
This is the first guy calling it racist and with a victim attitude view.
My question is, why are people moving out of big city.
Hmmm 🤔
dude you can tell how confused and irritated the dad is bc his son is calling something racist bc someone told him it is.
The dad looks like he needs to call it a night and go to bed.
Dad is Gen X. He doesn't virtue signal or play any fake-woke games. Respect.
Whoopieand the others on tve view
Racists see racism everywhere.
Maybe he needs to react to all the other black people reactions and see that none of them find it racist.
you can tell how disappointed a father is in his son. nothing else needs to be said
This is a perfect example of someone having an opinion because that's the opinion the media told them to have. No sort of thinking for himself. Just being told how to feel and going along with it because thats the easiest route.
Facts
so right, and so unfortunate
it's so clear that this young man is effectively clueless.
Perfectly stated
Ya'll are all wrong! Watch all their videos! You are all guilty of the very thing you accused him of. Snap judgement without doing your due diligence
What really made me hysterical is the fact he said “yeah he’s talking about black people.” When it’s white peoples in that cops face 😂
This is an example of a young man who is brainwashed by social media who says it’s a racist song when in reality it’s not even close. So now he believes it’s racist before he even hears it
I will record it in the Spanish version...Love this song.
agreed
100% buddy is listening to the song with the idea that it's all about black people. Even though dad told him there's more white people doing dumb shit in the video than black. Young man didn't even hear that from his dad, in one ear out the other. He's dead set on this being a song about black folks.
Right. Judged it by someone else's point of view which made them view it negatively off rip
WOW THIS DAD AND SON DUEL,THOUGHT POPS WAS GOING TO SCHOOL HIS SON!!! Or you do
How can you possibly think we’re that stupid…
Explain how this isn't racist??
Explain realistically how it is?! He NEVER even mentions race! If you say it's racist, that's because you THINK racist! You must be imagining that he's talking about a certain race! Heck, even most of the thugs were white! His "running mate" even says the majority of negative acts were being done by whites! Freaking Limousine Liberals! Candace named them right. That guy wanted so badly to say it was racist, that nothing he said, even made any realistic sense! Bandwagoner!
@@muddygeomancer6797 how is it
“He talking about black people” he says as there is a white person on the screen
Amen to that 🙌

Even some black people, when you say criminal, they put a black face on it. Sad
people often see and twist things to fit their own agenda...I think this young man has been blinded by the hate that he can not see past it to even view the video
We live in another time and century racism needs to end !!!! we are all people we need to love one another and be kind to everyone help when you can and not tear each other down . Instead raise each other up . Make a better today for tomorrow and the ones that will follow after we are gone .

He’s Gen Z for sure.
Bullshit!
The video brings more emotion. The song is about community and standing up for one another against people acting a fool.
This song is amazing. Im glad he made it. Everything he says is how us small town folk feel here in America!! #TeamUSA 🇺🇸
He need to expand his music catalog cause I’m a black man and nothing he said was bout race Josh stop just watching the video and listen to the lyrics
Lmao Josh wants to be all mad for nothing.
victim mentality is what is separating this country. why are there still sides when there is SO much more for us to worry about? I know the answer. wild

Damn bruh i thought yall would be able to read between the lines on this, yall let me down with this reaction this isnt about race
thank you.
I personally think its a song talking about Antifa and people that use BLM as a reason to burn and loot
EXACTLY 💯 %
“Nothing in the world is more dangerous than sincere ignorance and conscientious stupidity.”
-Martin Luther King Jr.
Your father is a wise man. Pure respect for him
With the exception that he's willing to overlook smash and grab looting, assault and intimidation as somehow fighting racism. Criminal activity perpetuates racism. Logical test: what is detestable about the KKK? Their hatred and criminal action towards people who don't look like them. That's why Dr. MLK was successful, he knew the way to fight it. With love, and perseverance like a Christian.
That’s three of you with no brains cells then cheers for clearing it up 👍🏼

His father never talked about the crime and the evil in my opinion in that video. All he saw and was looking for was what he was told before hand, which was the racism. So I wouldn’t consider that wise. I think if his son wasn’t sitting next to him, and said what he said in the beginning, he may have seen that video differently.
No he's not. He's a racist just like his son.
He's talking about criminals and criminal behavior (doesn't matter what skin color). I'm disappointed that dad caved to son's racism. I'm sure dad will never see my comment. Peace, Love!!
No he's not he's talking about black people
@@muddygeomancer6797Sybau goofy you want to bring race in whenever possible just sad. . 😂😂😂
@@muddygeomancer6797oh that’s why the majority of riot clips involved hispanics or white people? 😂 you want to be a victim
@@muddygeomancer6797🤡
Race is much less of an issue in the country than how you carry and handle yourself
Bro says “he’s talking about black people” yet right when he said that it was a white woman spitting in a white cops face😂
I 💯 percent agree with you
Thanks POPS. This youngster got a lot to learn. That video is protecting his and where his family sleeps at night. It’s not about racism.
